To clarify, unlike many other tutoring platforms that charge an ongoing commission on every lesson, TUTOROO only applies its commission to the first two weeks of lessons. During this initial period, the typical lesson preference offered is either 1 hour or 1.5 hours per session, once or twice per week, depending on the student’s choice. This one-time service fee supports the work involved in connecting students with suitable tutors, managing introductions, and providing ongoing support during the initial stage. After this period, students and tutors are free to continue lessons directly without any further commission from TUTOROO. It’s also worth noting that if a student decides not to continue after a lesson has already been conducted, the tutor is still eligible to receive 50% compensation for that lesson. This helps ensure tutors are fairly compensated for their time and preparation. Our goal is to keep the platform sustainable while also supporting both students and tutors.
