What people say

Overly complex app and support non responsive

This was a message i sent to their supprt - and have not received a response Dear Apollo support, My name is Simon Gifford, and I have an account at Apollo I have been testing Apollo to see whether or not it suits my needs. I have tried other systems, and Apollo looked like it would be the best, but I have met with enormous frustrations. I'm finding it very non-intuitive, and certain settings are turned off automatically, which I feel should be turned on, or at least I should be alerted to it. I have spoken to the chatbot and requested a two-week extension to my free professional plan. The chatbot said that would be put forward to the sales team or someone, but I've heard nothing about that. Now I'm still on the free plan, which leaves me with massive limitations, and I can no longer speak to the chatbot. Examples of my problems are: I set up a sequence with 13 trial prospects to go through it. The sequence had four steps to it. The very first email went out, but I found that the emails were not being tracked. I was unable to go into the settings and change the tracking for the next level or the next part of the sequence. The second part of the sequence suddenly was not automated, although I had automated it in the beginning. Therefore, I had to send out most of those emails manually, or at least click on manual send to make them go out. They have now gone out, and I found those emails are not tracked either. I am on the point of giving up on Apollo, but I thought I would write this in case Apollo decides to support me. Regards, Simon

Worst customer service I've ever had…

Worst customer service I've ever had from a CRM platform. Misled on my org package to which It was then supposedly corrected, after realising it wasn't and a very long wait, I was being met by a brick wall of customer service, that where doing everything to pass the bucket of accountability and give me what I paid for as opposed to dancing around with who needs to handle the matter. Terrible CRM tool, will certainly be canceling my plan.

Bad leads, much worse interface, constant upsells

Their interface is clunky and the data is terrible. But worst of all is their constant threats that you're running low on credits, even when you're not. I tried to enrich data 4 times over 2 cities, both with more than DOUBLE the amount of credits required, but it kept failing - burning 25 records and multiple credits - then attempting to upcharge me over and over. Then while tech support is responsive, they're beyond frustrating while asking you for the same thing you just sent them over and over again. For example I sent them EXACTLY what was wrong along with screenshots, but they asked me for exactly what I had just sent them. Then almost every single time you send a reply, there's yet another DIFFERENT agent who has no clue about your issue, so you have to start over. I have been going through this cycle of hell for weeks now and my campaign which is in specific markets is running behind because of this. RUN!

Putting Businesses at Risk of Breaking the Law

Apollo.io distributed my TPS-registered personal mobile number to sales organisations for cold calling. The result has been a stream of unsolicited sales calls from businesses that should never have had my details in the first place. If your platform is supplying TPS-registered personal numbers for prospecting, something is fundamentally wrong. I would not trust Apollo with personal data, and I would urge any business using their database to review its legal and compliance exposure immediately. One star is generous.

I’m extremely disappointed with my…

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience so far. Credits are disappearing without any clear explanation — I opened the same AI assistant chat multiple times without sending a single message or email, and each time over 300 credits were deducted. Within minutes all my credits were gone, despite not actually using the service in any meaningful way. The platform then immediately pushed me to upgrade, which honestly feels misleading. Between the hidden credit usage, lack of transparency, and confusing interface, it feels impossible to understand what actions are consuming credits and why. I signed up expecting a straightforward service, but instead it feels like I’m being charged for simply opening or navigating chats. I’ll be cancelling my subscription and moving to another platform because right now this genuinely feels like a scam.

Zero customer service

After purchasing, I tried to follow the steps to links provided in 'welcome emails' only to find my devices cannot open the web site. Due to needing my devices for my job, my employer's IT department controls my security access, and it does not allow access to this program. I am not the Administrator, so I can't follow the steps suggested to 'relax' the security features on my devices. I contacted customer service by email requesting a refund and was sent a link to download a refund request form. Only problem is - it's on a web site I cannot access. This has been a back-and-forth conversation with the same cut-and-paste replies from them. Obviously, this is a product I will never be able to use, so it was a complete waste of money for me.
