Now in a law suit with Bank of America. In spite of paying faithfully for over a year, five lakes has done NOTHING to help me. My settlement with Amex is for the same amount that I paid in my hardship program with them. I received a subpoena today from BoA. The company has said they may or may not defend me in the suit, in spite of the fact that they got me into this mess. If I had been able to negotiate with BoA myself, this would not have happened. I truly want to off myself. I’ve never been so duped or so alone in such a huge mess. I trusted these people, and they have thrown me to the wolves.

I had a lot of apprehension about calling a credit management company and was connected to Cinque Davis. He was patient, thorough and very kind. I did not feel pressured at all. I was in a significant debt hole following my husband’s stroke 8 years ago and our subsequent unemployment - his inability to work and my taking on his caretaker role. I was ashamed and scared and at a loss as to how to proceed. Cinque explained the process, the creditors’ role, Five Lake’s role and most importantly my responsibilities. He was able to present a plan that would potentially restructure my debt, offer a reasonable payback schedule all providing an end in sight, which I could not have accomplished on my own. Still not 100% sold on the product i feel there were accounts with lower balances that could have been resolved and you guys decided to go with the higher ones so with all the money i have paid up to now i have only gotten i resolved when we could have probably had 3-4 already resolved.

I’m just glad to getting a handle on this debit I still can’t hardly buy food because I’m still buying parts to fix the truck the rest of the way, the transmission was bad as well !! As the engine ! Five Lakes did very little to work with my situation. It was exhausting to see my earnest attempt to pay back debt mean nothing; they saw my inability to afford the additional monthly amounts as my problem, not their problem. Spent hours on the phone getting cold responses to my situation. This brought on more stress, not less. I would not recommend this program .
