We purchased all new equipment when we retired and couldn’t do gas powered anymore due to our health. Unfortunately we decided to buy ego weedwacker, leaf blowers, and snow thrower. Our main issues are the batteries don’t last and are extremely expensive. We called customer service the first time and frankly they stink at it!! A company that doesn’t stand by their products shouldn’t be in business!!! Don’t buy Ego and save yourself tons of money and headaches!!!!

I own three ego products and have found…
I own three ego products and have found all of them to be great. I recently decided to purchase a cultivator. Checking prices, they wanted $239 just for the head and I'd have to purchase an additional power unit for who knows how much. This company is good but they are pricing themselves out of the customer means. I'll be forced to purchase another brand for less than a $100. I believe they've just become too greedy. Unfortunately, they've lost me as a customer. Also, they're now using overseas support staff who don't understand the problems.

Battery life is terrible
Battery life is terrible, and the price of replacement batteries outrageous. Brand new and fully charged, they don't come close to the Ah operation listed on the battery. 3 tools with interchangeable batteries, batteries spend more time on the chargers than they do in the tools. And forget about the 3 year warranty on the batteries, they'll find some excuse not to replace them. DO NOT BUY!
