Amazing Experience at Beijng thanks to China Hilights
My wife and I have just returned from an 18-day trip to China, one of the most beautiful vacations of our lives. Beyond the extraordinary beauty of the places we visited, a fundamental role was played by the organization of China Highlights, which supported us throughout the journey with professionalism, flexibility, and great courtesy. In every destination, we were able to rely on high-quality transportation services and truly exceptional guides.
The entire experience was expertly orchestrated by Giulia Zang, an impeccable professional of rare kindness, who designed our tour down to the smallest detail, making it truly unique. We also had the pleasure of meeting her in person during a dinner in Guilin—a moment that allowed us to appreciate even more her professionalism, availability, and genuine warmth. To her go our most sincere and heartfelt thanks.
In Beijing, we were fortunate to be accompanied by a truly caring and attentive guide: Xue.
From the very first day, she took care of every need with great sensitivity and attention, helping us not only with logistics but also in understanding local customs and behavior. This made our first approach to China smooth, enriching, and especially enjoyable.
She guided us through iconic landmarks such as Tiananmen Square and the Great Wall. During our visit to the Wall, an unexpected snowfall made the experience more challenging than planned. Xue immediately coordinated with Giulia and, with remarkable responsiveness and flexibility, they reorganized the itinerary so that we could return the following day—this time under clear skies—without having to give up any of the planned activities.
What impressed us most, however, was her genuine kindness. When our return Etihad flight was canceled, Xue even offered to host us in her home, or with members of her family, for as long as necessary. It was an incredibly generous and thoughtful gesture that we will never forget. Fortunately, thanks to Giulia’s prompt intervention, it was not needed—but it remains a true testament to her exceptional care and generosity.
This was our first time using a company to help us organise a trip and we were not sure it would suit us, but it couldn’t have worked better! From our first enquiry to our flight home it was spot on! Suki looked after all our wishes and requests seamlessly. Her communication was prompt and personal making sure we had the holiday we wanted.
She even checked in a few days after we arrived to make sure we were happy with everything. We really could not fault the way our holiday was organised with every detail covered, from being met at various airports and stations to finding and helping us order at restaurants , taking us to all the sights we wanted having purchased tickets in advance for us. All the guides were conscientious and ensured that we got the most out of our time in China. Can’t wait to go back!

Very professional service. Explained requirements to book. I had to change my passport number and this was done with no problem. One train was unbelievable but I was given other options by email. Highly recommend
Very rapid response. Paid careful attention to what we want, and worked with us through several iterations, satisfying some unusual requests. Our trip hasn't happened yet, but at this point I would give them my strongest recommendation.
Yvette was able to adjust our itinerary very quickly. She responds to our needs in an efficient manner. She was able to plan our extension in China thoroughly and comfortable for us.
Karry is very responsive and detail oriented. We can't wait to actually experience the tours currently planned for in June, 2026. Hopefully we will work with China Hightlights in the future for many future tours

An Unforgettable China Adventure with My Mum 🇨🇳
I’ve just returned from the most incredible trip to China with my mum, and it truly exceeded all expectations. We managed to see and experience so much in a relatively short time, covering huge distances seamlessly – it was brilliantly organised from start to finish by the brilliant Carrie at China highlights. All the stress was taken away by the detailed organisation.
We began in Beijing, where our fantastic guide Ethan showed us the awe-inspiring Great Wall of China and the magnificent Forbidden City. Both were absolute bucket-list moments, and Ethan’s knowledge really brought the history to life.
Next stop was Xi’an, guided by the brilliant Ken. The Terracotta Army was a true highlight – something you have to see to believe. What made our time there even more special was Ken kindly inviting us to his home for lunch with his wife. It was such a warm, authentic experience and something we’ll never forget.
In Chengdu, Yolanda guided us around the adorable Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, and we also visited the breathtaking Leshan Giant Buddha. Seeing the pandas up close was magical, and Leshan was simply stunning.
We then travelled to Chongqing, an enormous and fascinating city. Sadly we only had one day there, but Marianne was so kind and energetic that we packed in so much it genuinely felt longer. An amazing mix of old and new China.
In Guilin, we were guided by the wonderful Kevin through the spectacular limestone karst scenery – absolutely postcard-perfect landscapes that felt almost surreal.
Our final stop was Shanghai, where the passionate Sean showed us all the main sights and plenty of hidden extras. It was the perfect vibrant, modern contrast to the historic sites earlier in the trip.
Everything ran incredibly smoothly – guides were always waiting for us at train stations, hotels were centrally located and very comfortable, and the Chinese bullet trains were impressively punctual. We also loved experiencing the culture and the build-up to Chinese New Year, which made the atmosphere even more special.
All of our guides were experienced, knowledgeable, spoke excellent English, and even kindly bought us small gifts – such thoughtful touches.
This trip was varied, efficient, culturally rich and completely unforgettable. A truly amazing experience to share with my mum – memories we’ll treasure forever. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

So far excellent, but we are at the primary stage. We’ve booked and have all in place exactly as we designed. Karry has been amazing responding all questions thoroughly and guiding us through. But the main test would come when we land in Beijing and the seven days in that amazing city. I will write another review. So far excellent.
My contact with Christy is the single greatest part of my experience with China Highlights, and I would not hesitate to call on them again. A simple-to-use and fuss free agency. Quick to response to queries. Equally fast to make sure customer's needs are taken care of.
Used the agency for my families' year end holidays to China (Beijing - Da Tong - Xi'an) and asked for bilingual guides so that while trying to give the kids a setting for cultural immersion, the guide can still communicate in english when neccesary. Everything was pretty much fuss free (from determining itinerary, to accommodations and even to getting good and recommendations to fill up our spare days).
Whilst the service is not the cheapest, given the responsiveness, quality and absolute peace of the mind, its worth it.
Will use the agency again!
