Wouldn't you think "General Admission" means the fee into the fair would be included? Dream Pass? More like I just threw 92.00 away. And in this economy! The tickets did not include the cost of entry. I requested a refund the day off because it was less expensive to pay for the entry fee. Etix did not get back to me until August 4 (after I flew back from visiting) with this little nugget: "I wish I had better news, but unfortunately your request could not be approved. We have been advised that the Terms and Conditions agreed upon during your purchase (tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable) must be upheld.
These are policies set in place by the venue or promoter and as a contracted ticket company we must abide by those policies."
So basically you need to read the fine print before buying tickets to a county fair... Big Business always screwing with the people. This was a county run fair! Should I be angry at the County? Perhaps. But when I look beyond the BS, I just see another company messing with people. Use them if you like BUT YOU BETTER READ THAT FINE PRINT because etix has NO problem with accepting clients that don't give exchanges or refunds.
Purchased three VIP tickets for the ZZTop concert at the Lynchburg Amphitheater scheduled for May 21st. The concert was canceled due to weather with refunds promised within 5-10 business days. It is now nearly two months later, and we're still waiting.
Terrible experience.
Ordered and paid for physical tickets that didn’t ship in time.
Requested a refund to be told that its policy that they don’t do refunds.
Etix did not send the purchased tickets. I checked all spam and junk folders. Their customer service is awful. Could not get past the robot call screener. Horrible experience
Vile .. the whole transaction was absolutely vile I would never recommend this site to anybody. They described a ticket to me that was going to be in the front row of a venue in a certain section. And then upon printing my ticket I realized that they have sold me a ticket in the back of that section. No refunds no return. Their excuse was is oh you didn't invite from us you bought it from some type of third vendor on our site who charged three to four times the price of what the ticket was and also the ticket is in the very back of the venue. Now on the site I could have bought a ticket in the back for $49 but I didn't because I wanted the seat in the front that was $200. The site keeps saying that they're not responsible. Make sure you enjoy your tickets from elsewhere

This company is corrupt. DO NOT buy anything through them. They will not refund you if an event is canceled. Blue Ridge Rock Festival tickets were purchased through etix and when the festival was canceled they will not (still to this day) refund our $1500.00, stating they need to wait for the lawsuit or something. We purchased through etix, not blue ridge. Refund my money, then you can fight with blue ridge to get yours back. Crappy company! DO NOT USE!!!
I spent 77 dollars on tickets from Etix for the Jamil shrine center circus. When the day came for the circus no tickets were checked at the door. EVERYTHING was paid for out of pocket once we got inside the venue, food, pictures, etc. the tickets was used for absolutely nothing and when I tried to get a refund etix refused my refund request. I basically brought tickets for nothing

An employee at your company used my credit card to purchase 9 tickets to a concert in St. Charles. IL in November. They slightly modified my contact info just enough to look real. I have attempted to dispute the charge with my credit card company and they claim, per your false documentation that I purchased, printed and attended an event I do not even know the artist of and have never even been to this city, state or venue. ETix and their employees are defrauding people all over, slightly altering your information so you are unable to dispute it and have to pay for their disgusting, unethical fraudulent practice. I am not the only one, look at the other reviews posted by those who have defrauded by ETix.

Hi Amber,
The referenced charge was formally disputed through your cardholder’s financial institution. As required, Etix participated in the chargeback review process and provided documentation requested by your financial institution. The outcome of that review is ultimately determined by the financial institution and card network, not by Etix.
We responded directly to your email explaining that once a chargeback is initiated, resolution must occur through the established financial dispute process.
We understand how frustrating disputed charges can be and encourage anyone with concerns to work directly with their bank so the matter can be reviewed and resolved through the appropriate channels.

Etix
Some employee at your company used our credit card to purchase tickets to a concert in Illinois this summer. They slightly modified my contact info just enough to look real. We are still fighting the charge! We will never use this service again!

Hi Mr. Hoeth,
For the email address you provided, we see only a single item in our history. For the event, free (COMP) tickets issued to your email address for winning a radio contest. The cost is $0.00 and no credit card was required or charged for this.
If this does not address your issue, we want to make sure this is thoroughly reviewed. Please reach out to our support team directly at [email protected] with as many details you can share, and we’ll work with you to investigate.

I purchased 6 tickets for an acapella Christmas show and due to hazardous road conditions & the venue being over 400 miles away, we could not travel. I called customer service and was on hold for well over 30 minutes before they disconnected my call. I called back & chose the option for them to call me back. When they called back 3 hours later, the call disconnected. I repeated this process probably 3 times. When I finally spoke to someone, she was rude and told me they only refund tickets if the event is cancelled. This isn’t the first time I’ve played phone tag with customer service for this company. I can’t control the weather and I will not put my family at risk driving on snow covered icy roads.

Hi Melanie,
We certainly understand not wishing to put you or your family at risk.
As a contracted ticketing provider, we are bound by the terms of purchase provided to us by our partner venues. We do not set these policies, but our employees must enforce them. You are correct that this often means refunds or exchanges are not possible. We suggest contacting the venue box office directly as they are the only staff empowered to make exceptions. We apologize for your inconvenience.

Terrible. Booked two tix for Goo Goo Dolls concert last night in Buffalo in general admission. Something went wrong and I was sent a link for ONE VIP meet and greet ticket (for $330). I showed up with my date and was told we only had one ticket and due to "occupancy" I could not buy another one. We had to leave without going in. The gate agent would not help and (really) looked at us and said "not my problem this is your problem."

Hi Ms. Noon,
Thank you for providing additional details so that we could locate your order. Our team confirmed your original online order, placed 11/12/25, contains only a single VIP Meet and Greet ticket and you were only charged for a single ticket.
We're disappointed the venue staff was unhelpful, and we certainly understand the disappointment. You may wish to contact the venue directly regarding your experience. Etix does not staff gates or the box office at this venue.
