Is this a scam???

My husband paid for a life insurance policy for several years. He passed away on July 23rd, 2026, and as his wife and beneficiary, I can't access his policy because of a cybersecurity attack. I've submitted several claims online and was called once and told that they can't access his policy. The cybersecurity attack happened almost a month ago, and I still have no access to the policy. No one is reaching out to me, and you can't get anyone on the phone. I feel like I'm being scammed. I have two funeral homes that are waiting to be paid. I'm looking for a number to their corporate office..

I have Trustage Whole Life

I have Trustage Whole Life. I've been trying to contact anyone, ANYONE at the company for days. No one answers except someone in India that barely speaks English. They say they are recovering from a Cyber attack. Really? My company recovered in one day. This has been going on for a month. This company is trash.

The company was hacked i called to verify that my account was secure. The rep i talked to was very rude and explained nothing could be done at this point. Can't bother to notify people that the accounts got hacked. I want a refund and a cancelation of this ripoff. Give me back my money. Will be contacting a lawyer.

Wish I could leave 0 stars

I would actually not even give a star at all. I have an annuity with them, formerly CUNA, and have had issues every time I ask for a withdrawal. In May 2026, my withdrawal should have been in my bank in 3 to 4 days, after 13 days had to be pushed through the system and i had to wait 3 more business days. In June 2026, i again made a withdrawal and was told up to 8 business days. I asked to be informed when it was processed because of the issue in May and was told that wasn't possible. After 8 business days, i had to call them again and speak to a supervisor Jolene, as the same issue occured again. Once is a mistake, more than that is a pattern. She told me it would take 3 business days. It is now 8/4, and still no transfer of funds. My transfer should have been completed BEFORE the cyber attack. Now, they can't even give any time lines as to when we will get OUR OWN money? Because an employee downloaded something he shouldn't have? Train your employees so they give out accurate information and treat your customers professionally.

Trustage was hit by cyber attack

Trustage was hit by cyber attack. They did not pay my loan so loan payment was taken from bank account unexpectedly Causing financial problems on my end. I am still paying premiums. Trustage is investigating and not paying claims when there is this thing called backups. COMPUTER BACKUPS ALLOW FOR NORMAL BUSINESS TO CONTINUE WHILE YOU INVESTIGATE! Get your act together Trustage it's been almost a month and you are not living up to your part. Customer service is nonexistent during this time as they keep.saying we.can say nothing. I AM SAYING SOMETHING. THIS COMPANY IS NOT.RELIABLE

TruStage OFFLINE FOR 3 MONTHS

TruStage bought out my Credit Union life insurance coverage company. For the last THREE MONTHS they have put forth that they are experiencing an indentity theft issue and have taken down all online services. HOWEVER, when I called they CANNOT OFFER ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE. NO LIFE INSURANCE PAY OUTS, NO POLICIES, NO INFORMATION. How can an INSURANCE company be offline for three months? The employees that answer the phone are reading from a script and offer NO INFORMATION. So am I supposed to just assume that all the money I paid into my life insurance policy is gone? get a new policy? let them just keep my money? THREE MONTHS

It Started with Website Payment Failure

It started with their website no longer functioning as a method of monthly payment. After several months of having to call in order to pay our premium (where the temporary inability to pay online was deemed permanent), we set up automatic payments. Three months later, our automatic payments ceased to be withdrawn from out bank account. We've been trying to call, however a message (after some time spent with a virtual assistant) informs that systems are down and we should try again tomorrow. So much personal time has been wasted dealing with their technical issues, and unlike most customer experience disasters where some remedy for subpar service is available, the most any insurance company will do is say "sorry about that"...

The website has been down for over a month due to a cybersecurity issue, making it impossible to access my account or obtain my coverage summary. I urgently need this document for my Medicaid review. I called customer service today and filed a complaint with Troy, explaining that without it I could lose my nursing home placement. This situation is unacceptable. There should be a reliable alternative for customers when the website is unavailable. I need this issue resolved immediately.

Due to this cyber security leak

Due to this cyber security leak, I no longer feel safe with this company, I was doubtful about them before this anyways, but the fact I can't call or even write to them is very disturbing, I will no longer do business with this company, and it's been proven they also do not pay out at time of death, they are in fact a 3 rd party business and that's very insecure.

Extremely disappointed

I have been an account holder for a few years. It is disappointing and unfortunate that due to a cyber attack my life insurance company is literally unreachable… for weeks now. I have received zero correspondence from the company related to my account health, warnings of any type or expectations for website login and or operating repairs, absolutely unacceptable !!

TRUSTAGE LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY

So apparently, sometime last week or the earlier part of this week, Trustage found itself under a cyberattack. An attack that they have neglected to inform their customers about, an attack that has hacked their systems so severely that they've had to shut everything down to figure out "HOW BADLY" they were hacked, and an attack that is bleeding over into the financial info they have on us as customers. According to part 2 of the cyberattack (via email), a company pretending to be The Ethos Team sent me an email this morning that states, "your policy will remain with Trustage, but we here at Ethos will be taking the monthly premiums until Trustage has rectified their internal systems issues". I immediately got suspicious because the phone number listed on the email is a California (415) number, and on the other end of the phone were 2 foreign-speaking gentlemen with a whole story concocted about how Ethos was helping Trustage, how the systems were down, and how the payments (our premiums) were gonna be going through them at Ethos now. Still suspicious, I contacted Trustage and was met with resistance, silence, and a customer service rep who needed to put me on hold to tell me his name! I asked that my call be escalated to a supervisor so that this issue could be handled. I was on the phone for nearly 20 minutes with "Seth" denying me access to a supervisor, refusing to transfer the call, and telling me that a supervisor was going to have the same info that he did. My point is this, having worked in operations and the cyber world for over 25 years I was attempting to let Trustage know that our data was cyber-hacked and now the company is about to deal with an attack within an attack if it wasn't made known to the appropriate people to help stop it and that our financial info may already have been hacked as hackers have sent out emails pretending to be a reputable insurance company and have attached a phony business phone number to the email/scam. I, as a customer of Trustage with several life insurance policies, feel that Trustage should have let us know what was/is going on sooner than us finding out via some scammers' email that our info has been hacked. Trustage, you have truly let us down as customers, failed to protect our info, and it's obvious that you're going to wait until you fix the issue before you let us know what happened, how you found out, how you fixed it, and assure us that nothing like this will happen ever again.

My husband passed away on 6/28 and I’ve been unable to get any information in reference to his policy. This is heart breaking that I can’t get information about his policy during this time. Also, they’re leaving the most insensitive voicemails in reference to my inquiries. This is unacceptable

Is my money just gone?

Haven't been able to view my account in weeks, since they were hacked. Unimaginable that a company like this can just screw up this bad. Seems they're hiding any recent reviews, wonder why.
