AI generated
Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. People frequently encounter frustrating issues with battery life and sudden failures, leaving expensive outdoor equipment completely unusable after a short time. Consumers often describe customer support as unhelpful and rude, mentioning major difficulties in reaching effective resolutions or getting legitimate warranty claims honored.
Some reviewers were happy with the powerful performance, quiet operation, and clean design of their tools when they functioned properly. A few customers also reported smooth warranty replacements or found specific equipment ideal for tackling regular yard work tasks. However, reviewers frequently noted that parts wear out quickly and repair centers take excessive time to process equipment.

Review after 3 years - EGO Power Mower
I've now owned my EGO Power Mower (LM2130SP) for three years. I've got mixed feelings, but in the end, I don't think it's likely that I would buy it again based on my experience. I live in Tampa, FL, so lush St. Augustine is what the mower needs to cut. What I didn't like...mower doesn't cut particularly evenly. Part of this may be due to the lighter weight of the mower, part of it is due to variability of the mower deck height when in use (frustratingly, the mower deck drops lower when you are not using the power drive feature) and part could be due to the deeper grass we have here in Florida (although my old gas mower handled it well enough). The EGO can be a pain when trying to disengage the power mower feature, which is something that needs to be done constantly when mowing a yard with contours, fencing and trees. In short, it often gets stuck in gear and the mower wheels cannot be backed up or moved forward as freely as it should. Finally, my battery started to fail about 2/12 years into use. First signs were when it would not last through my entire yard mow like it used to. Then it wasn't keeping a full charge between weekly mows like it used to (I always fully charge after every mow and unplug). Finally, it started losing it's charge very rapidly during mowing - it would go from 3 green bars to flashing red and dead within moments. Interestingly, it would charge to 100% very quickly (but obviously would not actually hold a proper 100% charge). When I finally called EGO about the problem, I was just weeks out of the 3 year battery warranty. They told me sorry, nothing they can do since it's technically out of warranty. Believe me, I spoke with multiple individuals to see if they would act in good faith given the circumstances. Nope, nothing they were willing to do. In short, I feel like EGO just told me that you should only expect their products to last as long as the warranty period, and no longer. I think I'll just try out another mower from another company rather than spend $400 on a new 7.5Ah battery. As a side note, I also own an EGO String Trimmer with auto load. Not overwhelmed with that, either!

The battery died less than one year. Is doing the Ring of death that's all over the internet. And worst customer service experience. I won't purchase another battery I'm already switching to another brand now I have to get rid of a leaf blower and string trimmer. Thank the Lord I didn't buy the mower

Customer Service is a JOKE
I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the completely unacceptable customer service regarding my six-week-old EGO trimmer.
After the unit prematurely failed, Lowe’s was unable to assist, forcing me to handle the issue directly with EGO support. Your technician successfully troubleshot the device, confirmed it was malfunctioning, and explicitly promised that a replacement unit would arrive within 5–7 days.
Today marks day seven. Upon following up, I was informed that the replacement has not even shipped, staff have no record of where it will ship from, and no one can provide an estimated date of arrival. This complete lack of operational transparency and failure to meet basic warranty commitments is absurd.
Because of your failure to fulfill a promised delivery schedule, my yard is severely overgrown and I am now facing impending fines from my Homeowners Association.
Your service infrastructure is an absolute disgrace. I will be advising potential buyers to avoid EGO products entirely and take their business to manufacturers who actually honor their warranties and value their customers.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Phenomenal Power and Ergonomics — Silent Petrol-Level Performance!
I recently upgraded to the EGO Power+ 56V HT2601E 66cm Hedge Trimmer Kit, paired with the Pro-X Backpack Harness, and it has completely transformed how I handle heavy garden maintenance.
My main challenge was a tall, dense "nemesis" hedge along with thick, overgrown Buddleja (Butterfly bush) branches that required clearance. My old 18V cordless trimmer constantly bogged down on woody growth, but the EGO 56V system is an absolute night-and-day difference.
Key Takeaways After First Use:
Power & Torque: Don't let the smooth, quiet brushless motor fool you—it carries serious cutting torque. It slices straight through 30mm+ fibrous branches without stuttering or stalling.
Ergonomics & Weight Relief: Using the Pro-X backpack harness is a game-changer. Shifting the battery weight off the arms drops the handheld weight to just over 3kg. Combined with the 180° (5-position) rotating rear handle, reaching high up on tall hedges and executing vertical side sweeps is effortless and puts zero strain on the wrists.
Cut Quality: The double-sided laser-cut blades cut cleanly rather than tearing foliage, vastly improving the speed of each sweep across the hedge faces.
If you are on the fence about stepping up from standard 18V gear or looking for petrol-matching power without the noise, heat, and fumes, this 56V setup is worth every single penny. Exceptional engineering!

Thee WORST most immature unprofessional…
Thee WORST most immature unprofessional customer service reps in the business. They cannot take feedback and they flat out tell you that they don't care whether you remain a paying customer. They are argumentative and untrained to handle customer service calls. They could care less about the customer or the business. I'm out. I'm done buying their products. It's no wonder that they have an overall rating of 1 star.

Gonna have to go with one star!
Gonna have to go with one star here guys. Dropped my equipment off and everything went smooth. This was July 16th, here we are August 4th and I have heard a word from these guys. Not one word, I even called 2 times. First time I called the guy didn't even know what equipment I dropped off, he said I have a steele series or something along those lines. That would be incorrect, then after telling him what i dropped off he transfered me to another place because they don't actually do the repairs here. Of course no answer I leave a message no call back. Second time I called I got the oh we are behind almost 3 weeks bit. Sounds like you guys suck at your job(my opinion)from what I'm going through. Still to this day not a word from Wright or the folks who actually do the repairs. This will also go on EGOs review page as well for working with these guys. It has officially been 19 days since I dropped off my Ego Trimmer, not anything crazy big just a Trimmer and I haven't heard anything. Come on folks get it together

Terrible customer service. What a shame. This company used to provide excellent service and now if a question you get a call in center that wants to read from a brochure

The 56 volt battery charger stopped…
The 56 volt battery charger stopped working after 2 uses. I called ego and was able to get a replacement after a long phone conversation. The replacement came and I found it in a used condition and it did not work. I am now trying to get thst one replaced but so far they have not been cooperating. It is pretty ridiculous dealing with this company. Who sends a broken used charger that had crud on the bottom of it. Do your self a favor do not buy any of their products. They do not stand by them.

Great Product!
Been slowly switching to electric outdoor implements. Purchased a two stage electric snow blower last year and a weed trimmer this year. They've both been great products. Previous snow blower despite storing it properly was always difficult to start despite having it serviced. Long battery life and no more mixing fuel or, carrying fuel in a car or truck. The weed trimmer has more torgue than my Stihl weed Wacker and line replacement is simple and you never have to use a bump feed as it automatically does it for you. Electric batteries have come a long way. All of the major implement manufactures are going this way.

Doesn't cut for crap
Doesn't cut for crap. They say use double blade . Mine a model won't take double blade. I did it anyway. Cut better but every 10min shut down cause battery over heat. This is a piece of junk. I would not recommend this to anyone.
I only used EGO 18" Misting Fan a few times before it stopped working. The pump no longer draws in water, making it completely unusable.
A product failure is frustrating, but what made the experience even worse was the customer service. Unfortunately, I no longer have the receipt, so they refused to help or honor any warranty without it.
I've invested heavily in the EGO ecosystem and own multiple EGO products, including a lawn mower, leaf blower, trimmer, edger, and snow blower. I also have an EGO account with verified purchases, but none of that seemed to matter. They were unwilling to work with me or offer any reasonable solution.
Because of this experience, I won't be buying any more EGO products. When it's time to replace or add equipment, I'll be switching to Ryobi instead.
Save your money. Once they have it, don't expect them to stand behind their products or reward customer loyalty.
I purchased a lawnmower and batteries 3 years ago. I like the mower, but one of the batteries failed just before the warranty expired and I cannot get hold of EGO, despite emails, using their contact form and even Messenger. The battery pack is extremely expensive and I would not have expected it fail this quickly.

Service is lengthy and far away; Ego products good
I have several EGO products and when they work they are great. I have 2 edgo trimmers, 1 ego edger , and 1 ego bushwhacker and a separale battery backpack.
Th e string trimmer heads are terrible. even the autofeed doesn't work right. I had 1 Ego trimmer replace under warranty. The second 1 is in the shop right now.
I live in Houston area ( zip 77396 Humble) and there are no Ego service dealers withing 40 miles. Well Ego says they have service dealers in Houston area; but that is not true. I went to almost all of them and they are backed- up up 6 months or they no longer service.
The closest to Houston is Stafford, TX. This is really unacceptable, but there is nothing you can do about it.

I just bought a ego hedge trimmer and…
I just bought a ego hedge trimmer and the battery was leaking acid and called ego to get a replacement battery shipped and they have put me through the worst experience of customer service I have ever been through in my life of 55 years. mind you, this tool is days old and never been used. and there asking for everything under the sun and still haven't shipped a replace. so I will be returning this product for a full refund to amazon. not to mention it Chinese owned out of china. so buyer beware!! because with this practices they won't be around long. and if you buy a full line of this product you will be stuck with tools you can't get batteries for because there out of business.

56 volt 4 amp replacement battery
I talked to Javier at the call center about a replacement for a 56 volt 4 amp battery. Last September 2025 I received a replacement battery for my leaf blower. Well the replacement battery (today 7-23-26) just went dead. So, when I called to see if they would replace the replacement their answer was NO. Well here is the kicker, the replacement battery does not get a new expiration date it reverts back to the original battery purchase date. I still had 2 months from when they sent me the replacement I thought. Of course they kept referring back to the warranty which does not state that replacement parts get a new expiration but refers back to the original purchase date....

Ego customer service sucks
Ego customer service sucks.
Although the line trimmer I bought 6 months ago works great, when my battery charger died I was disappointed in the unhelpful Customer Service!!!
They warranty their products (in this case, a battery charger that came with the great line trimmer) for 3 years, they have your record of purchase from the warranty card, but WILL NOT HONOR REPLACEMENT OR REFUND without the original proof of purchase! How many people keep their original receipt for 3 years? Lowe's could not locate a copy for me despite trying hard.
Better Customer Service with Milwaukee Tools! Milwaukee customer service exceeded all expectations.

I have a full line up of Ego products
I have a full line up of Ego products. Snowblower, snow shovel, hedge trimmer, leaf blower, hedge trimmer, weed trimmer. I have never really had much trouble. Yes the batteries give slower performance over time and the batteries are very expensive to replace. Here is my latest experience with ego. My aging lawnmower stopped working. I took it to an authorized ego repair centre in Kingston, Ontario. They ordered a part to repair it for approx $220. Part didn't come in. 5 weeks later I picked the lawnmower to recycle it. Complained to area district manager. He told me I will make it right for you and replace the lawnmower if need be. Contacted him a week later and he told me I misunderstood and he needed time to look into it. A week after that, I sent him an email telling him parts still not in at authorized dealer. He emailed me back and said he put a rush on the part and The repair place has the parts they ordered. I called the repair centre and they told me they didn't know what he was talking about. We have not received the parts. I emailed the district manager for Eastern Ontario back and told him what I was told. Crickets! Nothing back from him. This morning I went to the repair centre and picked up the "scrap" lawnmower. I called EGO to tell them my experience but they didn't care. Told me it was out of warranty. I explained I never asked for it to be fixed under warranty. I just wanted the parts to go to the authorized repair place. EGO then told me to contact the authorized repair centre. And the circle started again. I then received the typical response from customer service. Is there anything else I can help you with sir? What? You didn't help me with this?????!!!!!!
Terrible customer service, just terrible.

Not for the elderly
I began using my ego electric mower LM2130SP in June of this year. I must warn you that this is not for the elderly. I am an 80-year-old woman with some limited mobility. The battery for this unit weighs a little over 6 pounds. I have a very difficult time bending over to remove the battery. In fact, I fell the last time I tried to remove it and landed on my tail bone. Fortunately, I didn’t break it. The other issue is they want you to clean the bottom of the deck after each mowing which entails putting the mower in an upright position and scrubbing the bottom (you can’t use a hose) and then lowering it back to the ground. Not an easy task. I love the idea of no gas, oil, or spark plug to mess with, but feel it is just too heavy to work for me.
