I had a small run prototype that I needed and Xometry came through. Being new to Louisiana and not having a machining area set up yet, I needed to reach out for a part I was making to retrofit a machine we have. I looked for a local shop to work with but pricing was through the roof. Xometry took care of everything and gave me several options to choose from. I chose a reasonable price with a good lead time and my parts came in on the delivery date as well as to print.

45 days after parts were delivered (Order # 22A87-1504F), they are trying to stick us with a $2,240.50 (INV1077852) for something they have admitted in an email chain is their fault. The online quoting platform marked my order as Free Shipping - Small Parcel, but it ended up shipping freight so they are trying to pass that charge along to me. 45 days after delivery, after pricing with my customer (the end user) is already set. This email chain has been going on since March. I would be happy to split the charge with them because I get it, things happen. But their lack of communication, TERRIBLE customer service, useless "account reps" is astounding. Xometry was a big portion of our business for a long time but we will no longer be using them and do not recommend to other businesses.

I wanted a prototype of the design quickly. i was referred to Xometry via a You Tube instruction course on Fusion CAD design software. So I thought I would give it a try.
Everything was seamless, home screen, request a quote, fill in the blanks, up load the design and finish the order. took only a few minutes.
Wait a week and received the sample as promised.

Instant Quoting engine is a convenient way to configure a very specific build, with minimal time. The Manufacturing Engineers did a great job of verifying that the details included in the drawing and model matched the required specifications but did not overly complicate the fabrication process. Pricing is typically superior to the competiton, and delivery of high-quality parts came earlier than expected.

Truly one of the most frustrating companies to work with. I have unfortunately worked with Xometry for 3 years on custom plastic pieces. The product is generally good. But with that comes the lack of knowledge from their team, no response and they WILL put burdens on you that are not your responsibility. Like providing HTS codes on products THEY ARE IMPORTING. Could you imagine if we went to our customers and asked them provide HTS codes on products they are buying. We wouldn't have much business. We have bought the exact same items for 3 years yet no one ever knows what is on our PO even though i am using the quote number and product codes they provided. To that point you do not get a sales rep so forget anyone even knowing who you are. It is a good 2 week lead time to even get an order placed due to their lack of knowledge and general response. You can bet that I am on my way to purchase a damn 3d printer in order to avoid doing business with them.
