Reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Travelers frequently praise the dedicated team for creating highly personalized itineraries, noting that advisors remain exceptionally patient, responsive, and professional when organizing complex multi-city holidays. Consumers also deeply appreciate the seamless logistics, comfortable transport, and the outstanding assistance provided by knowledgeable local guides and drivers at every single destination.
Some reviewers were not happy with minor communication barriers regarding English proficiency, encountering an occasional distracted guide or receiving less detailed historical explanations during excursions. These specific issues with communication and guide engagement were occasionally noted by participants as areas requiring improvement.
Suki from China Highlights arranged a trip for me to Yunan province in April 2026. All of the guides and the 2 drivers were amazing. I had a wonderful time. I got to see everything that I wanted to. I will most definitely be using this agency again for any future trips to China. Highly recommend.

Fantastic China Experience -- well planned and supported throughout
We used China Highlights to organise a three-week private tour from Hong Kong into mainland China, covering Shenzhen, Chongqing, Chengdu, the mountains around Jiuzhaigou, and the beaches of Sanya. The entire experience was exceptionally well managed and exceeded expectations.
The itinerary was thoughtfully planned and ran smoothly throughout. Our travel consultant, Liberman Li, coordinated a fairly complex, multi-city trip with several bespoke requests and was consistently responsive, professional, and detail-oriented. Special thanks to him.
The on-the-ground experience was equally impressive. In every city, guides introduced themselves via WeChat ahead of arrival, creating a seamless and reassuring experience. Each guide was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely proud to showcase their city. Thanks to Andy (Shenzhen), Jane (Chengdu), Peter (Jiuzhaigou), and our Hong Kong driver Mr. Liang.
We were particularly grateful for the exceptional support in Chongqing when my wife required emergency medical care. Our guide Rambo and driver Mr. Li went far beyond expectations, guiding us through the hospital system with efficiency and care. Valerie in Sanya was equally helpful with follow-up treatment--support that made a real difference at a critical moment.
This was a memorable and very well-run trip that gave us a great insight into China. We highly recommend China Highlights for anyone considering a private tour and would definitely use them again.

Leah has worked with us for about a year and half. The first departure date was September 2025 but had to be changed because of a bicycle accident which caused us to delay the trip. China Highlights had no issue with us changing the date to May 2026. Leah worked with me on many changes because as I read she answered my questions and honestly answered if was a good idea or not. Such as she said try listening to Chinese Opera before making a decision. Good piece of information. Leah was always prompt in answering our questions. We discussed with her adding a few days in Hong Kong and she was honest and said that we would be able to handle the trip on our own as we have traveled extensively around the world. The trip in May 2026 has again been cancelled/delayed because of the war in the Middle East. Our flight through Doha was cancelled. We still plan to use Leah for our trip in 2027. When the flight was cancelled, China Highlights provided the refund within 7 days. Very positive experience

I booked a family holiday to China and Hong Kong through CHANDLER for 17 days in March and April. We visited Shanghai, Beijing, Xi’an, Chongqing, Zhangjiajie, Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
CHANDLER put together a personal itinerary and covered the cities and sights we wanted to see and he also recommended others.
CHANDLER’s communication was always very prompt. Whatever annoying question I asked was never a problem and CHANDLER even looked into places he was unsure of even visiting a Family Ancestral Memorial Hall in Guangzhou.
We had an absolutely awesome time visiting China and Hong Kong and would fully recommend CHANDLER in putting together an itinerary for yourself.
We had no problems at all whilst on holiday. Everything ran very smoothly and was very organised. Nothing was ever a problem. He even checked in with us a couple of times during our holiday.
Thank you very much CHANDLER! We have some absolutely amazing memories!

We had a fabulous time in Bejing with our tour guide Tom. We had many conversations about the history, culture and philosophy of China and also discussed the technology especially the discussions about energy. Really changed the way we view the world. He also gave us a complimentary tour of Hugon neighborhood and taught us calligraphy. He was a great caring guide and our driver Peter was also great. Hope to come back again and do another Tour. He also takes great photos of us and set up payments and internet. Very helpful. Thankyou Tom and Peter

Our agent is Lucía, who, in addition to being very efficient, is very kind and professional. She answered all our questions, made excellent suggestions, and greatly facilitated the planning and communication. We are very grateful. We will definitely use their services again.

Our trip with China Highlights was very well organized. From the fist interactions with Suki, who was assigned to us, on what’s app, our requests were always satisfied with professionalism and flexibility. The guides and drivers were always great and always accompanied us making sure we had an amazing time. We highly recommend China Highlights to anyone interested to travel to China.
We started planning our epic one month tour of China 5 months ago. Private Trip planner Mia Jie helped develop our extensive itinerary. She was on the ball and left no room for doubt about her professionalism and extensive knowledge of the needs of Westerners. She dealt with our queries and doubts promptly and we were reassured every step of the way as we had chosen China Highlights based on online reviews. We are now half way through our one month private tour… guides and accommodation have been superb.
Karry Hsu from China Highlights has planned multiple trips for me and she has been superb. Responses are always prompt and clear and her recommendations on-point. There are numerous other companies and agents out there but I prefer to be in the good hands of Karry.
Stress free dream holiday for a pair of work fatigued friends
2 of us did the slightly > 1 week Yunnan tour to Kunming, Dali, Lijiang and Shangrila. This agency and Ms Carrie (our planner) made things so stress free and easy plus it was tailored to exactly what we wanted with last minute flexibility if needed.
- your planner is always contactable if any issues arise
- they plan your trip/accoms/vehicles to exactly what you want
- they got return train tickets of a certain class for us even though they initially sold out - amazing!
We really appreciated the clean well maintained cars and safe attentive driving of all our drivers.
Our guides- Selina, Jessica, Eleanor and Jackson were obviously well versed in their areas of knowledge. They became more like travel companions showcasing local culture and food and helping us bargain when needed :D
Looking forward to the next trip with them!

After much research, it was clear that China Highlights was the company to use for our trip planning to China. The reviews were not wrong. Our planner, Suki, made the process so easy! She asked good questions and made great recommendations as well as answered all or our questions quickly. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and have already talked about needing to come back to see more of China; which we will absolutely be using China Highlights to do so.
