A great app to look for and find help but a few caveats
This app is a great way for people to connect who need help and those looking for work. There are different categories that you can choose from and the app allows you to note what days and hours that you are available. I've had very positive results from being hired by people who contacted me looking for help. The two biggest drawbacks that I've seen is people looking for help often put in unrealistic hours like midnight to 11:59 p.m. every day of the week. It would be helpful if they specified in the description a closer range of hours or to let people know that it changes from week to week. Also, folks with dogs should note the size and the breed of their dog. The only negative childcare experience I had was with a family who had a very overprotective dog and once the adult left, the dog was very aggressive toward me. Also, there doesn't seem to be a way to pause your availability or the app once your schedule fills up, which has happened to me.

Very misleading advertisement!! It can get confusing between their two apps and I believe they intend it to be this way!!I signed up several days ago and paid a fee and every time I try and look for a caregiver it lets me look and when I try and contact them it goes to choose a plan when I have already paid!! And don't think you will get a live person to help you it is all automated! The phone number they give for customer service when you try and call it, it says this phone number is not monitored!!! This company in my opinion is very misleading and not trust worthy!! If I can't get it resolved by the end of the week I am calling the FTC Federal Trade Commission!! You would think with the law suits they have had and the money they had to pay back to consumers they would have learned their lesson!!!

Care.com has become a total scam. I’ve had an account with them for years and all of a sudden they cut off access to my account and messages. I can see I received a msg from a family but the site won’t let me read it, which has cost me potential jobs. Out of nowhere, they are saying my birthday and name don’t match my license so they won’t verify my identity. I haven’t done anything to change that info on my account. The only discrepancy is that my license includes my middle name. When I’ve reached out to customer support, it’s taken at least a wk to get a response each time, so this has now been going on for over 2.5 wks during a critical time of needing to find work. The only option they gave me was to close my account and create a new one, which would erase my reviews from families and make care.com charge me again. The company has gone down hill in the last several years and had multiple lawsuits against them (which I can see why). I’ll now use another platform to find families to work with in the future.

I started my first job through care .com with an amazing family, it lasted for more than 4 years.
I trust care.com.,Their posts and the families on their site.
Their customer service are amazing, they listen and they make sure that you’ve been helped, and they work fast on solving any problem if there is any!!

Very happy with the quality and quantity of applicants we found through Care.com. We hired several to fill different shifts. Only criticism is that the app is hard to navigate and doesn’t have enough options to track our progress with hiring.

Terrible business practices. False advertising. Easy to accidentally sign up for a year with the cost hidden. "Cancel Anytime" statement is false. Dispute is impossible. Canceled within minutes of signup due to their misleading advertisement, got stuck with $155 bill for ZERO services rendered. Check out all the lawsuits related to their poor business practices. Just a low integrity company.

I have used Care.com multiple times. Each of the people I have hired were diligent in their work and honest. There have been times when the availability is limited. Overall this is a good company to work with

Absolutely horrible. The “professionals” listed hourly rates are never what they have listed on the site. They will speak to you and push for as high of a rate as possible when they see you’re a mom desperate for help. Truly disgraceful. I haven’t found anyone through them. Also the hours they list don’t reflect reality. Actually I ended up finding someone through a local Facebook group.

I used this service many years ago for another purpose and found what I needed. This time I needed an occasional care giver while I was out of the country . I was very surprised at how many good candidates applied. It was hard to choose but we are happy this website helped us find some one with good experience and lives close by.

Very disappointed and feel if not intentionally misled, perhaps out right lied to.
I have received a few "leads" that are obviously "ghost" leads and nothing tangible. Phone numbers left are not real. Do not use this service. It is not really what they say it is, and now I am locked in to paying subscription for a year.

I dont know how anyone could rate this business above obe star when they require you to provide your home address AND submit a detailed "job description" BEFORE disclosing that a paid membership is required to even engage with a Pet Boarder who "applies" to your job description. Very deceptive practice. I do not recommend this business.
