The software is easy to use, but the improvement on my wedding footage was smaller than I expected, while the rendering time was too long for my workflow.

Wildlife photographer using LR + Topaz
I use Lightroom and then typically Topaz for sharpening and maybe noise reduction. Generally I start with noise reduction in Lightroom so may only do a little sharpening once in Topaz. Mostly I shoot wildlife so eyes, fur, etc. Think: Pika, birds/loons, Mtn Goats, Marmots, bears, moose, etc. Keep up the effort on Wildlife support. I haven't tried Giga Pixel.

I heard of what topaz labs could do. But I had to prove it for myself. I took an old, really terrible quality video with bad sound, and it amazingly transformed it into something watchable. I know now that everything good said about the program was true.

Couldn't get it to work effectively, not how well it said it would anyway. Bought Mosaic then found it doesn't work with what i had bought. Very disappointed. But to be fair i was given a full refund so thankyou for that.
Today i started a trial on a new app and it's fantastic, so I am much happier and will now buy this one.

Object denoise and sharpen are helpful; human faces go to quickly to Hollywood film makeup look; which I am sure many like, but I like real/natural better.

The first couple of videos were great and only took 1.5 hours to enhance. After that I tried one more and the conversion time went up to 19 days with the same settings after letting it run for about an hour. I'll read more about the program to see what I'm doing wrong.

A few years ago
A few years ago, I purchased Topaz AI on a different computer, but for some reason the older version seems to work better than the one on my new computer. It would have been really nice to be able to use the older version on my new computer.

70yr old 8mm home movies not only restored but looking better than they did originally!!! Topaz removed the grain, improved focus & basically resurrected long departed loved ones. I’ve been laughing, smiling & crying as I watch. All the time it understandably takes to render is more than worth it!! I almost gave up until Margaux in tech support steered me to Starlight Precise 2.5! The result is PRICELESS!!!

The software has always been OK. I use it a few times per year for sharpening and enhancing images but it's never been good enough to use as a regular tool. This year my when my subscription was up they changed their offerings and increased the price of the subscription, significantly cut what I have access to for the price and offered no discount on a renewal. Honestly with so many other software companies on par or ahead I don't know if will use this software again.
