I use to use them to find nannies to my daughters while traveling in the USA. It was very good two years ago when I use it for the first time. Now it has become very bad, no controls on the caregivers in the platform and no guarantees on the appointments or commitments.

It was easy to set up a job for what I wanted (housekeeper) and it was easy to cancel my 1 month “membership” once I found someone. I understand having to pay for the service of finding someone who has already had references checked and a background check done. I interviewed 3 people - all of whom were very professional and qualified.

I am very worried I am being harassed by a Childcarer on the site. After I told her we had now found someone she turned very nasty.. I think she has mental issues, have tried emailing car,com and they put up I’m not a robot crap and I can’t get messages sent across. This carer has been sending nasty messages for days now, unacceptable not even a phone number for customer service

I used care.com to find senior care for my dad who has dementia. It was easy to post an ad with my needs and it was also easy to review applicants and communicate with the ones I liked to then set up interviews . It’s a great app and I used to use it for babysitters when my child was little and now it’s helped me find a caregiver for my dad. Thanks care.com - it be come full circle now. Maybe in the future I’ll use it for myself some day 🤣😊

I have had a awesome experience with Care.com. I have be a member for a long, long time and have gotten many, many jobs through Care.com. Im a caregiver in a remote area and I put in the filters where I would like to work and they have always come up with a job in my area. It is my Go To when im looking for work. The Care attending was great absolutely, understanding of my limitations and responsive to them. She was prompt on time and very patient. Her knowledge about how to get me thru the TSA, baggage etc was very helpful.
The system was a little confusing to me at first as a new user. However I did eventually figure out how to navigate the various features. The second time posting a request for a housekeeper finally produced an interested party. (We received 3 “not available” responses to our post in January this year.) We had to use this service as none of the local cleaning agencies near the location we needed it would respond back. I’d prefer a month to month payment plan while we were seeking a housekeeper, but only a 3 month payment option was offered this second time. The housekeeper is friendly and does the requested work reliably (this review after her first visit). So far we are satisfied.

The idea of someone who needs care having to pay a monthly subscription just to even TALK to providers is absolutely ridiculous. The people using this service most likely have a limited income if any income at all. Honestly super disappointed.
Edit to add. Trust Pilot has prompted me to share my personal information with this brand so that my review is considered “genuine” and I just need someone to understand that that is not a good business model.
Why would I want to share my personal information with a company I don’t like and feel is predatory, for my review to be considered real?

Care.com is a comprehensive source for help at home. I have been blessed to find house cleaning help and help for my husband's healthcare needs at home over the past 4-5 years. I have been very fortunate to find good people who do quality work through this portal. Communication is easy and private with the people posting their qualifications. The price is very reasonable, especially with background checks included.

I would give this company 0 stars if I could. Ive worked as a full time nanny for a decade now, and I have a strong account with many 5 star ratings. I have no problem with the families on care.com, I love them, however the app itself is a frustrating, near useless money grab with no sort of customer support. Ive been fighting with them over a slurry of app issues including but not limited to billing issues, inability to access active chats (through glitches), inability to update personal information for background checks, and others. Every time Ive been met with a wall. I was told that my chats were working fine, and that it was a saftey issue to have the ability to update my licence for backround checks (I moved states). They ran the background check on a licence that is no longer active and didnt even mark that down in the file the family purchased. They have an unfortunate monopoly on the market for families in my price range. The worst part of my day is attempting to use their atrocious app or communicate with their underpaid and undertrained customer service staff, some of whom are trying their best but all of whom are set up for failure and unable to assist with the most basic of issues as part of a systematic merry go round. I have never in my life had as much fustration with a company as I do this one, and months later absolutely nothing of value has been resolved.
