Not happy....
So the mechanic showed up an hour late which put me behind schedule. I tried asking the representative for some type of compensation for the inconvenience which they refuse to do. Secondly, I was getting a diagnosis for my engine light but ended getting $1300 worth of recommendations needed. All I technically need for now is a Thermostat and seal replacement but all these extra things were added on. Not to mention the mechanic was very standoffish. I've used them before and had a much better experience but this is my last time. The customer service is horrible.
-5 stars review … they where quickly charge me for $150 for diagnostics. That’s the scam strategy they use. Guy came quickly on time for the diagnostic appointment . After the quote, keep getting rescheduled day after day. 1 week later, still my car broken down.. I couldn’t drive my car to a shop because I couldn’t change gears, towing was above my spending limit.i truly trusted them, at the end all was a scam quickly $150 steal.People stay away from them!!! YOU COULD BE NEXT!!!!

I wish that I could leave a better review. However, I have been a no call no show...twice. Luckily, I was not charged. Unfortunately, I can not recommend this service. Customer service needs to improve.

I’d give a Zero star if I could
I’d give a Zero star if I could. I’ve used this app service on multiple occasions and you would think that by now I would’ve learned my lesson. However after reading the other reviews, it seems Wrench has developed a repetitive habit of quoting online and then changing the price right before the appt is to occur.
My service was for an oil pressure sensor replacement originally quoted at $184 for 1hr of labor in which I’m providing my own part. On the day of my appt when I call to confirm they say my appt is on hold because I had not accepted the price change to $294 for 1.6hr in labor.
I’m literally telling them that what they’re telling me is just wrong because I know where the sensor is and the mechanic (in which I’ve used before) shouldn’t even take the hour to complete.
The rude representative refused to let me speak with a supervisor or manager and she cancelled my appt even though I said I didn’t agree to that. After asking for a supervisor 12 times she transferred me back to their answering service in which I got another rep that claimed she would call me back after checking which I highly doubt will happen.
These ppl are trying to rip the customer off for profit because the mechanic doesn’t even get but 40% of what they charge and even though this specific mechanic I feel is lazy, I’m sure he would’ve verified if they had of reached out like they said they would do.
I called his personal phone to afk if they had contacted him and he won’t even answer yet he also has his own mechanic service. Wrench should be reported to the BBB and any other entity that regulates them because it seems they are trying to scam customers out of money and providing mediocre mechanics.
I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from this company. Their website is misleading, and there was significant misinformation between the company and the mechanic they sent out.
The website advertises that if you proceed with repairs after the diagnostic, you receive a $100 credit and the diagnostic fee is reduced to only $50. However, this is not accurate. You are still charged the full diagnostic fee, and the so-called “$100 credit” only applies toward repairs, which effectively amounts to much less once taxes and additional charges are included.
After paying for the recommended repairs, my vehicle was not fixed and actually seemed to perform worse than before. The mechanic specifically told us that if the repairs did not resolve the issue, we could contact him and he would return at no additional cost. Unfortunately, that turned out to be false. When we contacted the company for follow-up service, we were informed that we would have to pay another $150 just for the mechanic to return.
Additionally, the labor charges were excessive. The mechanic charged a separate $150 labor fee for each part installed, even though some of the parts cost less than $40 each. In total, we paid over $600 in labor fees for work that took under two hours to complete.
While the convenience of having a mobile mechanic come to your location may sound appealing, it simply was not worth it in this case. Between the misleading pricing, poor communication, late arrival, excessive labor costs, and the fact that my vehicle was left in worse condition, this experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing.

Could be dangerous the mechanic does not check things properly and it happens
I would give it a 3 except I have had
pretty good mechanics on several occasions. But sometimes they just totally screw up though and miss major things like checking the car for cross country roadworthiness and completely missing a loose front in with bad cv joints and tie rods. 🙄 That is dangerous.
Then the thing that knocks it down a another star is an awful website design and total incompetency when you need to get in touch with them you really can't, they don't respond.
You are be better off just searching on yelp or kudzu for a good mechanic with allot less effort and simply getting them on the phone or returning text vs going thru the turmoil of using YM's website.
They don't obviously check the qualifications well enough for the mechanics they provide for you and that is dangerous.

Mobile Mechanic
This was my first time using a mobile mechanic. The first time he just came to run a diagnostic and I thought he was knowledgeable and it was ok. Had him come back and fix what needed to be fixed. Come to fine out, he used the wrong spark plugs and the gap I guess was wrong. So I spent way too much money for a guy to come out and screw that up.

Bait-and-switch decadent sales technique
This review is similar to another review I have just read:
It is a bait-and-switch type of technique. First, they gave me a good quote, and of course, I saw it was a good deal.
Next, they confirmed the appointment and sent me text reminders to my phone as the appt approaches. The day came, I waited the entire 2 hours when the tech was supposed to arrive. I had to call them since no one called or showed up. I called Wrench/YourMechanic (855) 347-2779, and they said they didn't show up because there was a new estimate approval I had to agree to before they could proceed with the repair that would then happen the next day. The quoted price of $340 would now jump to $570 due to an adjustment in the number of hours that the job would take. They said that requests for service over the Internet were inaccurate, and they had to manually adjust it. By this time, I had not received any notice of this change on text or email. Big waste of time. They are releasing the money held back to the card used. Not a good way to do business. Looks like they are banking on the short time the customer will have left to do the repairs after they effectively created the situation. It is a technique based on having the customer pressed by time where the customer either bails out and request a cancellation and refund, or acepts the newly jacked-up price. Again, very bad way to do business, which eventually will bite them back and force them to stop their operation.
This companies contractor are untrained for vehicles like Mercedes, I had very bad experience, four time my appointment has been booked with various reasons and two contractors are changed, first was Atalia and second was christofer. Very unprofessional approach. Asked to change the PCV vent valve and Christopher gave feedback that part was not correct, however part number is per the Mercedes part number, so guys if you called for specially Mercedes Benz vehicle, do not take service for this company. Atalia two times cancelled the appointment and wasted my four days.Since I was travelling from Ohio to NJ and incident happen in the NJ, I tried to take the service but I never recommend anybody for this company. Christofer only stayed for 10 minutes and I was charged for full one hour for 159 dollars for no reason.

I went on the Wrench website on Sunday…
I went on the Wrench website on Sunday 3/8/2026 afternoon, to schedule service the following day, which would’ve been Monday, 03/09/2026. The service was confirmed for Monday and the mechanic, Mickey, was scheduled to arrive at my residence anytime between 7:30 AM - 9:30 AM.
At 9:17 AM, after I hadn’t received any type of correspondence letting me know that the mechanic, Mickey, was on his way, etc., I called Wrench to check the status of my service/and the mechanics ETA. I was on hold for about 15 to 20 minutes.
Once a representative was on the line, I let them know that I was calling to get an update to see what time the scheduled mechanic, Mickey, would be arriving at my residence because I wanted my car fixed today.
By this time I had read all the terrible reviews, but after scheduling this service, so I was on high alert/ expecting a cancellations or the mechanic not to show up.
The representative tried to contact the mechanic, Mickey, to no avail but said he would keep trying and then give me a call back. The call-back never happened.
At 10:00 AM I called Wrench again to check the status on when the mechanic, Mickey, would be arriving to my residence. I was informed that the mechanic, Mickey, would be at my residence at approximately 10:35 AM.
At 10:27 AM, I received a text message informing me:
“ Heads up! Mickey, your Wrench Alternator Replacement expert is on the way for your appointment between 7:30AM and 9:30 AM. Get ready for hassle-free vehicle service!”
There was a phone number provided for the mechanic, Mickey, so I called the mechanic, to get a more accurate eta. The mechanic, Mickey, said he would be at my residence in approximately 20 minutes later, which would’ve put him at my residence around 11:00 AM. The mechanic, Mickey, said he was running late because he had to be home to sign for a package. He also claims he sent me a text message letting me know he would be running late. But, I never received a message.
At around 11:04 AM I received a call from a Wrench representative letting me know that the service I purchased would require additional work. The representative stated that the AC would have to be removed and recharged when replacing the alternator. I asked, “what exactly does that mean.” The representative said that my quote would increase because the labor would now be a total of 4 hours, instead of the quoted 3 hours.
At this point I was done fooling around with Wrench, and I didn’t want to risk losing my money with a company that had already exhibited so many “red flags.”
I opted to use Afterpay (pay in 4), for the service, so the initial payment had already been pulled from my bank, and if I wanted to cancel the service prior to 48 hours, I would have to pay $150. So I needed “Wrench” to either honor the service quote I agreed to, or to cancel the service on their end. I let the representative know that I would not be able to pay any additional money, and I didn’t want any type of fees or anything due to the cancellation because it had nothing to do with anything on my part. It was on them.
The service was canceled. My money was refunded and Afterpay is showing 0 owed. Soooo everything ended well for me.
I would not use this company ever again and I’m glad I was able to get out of this service agreement unscathed.
Oh, I never received a message, nor did the mechanic, Mickey, ever arrive.

Stay away from this company
Stay away from this company, ever since they merged with wrench they have been scamming customers, I locked in with them for $161 they waited till a couple hours before my appointment to tell me that they made a mistake and the new price has changed to $450 , as a legit company you would think they would honor the price they advertised online ? Instead they tell me I either pay or cancel my appointment. I requested to speak to a supervisor and he was rude. Now I have to wait 7-10 business days when they took my money within a second. Don’t fall for their fake advertisement this company is crooked.

Terrible
Terrible. Gave me a quote, then 3 days later sent a mechanic who had no idea what the job entailed, told me he didn't have the tools to do it, suggested I take it to a shop, then charged me $150 "callout fee" and left. Absolutely worthless. Don't hire these people.
A scam after purchase you setup an account you put vechicle information in and set up a virtual vechicle inspection. There after the virtual inspection your account is supposed to be activated 24-48 hours later once account is processed. Tottaly not the case it’s one person the same person answering the phone you will speak with no one else and you’ll be told that it actually states that all accounts will not be accessible until 60 days later
WHAT. I’m telling you it’s a scam I’ve filed a complaint with the better buisness bureau and will be filing a small claims civil suit do not make the same mistake as me

I scheduled them to come out twice and…
I scheduled them to come out twice and the problem was not diagnosed correctly or fixed. When I asked for them to help and get it corrected, I was told I would have to pay for all the services again. DON'T USE, TOTAL SCAM. YOUR VEHICLE WILL NOT GET REPAIRED ONLY SUGGESTIONS!!! STAY AWAY!!!!
Very disappointing experience. I scheduled a diagnostic appointment for my vehicle and the mechanic cancelled without proper communication. When I asked about getting an actual diagnostic test performed (cooling system pressure test / combustion gas test), I was told a ‘basic diagnostic’ was only a visual inspection and general advice.
Paying for a ‘diagnostic’ that’s essentially just looking at the car and guessing is not what most customers expect. The communication was unprofessional and the interaction felt dismissive/rude. I would not recommend if you’re looking for real diagnostics or services that are beyond basic knowledge like oil changes or brakes”

I would AVOID this company if I were you! They are a total total fraud and grift company.
On 12/3 'Wrench Inc' sent a highly unqualified mechanic (Cesar) to change an alternator on my 2008 Toyota Avalon. After disassembling some parts on the vehicle the mechanic abandoned the job. After a full day of dealing with 'Wrench' on the phone (several different people), 'Wrench' sent the same mechanic back out to complete the job on 12/4 . The mechanic reassembled most (not all) of the vehicle parts and again abandoned the job without changing the alternator which was the primary reason for the service. I had to contact a real mobile mechanic (Dan) to complete the alternator job and finish assembly of the parts that 'Wrench' left undone. Complete serice took Dan about 1.75 hours (kudos to Dan). 'Wrench' than charged my CC for $224.24 for services not provided which are now in dispute. Use 'Wrench Inc' mobile mechanic service at your own risk, IF I WERE YOU, I WOULDN'T!

Poor Workmanship and Refusal to Take Responsibility
I’ve been a long-time customer of Wrench.com and have spent thousands of dollars with them over the years, but this experience has completely changed my view of the company.
In April 2025, a Wrench.com mechanic named Kevin replaced my rear brakes. He was the last person to remove and reinstall my rear wheel. Recently, I ended up with a flat tire and discovered that one of the lug nuts had been cross-threaded, making the wheel impossible to remove. This is not normal wear and tear — it is the result of improper installation.
Despite this:
Wrench.com charged me $150 to send another mechanic out for a “warranty check”
They confirmed the issue
Then they refused to cover the cost of removing the damaged lug nut
And refused to refund the $150, even though the issue traces directly back to their prior service
Wrench.com was the last company to touch the wheel, yet they are refusing to take responsibility for the damage caused by their mechanic’s work. As a result, I’m left with a flat tire I can’t remove and out additional money for their mistake.
This situation shows a serious lack of accountability and customer care. Loyal customers shouldn’t have to fight to have obvious workmanship issues corrected.
I would strongly caution anyone considering Wrench.com to think twice, especially if something goes wrong — because based on my experience, they may not stand behind their work.
Precharged me $224 for an oil change. Mechanic showed up and asked if I had the supplies. What?! I was never told that I’d need to pay over 100% more for an oil change AND furnish the needed supplies/tools. Mechanic said he was going to call the company and ask if he could buy the supplies. He drove off and never returned my text. I was willing to go to the auto store to get the supplies just to get it done. It’s 1 mile from my home.
Tried to reach customer service by phone and email. Was never called back. Took 13 days for them to cancel my appointment and refund my money. Had to go through my bank to do it. Complete scam.
Scheduled service for today, they already pre-authorized my card, after waiting for an hour and 15 minutes I received a text that they need to reschedule for Monday. I tried to call but cannot reach anyone...
