Everytime you "improve" Qucken, you break more than you fix. If there weas any product out there, i would drop yours forever
It is good software, however; They want access to a bank card at anytime. They should go back to letting you buy an upgraded version, rather than holding you hostage in a yearly rental agreement!
This software keeps getting more expensive year after year. Time to look for other alternatives.
I had a financial change that required an upgrade. The associate explained and we did the upgrade and also a discounted extension
Instructions for asset maturities and rollovers not good. Could have more support in general.
I have been using Quicken for many, many years, and I am VERY Satisfied with it. I plan on using it for Many More Years. Great Job, Quicken. Duane B
Every time I go in to my quicken I have to re-do the "tags" and category for the entry ...it wants to put items all in one category - I've called and had the customer service person help me change it so it doesn't do it automatically but it didn't last long and it's back to changing a lot of the line items to whatever it feels like it. I really hate having to re-do it!!
I’ve been a Quicken user since 1985 and have stuck with it through many changes over the decades. The current state of the program is the worst I’ve experienced. Performance has degraded badly. The program takes an unreasonably long time to load and has become almost unusable for routine work. The connection to America’s Credit Union (americascu.org) remains problematic. After clicking to download transactions, it still forces a 2FA step every time. There was also a prolonged download failure for this credit union (and several other banks/credit unions, based on the community forum) that lasted from roughly November 2025 through June 2026.Long-time users expect occasional connection hiccups, but the combination of severe slowdowns and recurring bank-connection problems has made the product far less reliable than it used to be.
I like the auto download and the ease of coming up with reports.
I tried to open and down load new data and lost everything. I have still been unable to update/upload. At this time I am not sure I can open my last file.
I am a 75 year old user who has minimal needs but found it to do much more than I needed. Additionally, my wife uses it for her budgeting.
I have been using Quicken for many years. It has the capability of tracking & keeping record of all my financial transactions. I love the option of being able to scan the bills, stmts, receipts, etc as an attachment to the transaction. I use this option often and has helped me look items up years later. Quicken is easy to use all the way around. I highly recommend this product.
I still have not resolved my issues with Quicken. My last communciation with Q was over an hour. The CS person was rude, and I haven't called back as I didn't want to go thru that experience again. She accussed me of not doing as she old me to do when I had told her my internet was slow and it took time for me to act on commands. Not good customer relations
THe 133% price increase over the last 3 years is terrifying. Since you've taken advatage of my loyalty you now enjoy the benefits of a monopoly. My first 30 years of using Quicken I purchased the program 3 times. Now I'm forced to pay dearly every year; and for a program that has for me changed very little in 33 years. Enjoy it while it lasts, greed doesn't sit well with consumers.
Quicken Classic Premiere has been dependable but over the years there have been multiple issues with downloads from financial institutions. There have also been problems after app updates with older devices (HP notebook). These problems seem to get worse the larger the file gets on my device(I do not use the cloud). I would use my iOs devices if the app for them was remotely as robust as for Windows; it is sadly lacking for Mac users🤷🏼
This generally works well but is slow to respond during data entry. At least 2 areas for improvement: 1) Increase text space in "split transactions" screen. Sone entries need more explanation. 2) When editing to remove old "memorized transactions" after each removal it returns to the top of the list. This is a real hassle when there are many similar entries, especially deep in the alphabet
