Please be aware of the current Preston Baker fee pricing strategy. At the valuation stage we were advised to make an initial (non-refundable) pre-payment to receive a reduction in their eventual fees. The range of pre-payments differed greatly from a relatively small £295 up to the full amount that would be due upon sale. The latter figure could be many thousands of pounds being paid up front again non-refundable; without any guarantee of sale success. We also believe that our house was over valued to secure our business. In fact a few weeks later we were advised to reduce the price by £25,000.
