Many many many emails and tests later over about 3 months, they sent another. Finally got one of the replacements to connect and work. A bug in the app. Approximately 6h of work on my part. I asked if they could send a second cover to pair with the spare pod and they told me to throw it in the bin...
I enjoyed my Eight Sleep for months, but then something went wrong with the system and the noise the fan makes is not so loud I have to wear earplugs when I am using it, which I now can't every night due to noise. I have shown videos and swapped numerous emails to Eight Sleep but they just keen saying it is 'normal' (it most definitely is not), and that to contact again if anything changes... Wtf. Terrible customer service, really disappointing. Don't waste your money.
Where can I find in the app what the different colors mean in the hub. I get up early mornings, usually after I know I haven’t slept so hood and the light is Red. After a few more hours in bed it is usually white. The Blue and Aqua are very hard to see the difference.

I was quite happy with the product that I bought and it's original function. This was the Eightsleep 3. However, in recent months the company moved basic functionality behind a paid subscription. These basic features (to set the temperature by hand at a couple of different times at night) were there from the beginning and there was no expectation that this would change. I'm not interested in the AI features --- I just want the simple manual settings, but these have been paywalled. I was considering upgrading to one of the newer models but will not after this move by the company.
I first wanna say I absolutely love eight sleep it is awesome! I am a night sweater and my spouse is the opposite so she is always cold. With eight sleep we are able to both sleep comfortably together and I no longer sweat in my sleep! I have had my pod 3 for some years now with no issues until recently, so I contacted support and explained what was going on and we ran through the troubleshooting and I ended up sending in some easy to take photos that they needed. They responded that my system was clogged and needed to be replaced. I’m still covered under warranty to so I don’t have to pay a penny! They are also upgrading me to the pod 4 with the matching cover for no charge, not even shipping. Nor do I need to be hassled with returning the old unit I just have to dispose it in an environmentally friendly way. I couldn’t be happier with the way the resolved my situation and I definitely couldn’t be happier with the product as it’s the best on the market! I LOVE MY EIGHT SLEEP!!
Trying to return one part of the order. Repeatedly told by 8 Sleep a courier is booked, I wait in. No courier comes. Repeat Ad Naseum. Starting to suspect that the 30 day guarantee is poetic licence.
My sleep has improved y more than an hour and a half in the first two weeks of Eight sleep pod 5 use.
It’s difficult to setup if you’re looking for specific temperature settings like within 64 to 66 range. Also deep sleep numbers are way too off from Apple Watch. I was thinking it will be off by minutes. But had like Apple Watch say 30 min and eight sleep shows 1hr 40 mins. The day experience was like 30 mins deep so would say Apple Watch was more accurate.
Overall, I have enjoyed the Eight sleep system. I am using my WHOOP to track my before use and during use data (approximately 5 months of pre-eight sleep pod data). I have noticed significant improvments in sleep quality (restorative sleep times), sleep stress, wake events, HRV, RHR, recovery score and overall mental clarity/energy/focus/sharpness throughout the day. To add background, I am an ER physician who has an erratic schedule which wreaks havoc on my circadian rhythm. I typically struggle with waking up after roughly 6 hours of sleep and not being able to fall back asleep. The eight sleep pod has helped with this as well. My significant other has also seen improvements in these areas. I do notice that the restorative sleep data between my WHOOP and the eight sleep pod are fairly different. However, the other metrics such as HRV, RHR, RR, seem to match up well. One thing I don't like (this is not specific to eight sleep because I have the same issue with WHOOP) is the sleep consistency score which both products constantly try and suggest ways to fix. However, the reality for me personally is this is a byproduct of my job and short of quitting my job, won't be fixed. I get tired of seeing that my sleep consistency sucks when there isn't a real solution. Overall, I really like the eight sleep pod and feel like it was 100% worth the investment. I am somewhat concerned about the longevity of the product but time will tell how that will play out.
I love the pod and the actual product, I hate that you have to pay also for autopilot, and even then, I hate that it’s only an annual subscription. It’s frustrating when I don’t have the means to even pay for something. If there was a monthly subscription, it would be so much easier.
I thoroughly enjoy the cooling environment that is my bed now. It is easier to get to sleep and more comfortable getting ready for bed in the room since the thermostat stays put. The data provided is a lot to take in and I am still trying to make sense of it and apply it to more consistent sleep. So far the journey has been worth it and I'm sure as time passes it will get better.
Great system, easy to install, just upgraded to the blanket, and despite it being 26 degrees in my bedroom last night, had a beautiful sleep under a heavy duvet (i like a weighty duvet) Only complaint is the app, which can be a bit confusing and annoying

I do not kinow why the pod does not register my rem sleep. i know I am dreaming and ofter wake up dreaming but it still registers 0 REM sleep
I love the temperature control of the product (we have both the pod and the blanket). While the blanket is a bit hard to manage (it's heavy and cumbersome, often slides down) I like the top-bottom temp control. What I would love to have is a profile that it for families with small children. I wake up a lot and am subjected to my infants sleep patterns, so many of the suggestions (eg. better wind down routine) is not actionable for me. I would expect this profile to trace the number of wake-ups I have and recommend ways in which I can help my kids sleep better based on their age. Or at least congratulate me when I wake up less frequently, or accept that I would go to bed at 7:30pm to make up for a sleepless night without shaming me for it.

I have not been sleeping well for years because I get too hot at night causing me to constantly adjust the covers. The first night with our new Eight Sleep pod was a totally different experience. I slept soundly all night and woke up comfortable and refreshed. This is amazing!!
It took a minute to actually get all of the pieces. Once I did, I could see a difference after the first night. I struggled to modulate my temperature on my own and the blanket/cover are perfect! You can really feel the temperature difference as soon as you get in bed. I was looking at the tempur pedic and the sleep number. I wanted to keep my mattress though because I really like it. 8 sleep was the perfect option for me!
