Paid for Leads, Got Limitations and Upselling Instead

What went wrong? Almost everything that should have been explained before I paid for the platform. I started with Apollo.io’s free plan and then upgraded to a monthly subscription. No one informed me that unused credits would not roll over. No one clearly explained the geographic or search limitations of my package. I had to contact customer service myself just to understand what I had purchased. I am a recruiter based in Alberta. My searches produced approximately 19 leads across Alberta and British Columbia and only about 120 across all of Western Canada. Even those searches were unreliable, and not one of the results developed into a successful lead. I was also unable to properly search the U.S. market because of restrictions attached to my package—restrictions that should have been clearly disclosed before I upgraded. In the end, I created a more effective lead-generation process using ChatGPT. That produced better research, stronger targeting and more useful prospects than the dedicated lead-generation platform I was paying for. Where was the onboarding? Where was the explanation of what each package could realistically provide? Why did no one ask about my target markets or business needs before recommending a paid plan? Why were important limitations only explained after I contacted customer service? The response from Apollo.io’s AI and support team was repeatedly that I needed to upgrade again. That is not meaningful customer support. It feels like every problem with the platform is answered with another request for more money. How can Apollo.io improve? Be transparent before customers subscribe. Clearly explain credit-expiration policies, geographic restrictions, search limitations and realistic lead availability. Provide proper onboarding, assign someone to understand the customer’s goals and improve the reliability of the search results. Most importantly, offer actual solutions instead of treating every customer-service question as another upselling opportunity. Apollo.io may work for businesses purchasing its more expensive packages, but my experience was defined by unreliable searches, no successful leads, unclear subscription terms, poor communication and constant pressure to upgrade.

Great software

Great software, lead scraping, email sequencing... Not happy about the billing. When I want to purchase more credits, or add an additional product its very misleading the way they price it. Dont get caught up in this entanglement. Customer support is also expertly trained to handle any billing inquiry in the benefit of Apollo. They dont put there customer first.

It's an overpriced POS

Just bought it for prospecting. It's slow. It's clunky. It's data is inaccurate. The only thing that works seamlessly is the annoying advertisements to upgrade. They reek of desperation. Tech support is bad. Errors throw with no explanation. Customer support is impossible to reach. I have no idea why this platform was highly recommended. I'm not experiencing it.

Was trying to earn some extra cash

Was trying to earn some extra cash. Had an ultra level account, earned $150 one day and tried to cash out went to pending. In the next three days cashed out $100 and $100 again. Both went to pending. Now with $350 pending Thought, I'd wait to cash out and earned just over $450 on the dashboard in the meantime. After 7days of waiting the 1-3 day processing period and doing 100 tasks each day, the entire platform disappeared. Total Scam! Burned up 20 minutes aday, with no options but to write a review here.

HTTP Request ID: -7262249711122141102 Please I am the person handling this Platform and we in India use Internet from a provider and this place is a office and we are four to five people working with different work at the same time, Note Apollo is used only by me, and trying to get a feel of this product before subscription. But todays's day is just wasted Regards Madhuri
