Altogether, a very dodgy company. The moment you (foolishly) sign up to buy any of their products, e.g add-ons to their free word processing software, your credit card details become a license for them to suck you dry, with them remorselessly trying to extract totally phoney debits from your card. On the other hand, the WPS software is an OK alternative to Microsoft Word. So my advice is: use their free software if you like, but never, ever give them your credit card details.
I was using it for years, but now you have to purchase to save an image and it's deceptive in it's design. I'm 65 and use "Office" products so rarely. Not paying for it. Too bad.
While the software works as expected, nothing spectacular, their subscription practices and policies is very poor and borders on exploitation. Even after cancelling a subscription within 10 minutes after being charged, they refuse to refund. Once they have you they will milk you as long as they can. Make sure you cancel your subscription completely and in time to ensure not being charged.
Absolutely horrible, it used to work and not only ads have become absurd but also it started crashing mid editing files without warning me about saving.
Unfair refund policy and poor customer support
I had a terrible experience with WPS Office regarding an unwanted subscription renewal. Immediately after the money was deducted from my account, I submitted a request for a refund, stating clearly that I am not using the application.
Instead of helping, their support team refused to issue a refund, passing the responsibility to third-party services and ignoring the issue. They show zero care for their customers. I strongly advise against subscribing or linking your bank details to this service.
Ignores my Windows settings. Set to NOT launch on startup both in windows and in the software, yet any restart my computer has it happens to, on its own, launch its cloud functionality (which I don't use and have chosen in the software to not use). Has become very spam driven, multiple popups per use or when trying to close it. Has very clearly become focused on getting any and all users to buy into it, with little regard to how much it slows down the software use itself. I have stopped using overall across multiple computers and will not look back.

I dont know what they adjusted in setting, they override all my dialog windows by auto cancelling those windows on
1. whether to change .txt file to .py file
2. whether to save a file or not
etc conditions
by making the dialog windows disappear in 0.2 seconds of it popping up before I can even decide to save or adjust namings of files
Spent hours of me editting Registry, uninstalling things only to find this "peace-looking software" has been a culprit! God bless whoever wrote or adjusted the code

I tried WPS 3 days free Pro trial, and I couldn’t deactivate it due to an error message anytime I clicked on the “cancel auto-renew” button. I naively thought that the payment must have been halted, but then I got charged for a whole year of Pro and AI.
I immediately wrote to the WPS Support, telling them about the error message I got, asking them for a refund. They replied after almost a week and denied the refund, but told me that they were gonna “deactivate auto-renewal for me”. I actually received two email confirmation for this, and their site seem to confirm this, but now I’m very scared to be charged again.
BE CAREFUL: the program in itself isn't bad, but they seem to be using unethical charging methods, there’s a lack of transparency, their support service is slow, and they deny refunds even when they payment was due to a glitch in their site. Not recommended.
Using Free for the last 9 months, and all of a sudden it is requesting I pay 23 euros a month. I was mid-application for a job, and it will not let me save the application, and if I don't convert the PDF, it's looking for more money to upgrade to Pro.

WPS no longer free and amazing the amount of space it used up
Earlier in the year with no warning my FREE use of WPS changed to read only of my files demanding subscription.
On website says free use still available with limited facilities which appear to be read only. no saving of edited files.
Uninstalled and it was amazing the number of Kingsoft and WPS DATA files and storage space used and still existing even after uninstalling.
Suggest uninstalling with the option to delete data ticked. After doing this do a search for any remaining Kingsoft and WPS files to delete mainly stored in Appdata.
Then install LibreOffice or similar which is completely free, very good and feature rich. Some files e.g. .xlsx extension can be read but takes a long time to load so resave as .xls or .ods files. If you are using a lot of complex macrofunctions in .xlsx files yoi# may lose some of the macros but I don't appear to have lost any functionality.
Alternatively use web based Microsoft 365 Free Web Apps or Google Docs.
I will never use anything from Kingsoft / WPS again!

Very difficult to use – most of the time is spent setting up profiles and logins. I bought a 3-day pass, used it for 2 days, and was automatically charged for 3 months, even though I spent the whole evening messaging them to cancel my purchase. Do not buy this product!!!!!
It works, but it takes over your computer defaults. When you change them back, it takes them over again. This is unacceptable behavior, so I uninstalled it.
Advertises themselves as a FREE office suite, but once installed, demands money for anything you want to do with it. Also spams you with adverts. BEWARE.
Unethical business practices & fraud policy on refunds
The company double charges on packages with additional hefty International transaction fees without your knowledge. Besides, they deny to pay back any refund which they have double charged. One of the most horrible financial experiences of my life with software subscriptions. I was recently charged $169 for the WPS AI license which I did not purchase along with an international transaction of $6, while all I had only requested to purchase was the $64 WPS Pro. Upon raising the refund question, they have denied to pay back the refund, charged twice and have no human on the other side to communicate to.
How many times you gonna charge me scammers?! the lack of logic is concerning with this company.. seems really fraudulent and operates from Singapore with there poor designed website that looked like a middle schooler created it..
trying to get a .pdf off my phone what terrible experience, WPS cant just give you the .pdf you have to install the software ...which keeps trying to connect to the internet in the back ground all the time, who every wrote this software has malicious intentions, WPS is just on the border-line of legit and fake, don't install
BEWRE - Scam artists! Had a free subscription and ordered a 3 month plan. I got charged $139.99 (yearly plan) plus another $26.99..neither which were authorized. They would not refund me the money back and would not tell why I had two charges. They totally ignored me after telling me it was and auto renewal which it wasn't becuase I did not give them my credit card information at time of free download. All my credit card company did was give me points to cover the $139.99. Unbelievable that they are getting away with robbing people and the credit card companies are doing nothing about it!
A 3-month subscription of WPS Pro was paid in April 2026 (end 27 July). In mid-June I was debited $29.99 credit-card payment by WPS, without invoice, for unknown service. When challenged, WPS agreed to refund the payment without explanation for the debit, stating that my service would continue until 27 July. Subsequently I found the three-month service cancelled. WPS fudged its explanation and refused to restore the service.
