Easy to use and maintain. I was a developer for many years and previously wrote a website in HTML and then maintains one written in a major web development language. This was no fun and when I looked to rewrite two websites, I chose WIX so that I wouldn't have to write any code.
I WOULD like a streaming banner for the main page and wish WIX would make one available. When I need this sort of a feature, I put ugly stuff on the main page of the website. Gimme a streaming banner, please.

I am very disappointed with my recent experience with Wix. All along we will always receive notification when an order is placed on the website. This time an order was placed more than a week ago and we had no idea until we received notification from Stripe. We had always strived to deliver goods upon receiving notification and this was not cool at all.

Easy and Fun website building
Making a website with Wix has been nothing but an easy and fun experience. With their help I was able to make a website for my passion project and allowed me to create a very interactive experience for my audience. I've been using Wix for website making since probably 2016 when I made my first portfolio and now I'm using it to host comics and interactive status updates for the characters in the comics. I truly do recommend Wix for first time website makers.

Wix made it possible to build a presentable website without much technical knowledge. The template selection was broad, and the drag-and-drop editor helped me get a portfolio online quickly without writing code. The limitations became more noticeable after the basic site was finished. Image-heavy pages sometimes loaded slowly, and support took longer than expected to answer my questions, even though the eventual response was useful. Wix's strength is accessibility: it lowers the barrier for individuals and small projects that need a site quickly. The concern is how well the experience holds up as a site becomes larger or more demanding. It works for my current needs, but better performance and faster support would make me more confident about scaling with the platform.

I needed to rebuild my website but the company I originally used was no longer available other companies wanted a lot of money to build it that I just couldn’t afford, i decided to try and build it myself, I tried a couple of packages but just couldn’t understand how it worked, I then found Wix so easy to use, the tech support is brilliant and now I have a fabulous website. I really wanted to like Wix…
I really wanted to like Wix because the platform itself offers a lot of useful features and flexibility for building a website. Unfortunately, my experience with customer service left me disappointed.
I canceled my Premium website subscription before I intended to continue using the service, but I was still charged for the following month. I submitted a refund request explaining the situation, and it was denied without what felt like any real consideration.
The technology is solid, but when something goes wrong, customer support is where a company proves its value. In my experience, Wix fell short. If responsive, customer-focused service is important to you, that’s something to keep in mind before committing to a paid plan.

Its been very difficult to use…
Its been very difficult to use futurestay as added Wix feature. I have spent hundreds of hours learning on my own, reading articles and doing research. Its honestly better for short term rental hosts to use a PMS designed for rental. They are by no means perfect either! I am still have trouble with my 1st direct booking though futurestay and need to call them for the 20th time. Everyone is nice. But futurestay is only available M-F and short term rentals are a 24/7 365 day business. Guests don't want to hear about your business hours. They want things fixed ASAP

I have been a loyal Wix customer for many years. Throughout that time, I have not only used Wix for my own projects, but I have also recommended it to countless others and convinced businesses I have worked for to choose and pay for Wix services.
Unfortunately, this loyalty has not been rewarded.
Without any warning or reminder, a significant amount of money was suddenly withdrawn from my account. This happened while I am heavily pregnant and genuinely need those funds. The project in question was started over two years ago, and I was convinced I had already cancelled the subscription. Instead, I was automatically charged for another two-year subscription at nearly double the price I originally paid.
I contacted customer support via chat and was told that my case would be escalated to another team. That never happened. There has been no follow-up, and there is also no opportunity to appeal the decision. I was simply informed that I am not eligible for a refund.
As a result, I have paid a substantial amount for a subscription I neither need nor intended to renew or can afford.
After years of being a loyal customer and actively promoting Wix to others, this experience has been incredibly disappointing. I expected much better treatment, especially for long-term customers.
Sadly, because of the way this situation has been handled, I dont see myself using Wix again or recommend my clients, bosses or friends to use it.

Avoid this scam service
Avoid this scam service. Wix offers an okay web design app, but not competitively better than others. It will likely work well for you, but this is the problem: they lure you in with introductory rates and after those periods end, the subscription costs go through the roof. If you try to cancel, even immediately after the subscription renews, they will not let you. They will keep the money and move on. It’s a terrible, scam-artist style policy from a company that knows they cannot be competitive and wants every red cent before you leave them for a better service. Avoid them or you will regret it.
For context, I used them for years, for multiple websites personal and professional. They charged me a ton of money on an unused site. I tried to cancel the day the charge came through, and they decided to keep the money. Awful company.
