ElevenLabs still has ALOT of bugs to figure out before it's ready
Every single adjustment you do, costs credits. From the SMALLEST of adjustments. I paid for a month to see if it would be good for making hypno therapy sessions. But I burnt through 50K credits out of 130K credits on a single hypno session, and it STILL doesn't sound right. It charges you for it's own glitches that You have to fix. even working on adjusting the tonality? every single time it costed me about 2,000 to 3,000 credits. And it literally only has One voice that would be good for meditative voice audio. I definitely will not be uying another month. Not worth it yet. They have alot of updating to do on this app before it gets better for it's users. ElevenLabs is still a work in progress. I don't see it being worth it until they make some drastic changes. The lagging on the website while trying to edit alone can easily cost you credits just because it accidentally shifts your script blocks around while you are just trying to rewind the audio Definitely would not recommend.

ElevenLabs is incredibly easy to use, and their documentation is seriously good. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now, and I have to say, I’ve been pretty floored by the technology. The quality, speed, and how easy it is to actually build with is impressive.

I subscribed to this ElevenLabs and all it did was eat my credits!!!!! wasted my money!! Dont get trapped. It's so frustrating that some, actually a lot of AI tools are not helping but just taking money from people!!!!
Definitely not worth it
Definitely not worth it. I cloned a voice 2 months ago, it is still not labeled as a reviewed voice. Without that, no one buys it. Support is bad. Seems like they are not interested in any new customers.

Good to know before you pay: - Around 5k Credits for a 3-4 minute video. - The Voiceover Video editor is terrible. - Video exports at 2.7kBits no matter what the Input bitrate was. No Settings to change that either. My Video went from 14kBits to 2.7kBits. Horrible and useless. - CPU spikes just from typing with the agent. Whats going on here? AND to top it with a cherry they slap their ugly Logo on the already horrid export. The Pricing plan does not mention any watermarks. So after spending time and struggeling with that horrible editor you get hit with that. 1/5 stars for that first impression. Maybe good enough for slop but not recommended for anything professional.

Two different voice agents, same SDK
We're a Chilean startup building AI sales agents for small businesses across Latin America. We're part of their startup grants program, so I'll say that upfront. We built two voice agents on their platform, doing very different jobs. The first one replaced our setup form — instead of filling in fields, a small business owner talks for a few minutes and their agent is configured. The second one guides campaign creation: it asks what they're trying to achieve and routes them to the right channel, without them needing to understand the technical difference between one and the other. Client tools are what made both possible. Having the agent show a field, advance a screen, or save an answer from inside the conversation is what separates a real conversation from a form you talk to. And the fact that the same setup worked for two agents with completely different scripts saved us from rebuilding everything the second time around. Two honest notes: the Flash model occasionally produces audio artifacts on uncommon names, and the agent authentication toggle is hard to find — it's under Settings, Advanced, Security, not where the docs suggest. Neither slowed us down. Our users are business owners aged 55 and up who don't want to fight with software. Letting them talk instead of type changes who can use the product.

Wasted thousands of credits
Wasted thousands of credits – no video, no refund, no response I spent a large number of credits on ElevenLabs, including over 60,000 credits on a single video that was never delivered. When their system made the mistake, I was expected to pay again with more credits instead of them fixing it. There are no refunds. I emailed support twice and received no response. The majority of the credits I spent produced nothing usable. Poor experience overall — expensive, unreliable, and zero customer support when things go wrong.

This company released a product that is practically unusable. Product hallucinated extra pages on export. Volume drifts inconsistently when generating each draft of a speech. For the same paragraph, the audio sometimes is too loud, sometimes too soft. The output levels are at the whim of the AI. Product requires every paragraph to be retuned once a project is regenerated. This is not a viable solution and I am sorry for having used it in a mission critical process.

I have one of the best voices for news and finance channels, and hundreds of creators have used my voice to monetize their youtube channels. They took 3+ months to review my voice and then gave it the most insane review comments... I have NO idea who works at elevenlabs and reviews the voices but they need to be fired immediately... Customer support was friendly. I had a login problem that turned out to be my error, but I needed ElevenLabs support to figure this out and then tell me what to do to access my account. Problem solved promptly.
Spent a huge amount of credits and had to find another solution in the end
Spent a huge amount of credits for their dubbing service, didn't work, ended up re-doing myself in the aimed language. I'm a french speaker and the plugin either messed so much the translation that it was gibberish, or at some point, don't really know why, it gave me a russian accent (same settings, recording done the same day under same conditions) or even sometimes it just stoped translating at half of the video. I was forced to take a bigger plan just to achieve the few videos I had but in the end consumed almost all the credits because I had to re-try several times. I think I tried everything, only audio, cut out in smaller parts, use their V1 or V2 model, use the studio projects. None if this worked. Ended out spending a whole day for 4 videos of 5 minutes. Contacted the support urging them that I had a short deadline, but never heard back of them, they just said they were sorry and didn't really help. Wouldn't recommend, I feel like they sell great capabilities just to sell and then they just don't really care if you're a small client.
