We had a very well organized trip in Tibet despite the tragedy that happened in the Nepalese border. Ashley was all the time on the ball with follow ups and updates n trying all the time to give us meaningful options. Actually mist of the trip was restored but the company was there getting us in as soon as places were re opened. Ashley and our guide Pasham were totally with us making this a very special trip. Our dedicated travel designer and coordinator Rex laid the solid foundation of this truly exceptionally culture-rich and eye opening excursion to the very challenging Tibet region. Rex went over and beyond to help us reinstate the trip permit as soon as it became available (and just as he reinstalled the trip, the permit approval process was closed again). We were so lucky to not have missed the visit to the Mt Everest Base Camp. Rex was even able to secure three rooms at the Camp there were ALL with full bathroom facilities. Rex’ efforts extended to helping us cutting sizable amount of costs and getting the hard-to-get Xining-Lhasa soft sleeper train. By Rex’ extraordinary arrangement, we (group of 5 from PA, CA & FL, USA)were lucky to have the best Tibetan tour guide Lobsang and the most reliable driver Mr Liu! Lobsang was intelligent, with rich knowledge of Tibetan and Buddhism, culture, life, geography, and so on. He was patient, articulate, and very diligent guide. Mr Liu was one of the best professional drivers. He obeyed all traffic rules and regulations, slowed down when the road was bumpy, and stayed alert at all times. We were with Lobsang and Mr for 10 full and happy days. We strongly recommend Rex and his team!

A Memorable Journey to Bhutan (06 September 2026 to 12 September 2026)
Bhutan has long been one of the countries at the top of my travel wish list, and I was delighted to finally make the trip in 2026.
While planning the journey, I came across Asia Odyssey online. Their quotation suited my budget, and I decided to contact them. From the very beginning, Coy Ma was prompt in responding to my enquiries via email, providing detailed itineraries and cost estimates. He was extremely patient in answering our many questions and even assisted us in securing our air tickets early, starting from March 2026.
Bhutan is one of the most beautiful countries I have ever visited. The landscape is lush, green, and peaceful, offering a refreshing escape from the fast pace of daily life. The natural surroundings and tranquil atmosphere helped me feel relaxed, rejuvenated, and at peace.
Our local guide, Sonam Rinchen, was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Throughout the trip, he shared fascinating insights into the history, culture, and significance of the various temples and places we visited. During our hikes, he was always willing to help carry water bottles and snacks, ensuring that we were comfortable along the way.
Our driver, Sangay, was equally outstanding. He drove safely and confidently throughout the journey and was always attentive to our needs. Every morning, he thoughtfully prepared bottled water for us and was always ready with umbrellas whenever the weather turned rainy.

Our group of 9 just completed a 13-day trip to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, organized by Isaac of Asia Odyssey Travel. This was our second trip with him, and once again, his customer service was consistent from start to finish. He was proactive about eVISAs, accommodations, and regularly checked in to make sure we were comfortable throughout the trip.
Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan went smoothly, with excellent airport transfers, hotels, and tour guides. Uzbekistan, was the reason for my 4-star rating. While the accommodations were good, the transportation and tour guides need to be improved.
I believe a great tour guide needs more than just destination knowledge - they should have strong communication and people skills, flexible, and make the experience enjoyable for the group. Unfortunately, there were some coordination issues with the tour guides and drivers. At one point, half of the group almost missed their departure flight because the driver went to the wrong hotel. Thankfully, the airport was nearby.
I appreciate that Isaac was responsive and quick to resolve issues. I, for one, choose Asia Odyssey Travel because of its flexibility and excellent customer service, and despite the challenges encountered in Uzbekistan, our group will continue to book our Asian travels with them.
I hope my constructive feedback will help strengthen the coordination, communication, and guiding experience for future travelers.

Niko helped us organize a trip to Wulong, Enshi and Zhangjiajie. My wife and I had specific requests like less walking, countryside scenery, local cuisine and leisurely pace. Niko organized a wonderful trip for us. The guides were helpful, caring and flexible to our needs. The hotels and transport arrangements were good. Niko is an excellent tour coordinator, contacting us on a regular basis to make sure things are in order. I would definitely like Niko and AOT to organize my future trips to China.

Asia Odyssey, and Shirley in particular, made hotel, bus, train, tour guides, and other arrangements for my sister and I on our first trip to China. Although she wasn't with us herself, Shirley kept me informed about the name of the person who would pick us up and who would be our guide. She gave me instructions on where to exit the train station, for example, so we could find our driver or guide. In this huge country, where I don't speak the language, I never felt alone. Shirley was just a chat away before and during our trip. I hope to work with her again.
