I was very happy with the service…
I was very happy with the service provided by CIBT. They were able to help me get my visa in a short amount of time. They were good at communicating what was needed on my side and what to expect. Without their help and guidance, I don't think I would have been able to complete the process in time for my intended travel. I would especially like to highlight the service of Sounia, who was very attentive and patient and kept the process moving along while answering all my questions.

I am prefacing this review by saying I have used CIBT many times in the past and have always been so happy with the service and timing. So many uploads, so many times. So many errors. My travel companion finally recieved one of two visas only to have the incorrect encryption number. My name was spelled incorrectly. JPGs were fine until they weren't. For the identical itenerary, one person was asked for one document and the other person was not. WHAT? Almost every complaint/ issue here is about their platform and every response is oh thanks for letting us know. Make it better, CIBT. Make it user friendly. Travel IN Africa is never easy, but this experience should be.

Everything was completed exactly like they said it would be. There were a few questions I had that they answered quickly, while I was going through the application process. This was my first time applying for a Visa and if I need to get another one I will definitely use them again.

Save Your Money and Go Direct
Holland America Lines gave me CIBT's phone number to get information on visas for our Amazon River trip. I called and spoke to an unfriendly gentleman named Jack. I think a robot would have been more pleasant. He directed me to their website and then I asked the price. Their "convenience/processing fee" was more than the visa for Brazil!! Seriously? When I expressed dismay, he said we were lucky we had the HAL discount, because their normal fee is almost 3 times that. What a scam! I just googled visas for Brazil and was taken to a very simple, clear website with a 3-step process to apply directly with the Brazilian Government. I'm not writing a bad review because of what they charge...every company deserves to make a buck, and I'm sure plenty of people do pay it for the convenience. But the call was so unpleasant, and Jack was so condescending and unfriendly. (and zero sense of humor) That's what warrants the bad review. If you're charging top dollar, I at least expect good customer service. I was cheerful and happy when I got on the call, and annoyed and upset when I hung up. :(
