Though some reviewers experienced hardware malfunctions, such as lights or remotes stopping working after a few months of regular use. A few other people also felt that certain items were completely ineffective or that customer care failed to address their specific problems properly.
I placed an order on the Jovs site for the LED mask once I realized that they were not FDA-approved as they advertised, I immediately canceled the order. JOVS did NOT cancel the order. They responded to an address correction but wouldn't stop the shipment of the order. It took nearly a month to get permission to return the item. No return label is provided by JOVS and the address is a random warehouse in South El Monte, CA. I am afraid to send the item back as it is almost $700 and no guarantee that they will refund me in full. This back-and-forth exchange of emails went on for over a month. Still no response from my last email on November 15, 2024.
I haven’t tried their products since I cancelled my order minutes after placing it because I read the recent bad reviews here. I don’t know whether the devices work wonders or not, but I wanted to leave a review saying that my cancellation process did work and I was refunded within a few days after emailing. I did email them a second time two days after their first answer to make sure they cancelled before it was shipped.
I was thinking of buying the IPL device for more than a year and then I got scared after reading some reviews here. Tbh I am not sure which ones are real or not. Maybe I should try myself to know.

The only email reply I got was ask me to contact local official store myself since I did not buy officially from your webpage. Still did not resolve my problem by telling me the same old thing.

Please do not buy anything from JOVS. Bought their IPL machine and it's faulty now and I can't even get hold of the local official store. Contacted the HQ and said they won't assist on this, it's pretty common sense to always buy from local official store instead from overseas since the plug and voltage will be different. So now they don't honour their warranty!

On June 14, I ordered the Jovs Venus Pro Hair Removal Device. Before it was shipped, I changed my mind and on June 17, I emailed official.jovs-beautyc.com to cancel my order. I received confirmation that the order had been blocked and would not be shipped. However, the next day I received a notification that my order had shipped. I contacted support and received an apology, stating that they failed to intercept my request. Without hesitation, I agreed to return the package after receiving it.
I checked the tracker several times, and it seemed the package was being returned. I reached out to Gael from Support, and every time, I was told it would take another 2-3 days to resolve. It took about a week to receive responses. The package had been redirected several times, and I informed them of this many times. Then, I received a message from Gael saying the package had been received. I sent him a screenshot from the tracking system, showing the package was received in another province by someone else. However, they continued asking me to check with my post room and neighbors. After another week, on July 18, they finally said they would investigate with the delivery service, which would take a month.
On August 25, I asked for an update and was told it would take 3-4 more days. I followed up on August 28, September 3, and September 6. On September 9, they offered to send a replacement, but I requested a refund. On September 12, I was told they would follow up on my refund. On September 18, they informed me that my refund would be processed that week.
I followed up again on September 24 and October 1, as no refund had been received. On October 3, they responded that they had not yet received compensation from the shipping provider and offered to send me a replacement again. I had already told them multiple times that I did not want a replacement.
Another frustrating issue is that they confirmed I would receive a refund within a week, after two weeks, there was another excuse.
I typically don’t write negative reviews, but this is by far the worst experience I've ever had with a purchase. After nearly four months, I still have not received my refund. I absolutely do not recommend this company.
UPDATE: I received my refund on October 10.

I bought the JOVS Venus Pro after doing a lot of research to fall prey to fake reviews. This product does not work! I used it for 6months and my hair growth on face has only gotten worse. Their return policy is so difficult requiring you to take photos after each application with dates etc. Stuck with a $300 garbage product.
I have a number of skincare devices and purchased the JOVS Blacken Pro. First, I concur with another reviewer that my skin actually looks worse than better. It created black marks on my face and the stripes that are on the device are now on each side of my cheeks. I didn't realize it until my husband asked me about the scars on my face. Needless to say, I haven't used it any more. I'm focused on eradicating these marks. Each person has different results. My recommendation is to start very conservative with this device.
Finally, an at home IPL that works!
Got a JOV Blacken Pro as a gift. A very nice gift.
As opposite to other at home IPL devices I tried, You really feel the Jov Blacken Pro works, when you use it and for few days after.
There's 3 modes: rejuvenation, redness and power, power being the strongest one. They all work differently and they all are for different purposes.
When you use it, you don't feel anything in the two first modes. And you feel a little snap with the power mode, but nothing to say it's painful. And I found that using an aseptic hyaluronic acid serum while using the device helps to lower the feeling of the snaps.
I don't give five stars because everytime I tried the chat function on their webiste, I ended up talking with an AI. And the answers are not all good. As exemple, I said that my dark spots were becoming darker using the device and the AI suggested me to consult with a dermatologist. In fact, I'm not gonna say how and why because it will be a never ending review, but it is normal that the dark spots become darker when you use a good IPL device. The color tend to fade within few days. I was told exfoliating helps the process. I didn't try it yet.
So, I just started using the Blacken Pro. I see the spots and the redness are more apparent, which is a good sign. And it is clear for few days that my skin is in an healing process, which should be another good sign. I'll continue to use the device and update my review in few weeks.
PS: I don't want to do any advertising, but I wish I knew this before spending tons of money on inneficient products: I found the OxygenCeuticals Ceutisome PP sheet masks to be the best masks you can use post-procedure. Holy Grail. I use it after IPL or microneedling and it helps the healing process and to dissipate any discomfort.
