Been using Quicken For years. Even my mathematics hubby loves it.
Too expensive for basic user
Way too expensive for those of us who use it for Home use and literally just use it to keep track of accounts. I don’t use the Bill pay. I don’t use the advanced investments. I literally login twice a month when I get paid to balance my accounts.
Downloading my fidelity accounts is not…
Downloading my fidelity accounts is not working and causes error in totals all the time. I have to enter them manually – so what is the use of downloading from Quicken?

Wish it was better
Quicken over the years as been problematic and continues having various issues with historical data, service connections or application functionality. Every update "fixes" something while breaking something else. I deal with these on going issues because their is presently no alternative. Hoping someday for a reliable product from someone.

32 Years and still waiting
I am a 32-year user of Quicken but it continues to lack robust reporting, AI integration, and a robust mobile app that reflects the features of the desktop. Your current subscription price makes it unattractive to young people or novice money managers. I remain a loyal customer because it is my only choice.

Quicken has glitches
Quicken has glitches. Occasionally, it asks me to sign in (again). Then, when I close the program and reopen it, it opens right up. The register columns open with all asterisks. I close the program and reopen it; the asterisks are gone. The analysis tools are NOT worth the price increases!!
The annual fee is way too high.

Doesn't update more than 3 accounts at my bank, so I have to keep resetting the account that did not update. Update now button within individual accounts is greyed out and does not work. Still does not work in August 2026.
