I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Universal Yums. I originally purchased a subscription as a gift and experienced multiple issues, including shipping problems and repeated boxes. When I renewed the subscription, the first boxes received were the same countries and many of the same items we had already received the previous year. Had I known this in advance, I would not have renewed. I contacted customer service in January to express my concerns and requested a refund for the remaining subscription period. Instead of addressing my request, I received responses explaining why they repeat boxes and was offered an additional box. Months later, my subscription automatically renewed. I immediately contacted Universal Yums and requested that the subscription be canceled and that my renewal charge be refunded. Rather than directly addressing my request, I received unrelated responses and was eventually told to cancel the subscription myself through the website. My frustration is not just with the repeated boxes, but with the lack of meaningful customer service when I repeatedly asked for help. I felt that my concerns were dismissed and that my requests for cancellation and a refund were not properly addressed. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Universal Yums.

Their support is beyond useless

Their support is beyond useless. They can't even accomodate basic requests like pausing because of travel. The past three boxes we've received have been terrible and very badly curated. Greece was literally half a box of breadsticks. Brazil was literally all the same brand of cheap sweets in different flavors. They kept talking about how Brazil would be full of chocolate, but the only real bar of chocolate in there was white chocolate with no cocoa. Pathetic. Don't waste your time with this.

Please dont waste your money!

I can't believe this place. Customer service is terrible and snacks are mediocre. What's worse is that you cant even leave a bad review on their site. They make you contact customer service first. Most people probably give up or never get access to leave a honest review if its not great, so satisfaction is artificially inflated. What BS.

Overpriced Boxes Made Worse By Bad Customer Service

My mom gifted me a 6-month subscription. It was a nice surprise, and initially, I was willing to overlook that one of the chip bags had popped open during shipment. However, shortly after she paid, they launched a "free cookie tin" promo. When we asked if they would honor it for the recent purchase... a standard practice for good companies - they refused. That rigidity turned me off. If you charge a premium price, you need premium support. Because their service was unhelpful, I'm less forgiving about receiving damaged goods. Interesting items, but not worth the high cost or the poor service."

Family Bonding with a side of education fun

My grandchildren absolutely love getting the difference countries each month. We all sit together, my children and their family. We then rate each product of how we think it will be, we even sometimes listen to the music you can scan on the packet. Reading about the different products and getting a small taste of different countries is an education and fun experience for all ages. I 100 percent recommend this wonder adventure for families and friends as a bonding education experience. We are 6 months in an approve of this company!!

Universal Yums is the perfect adventure

I'm an adventurous eater and am willing tovtry almost anything once, so Universal Yums has been a mini adventure each month - I truly never know what to expect from each country. Sometimes I'm surprised that I like a certain flavor or combination. To be truthful, there were a few snacks that I rated pretty low (licorice - yuck!), but for me the fun is giving a new snack a try.

Enjoying the Yum Yum Box as a Family

Me and my family are enjoying all the different countries snacks each month. Pakistan and Taiwan were the biggest favorite in the family. Every time I get to glimpse at the next month Countries snacks I am giddy with excitement on which snacks I am getting and sharing with my family
