Expensive, Unreliable, and Non-Existent Customer Service I have flown with Transavia five times recently (Paris–Milan, Paris–Porto, and Nice), and every single flight was delayed. Two of those delays exceeded two hours. For a so-called low-cost airline, Transavia is often priced similarly to full-service carriers, yet the experience is dramatically worse. Reliability is extremely poor, communication is minimal, and customer service is virtually non-existent. The most frustrating part is how passenger issues are handled. Delays can mean missed meetings, family events, or other important commitments, yet any request for compensation or even a meaningful response is simply ignored. The company seems to have little regard for the inconvenience caused to its customers. Based on my experience, Transavia represents the worst aspects of the low-cost model—without offering the low prices that might justify it. Unless reliability is of no importance to you, I would strongly recommend considering another airline.
Extremely disappointing experience with Transavia. On June 19, I was supposed to fly to Paris to meet my daughter and attend a concert with her the following evening. While I was already on my way to Prague Airport, I received the news that my flight had been cancelled. I spent from 4:00 AM until almost 11:00 AM at the airport trying to find a solution. Eventually, I had to rearrange my entire trip and purchase an alternative ticket with Air France in order to reach Paris on time. At the airport, passengers were given forms and advised to keep receipts for expenses, as certain costs would be reimbursed. We were also instructed to submit a compensation claim under EU passenger rights regulations. Today, I received a response stating that compensation would not be paid because the cancellation was allegedly caused by adverse weather conditions. I find this explanation very difficult to believe. The weather in Paris was excellent that day—clear skies, sunshine, and temperatures around 33°C. My daughter had already landed in Paris earlier that day on a flight from Bucharest without any issues. As far as I could tell, my flight was the only one that was cancelled. I understand that cancellations can happen and that safety always comes first. What I do not understand is the lack of transparency and what feels like an attempt to avoid paying compensation by citing circumstances that do not appear consistent with what passengers experienced. The cancellation itself was stressful enough. The handling of the situation afterward has been even more disappointing. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Transavia
The worst experience i have ever had travel in Europe... The kind of disorganization is terrible and I paid business for nothing is exactly the same as economy... First and last time in this airline!
I recently flew with Transavia and experienced unacceptable behavior from the staff. While disembarking, our bag got stuck. We weren't even being slow, but a female flight attendant impatiently told my mother and me to hurry up. When my mother politely replied, 'We are trying our best', the flight attendant snapped back: 'No you're not.' This level of arrogance and lack of empathy is shocking for airline staff. I do not know what the arrogant flight attendant was named but i flew monday 22 of june and had a departure at 10:15 am from sevilla airport,
Strollers are impossible to pick up; they don't arrive after an hour and a half. They even take the ones meant for the plane, and then you wait forever for them. This airline is a complete disaster, and I hope they lose customers and go bankrupt.
I had a terrible experience with Transavia. The flight was delayed, and the boarding process was pure chaos due to a complete lack of organization. To make matters worse, the staff was incredibly arrogant and condescending. Once on board, the comfort was non-existent. The seats are hands down the hardest and most uncomfortable I have ever seen on any airline. On top of that, they hit me with a ridiculous 70-euro charge at the gate, claiming my standard backpack exceeded their dimensions—just a blatant cash grab. Terrible service, zero comfort, and arrogant staff. Save your money and fly with someone else.
My flight from Crete to Paris was delayed 40 minutes due to awful organization, and the airport staff in Crete were incredibly arrogant, just shouting at everyone. Onboard, the seats were rock hard and uncomfortable. Worst of all, they scammed me out of 70 euros for my backpack, claiming it was oversized, even though it fit perfectly under the seat on the way there. Save your money and sanity. Never again.
For me as 1st experience, was good, well a plus , two times Poto-Paris, Paris-Crete, i read so much and bad, but, forbme and my wife 10 Star a Scale 1-5, read de info, if you know the rules of the company all will be 5 star when i read , bla bla bags, bla bla this and that, apoio this things, i was 50% warning with transavia because wath i read, but now bullshit , i trust transavia and will choose transavia if they are a opcional next time
Today, while checking in for my flight to Montpellier, I had a very disappointing experience with one of your agents. According to my reservation, I was entitled to check one bag and bring a carry-on bag. However, the agent repeatedly insisted that I was not allowed to do so, even after I politely showed her my reservation details. Rather than verifying the information or checking your company’s policy, she simply dismissed my concerns. I also politely asked if it would be possible to move to a different seat. Without making any effort to check availability, she immediately replied that there were no seats available. This was difficult to understand, as the flight appeared to have many open seats. What was most concerning was not the policy itself, but the agent’s attitude. She was dismissive, unhelpful, and unwilling to assist or verify basic information. A company’s reputation is often shaped by the employees who interact directly with customers, and experiences like this leave a lasting negative impression. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that additional training can be provided to ensure agents are knowledgeable about company policies and treat passengers with professionalism and respect.
Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced from an airline. Would not recommend whatsoever, even if the difference is over $100 with another airline. Their flights are cheap, but not cheap enough for the service and experience you get.
Impossible to give more then 1 star. They often cancel their flights and switch it with a cheaper airplane of "privilege style" which is an ultra ultra low cost of Spain which doesn't have legroom at all... Our reserved seats near the exits that costs 30 euro per seat are gone... And when trying to contact them the only option is WhatsApp, on which they respond only after 2 or 3 hours... They respond with confusing messages as if they don't understand English. While I finally got a message back he was talking about a refund...I asked him about what he was speaking and then he said it was not ment for me the message... It's the worst airline I've ever experienced and I'm not yet in the plane... I'll never book anything with that company anymore. Booking.com should stop selling tickets for them.
My family recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Transavia that has left me with no intention of flying with the airline again. We were travelling from Paris Orly to Edinburgh with our two children, aged 1 and 3. We arrived at the airport with plenty of time before departure and have evidence to support this. However, we became stuck in an exceptionally long passport control queue where only two desks were open despite large numbers of passengers waiting. Passengers repeatedly raised concerns with airport staff that we were at risk of missing our flight. We were assured that the gate had been informed, that passengers would be prioritised if necessary, and that anyone at risk of missing the flight would be contacted. None of this happened. Approximately 12 passengers missed the same flight under the same circumstances. This was not a case of one family arriving late. What I find most concerning is that no meaningful effort appears to have been made to locate passengers before departure. Our checked baggage had already been loaded onto the aircraft and subsequently had to be removed, meaning the airline was aware that checked-in passengers had not boarded. Despite this, no calls were made, no announcements were made to us, and no assistance was provided. When we finally reached the gate, we were simply told to purchase new flights and submit a complaint afterwards. The complaints process has been equally disappointing. After months of correspondence and being passed between multiple customer service agents, Transavia's final position is that it accepts no liability for what happened and has offered only a €214 travel voucher despite our documented losses being substantially higher. The airline has repeatedly focused on airport queues and departure slot restrictions while failing to address why no meaningful attempts were made to locate or assist affected passengers. The financial impact was frustrating, but what disappointed me most was the complete lack of accountability and customer care shown towards a family travelling with two very young children. Based on both the airport experience and the subsequent handling of the complaint, I cannot recommend Transavia.
My family recently had a very disappointing experience with Transavia and, as a result, I would not choose to fly with them again. Our checked baggage had already been loaded onto the aircraft and later had to be removed, yet no announcements, calls, or assistance were provided. When we finally reached the gate, we were simply told to purchase new flights and submit a complaint. After months of correspondence, Transavia declined responsibility and offered only a €214 travel voucher despite our losses being significantly higher. While the financial impact was frustrating, the lack of accountability and customer care shown to a family travelling with two very young children was particularly disappointing. Based on both the airport experience and the handling of our complaint, I cannot recommend Transavia.
Desperately poor service. Booked a flight on Transavia using KLM points. Nobody takes responsibility for any questions and requests. Transavia say it is KLM's problem and yes, of course, KLM say it is Transavia's probleem-result 2 hours of hassle and 8 phone calls later In the end KLM promised to cancel the ticket and return my points. Instead they checked me in so now according to Transavia I either travel or lose everything. Pathetic service from both organisations who seem to have no way of communicating with each other.
Your lousy airline is a rip off. You need to make your terms and all information available when booking a flight. You bury it so most people won’t bother to look. I would never fly with you and I will make it well known in the EU to all travelers to never use your janky, misleading “terms and conditions.
It’s terrible, The 95% of the flights are delayed. They don’t compensate, they’ll made an excuse and also the treatment it’s regrettable… I’ve taken 4 flights in the last 2 months and all of them were delayed. They don’t even offer water or anything. DONT BOOK WITH THEM.
