People also appreciate the detailed sleep tracking data and the smooth setup process that makes using the mattress cover very straightforward and comfortable. Some reviewers were not happy with the customer service and extended response times when technical problems arose. What people say

pod broke after 3 years

pod broke after 3 years - their team admitted to me that it is a faulty sensor issue in the engineering but won't offer a replacement due to being out of warranty. just know if you buy, there's a good chance that you'll not get more than a couple years out of it. the app is also one of the worst user interfaces I've ever experienced. also they clearly buy their reviews on their website and app store - don't be fooled by it. 30 thousand website reviews????? ya right, ok... 2 starts only because the product category itself is awesome - having a cool mattress topper has been game changing. Go with a competitive product at a fraction of the price and you'll be just as pleased, mark my words.

This is a terrible company

This is a terrible company, if you live in the wrong area your delivery will be pushed back many times as your waiting for people in your area of the world to order them so then it will be worth doing a batch, we have been waiting two months with still no guarantee as to when we will get it! This is not the way to treat customers who spend a lot of money on a product, they need to do better.

Most expensive paperweight ever

Most expensive paperweight ever ! Never even got past setup. The pod needs to constantly “update firmware “ which it says takes up to 5 minutes but I spent at least 3 hours trying to get this done. Their IT support doesn’t exist, as apparent this step cannot be skipped. The online chat agent told me it has trouble connecting in apartment buildings. Seems like that’s something they should inform you of PRIOR to spending over $3k

I purchased an Eight Sleep Pod

I purchased an Eight Sleep Pod 3 expecting a premium product worthy of its premium price. At approximately $2,300, this is marketed as a luxury sleep system, and I believed I was investing in a product that would provide years of reliable service. Instead, my Pod failed after just 27 months—barely outside the warranty period. After contacting customer support, submitting photos, and going through their diagnostic process, Eight Sleep agreed that the Pod needed to be replaced. Their solution? Pay another $1,600 for a replacement. Think about that for a moment. A product that costs over two thousand dollars fails a little more than two years after purchase, and the company's idea of customer service is to ask the customer to spend another sixteen hundred dollars to restore the functionality they already paid for. That isn't standing behind your product. It's shifting the cost of what appears to be a premature failure onto the customer. What's especially troubling is the economics of ownership. If a system costs $2,300 and lasts only 27 months, that's an ownership cost of more than $85 per month before considering the ongoing Autopilot subscription many customers also maintain. Even the replacement requires a continuing subscription to automatically receive maintenance inserts every 6–8 months, adding yet another recurring expense. Eight Sleep's response was polite, but it completely missed the point. This wasn't a request for a discount on a new product. It was a request for a reasonable accommodation when an exceptionally expensive product failed shortly after its warranty expired. Companies that truly believe in the quality of their products often provide goodwill assistance in situations like this because they recognize that customer loyalty is built on more than strict warranty dates. Instead, Eight Sleep chose to enforce the warranty cutoff with no meaningful accommodation beyond a discounted repurchase. The message to customers is clear: once the warranty expires, you're largely on your own—even if your investment fails only months later. Before purchasing an Eight Sleep system, prospective buyers should ask themselves a simple question: If this product lasts only a little longer than its warranty, am I prepared to spend another $1,600–$2,300 every couple of years? For me, the answer is no. The technology is impressive when it works. Unfortunately, based on my experience, the long-term value and the company's willingness to stand behind an expensive product do not justify the purchase. I cannot recommend Eight Sleep unless the company demonstrates a stronger commitment to supporting customers whose products experience premature failures just outside the warranty period.

Poor follow up for return of base

I’ve been waiting since initiating a return of the base ( unopened in the box) since July 22, at time of writing this on July 27 I’m still yet to have a shipping label and pick up scheduled despite daily follow ups. I’ve expressed I’m about to deliver a baby any week now as well as moving in 5 days and despite the urgency needed there appears to be no urgency to assist me with getting these two extremely large and heavy boxes for the base collected from my home. Extremely disappointed with the lack of immediate assistance that is needed.

I live in a rural area

I live in a rural area, the product arrived in a few days. Also, I made a mistake ordering two. I was concerned with the ai email responses, but everything worked out great with the return of one pad. The pad is easy to setup and is working well !!! Thank yopu so much for all your help!! Scott
