What people say

Great place to sell foreign coins - fair and fast!

As a small local coin dealer, I often need to buy foreign coins to get the entire lot I wanted from a customer. Even in a city the size of Charlotte, there's no place to exchange them. I contacted FCCE with some questions and the owner responded - a good sign! I sent about $300 in Canadian coins, partially sorted. It took less than 2 weeks to process, and I received a deposit in my preferred account. I rate them fair and fast with good communication! I'll be doing more business with FCCE!

Total Satisfaction

Highly recommend! I've accumulated foreign bills and coins for over 10 years hoping to return to each country. But new countries called and my bag of currency only grew. I found Foreign Currency and Coin Exchange and decided it was time to part with my collection. The website was easy to navigate and I was able to identify old and outdated currency. I mailed off my envelope and opted for payment by Venmo. Shortly thereafter, my payment arrived as promised. I am completely satisfied with my experience and recommend them.

Probably the best/only mail-in option available

One gift card that I sent was not credited. The rest of the currency, coins and cards were properly exchanged and the total was promptly deposited into my bank account. I followed up twice, hoping to clear up what happened. I never got a response. According to the order form that I submitted, the item was a $10 gift card worth $5, so it wasn't a huge deal, but I would have appreciated some explanation, like 1) We don't accept that kind of card anymore, 2) There was something wrong with the card, or 3) Whoops, we'll take another look and get back to you. This is a really unique service so I wanted it to be useful, but I can't strongly recommend that people put a lot of trust in it. I'd be reluctant to use it again. Definitely read the ENTIRE website like I did. As the owner recommends, always send money using a service with tracking numbers. I will add: photograph everything you send, and don't send large amounts in one order...just in case something is lost. If you have a big jar of random coins and currency that's collecting dust, this might be worth a try. You don't have much to lose. I liked being able to send gift cards that I wasn't likely to use.

Simple and fair

While liquidating a business I found a box of leftover currency from foreign trips employees had taken over the years. Most of it consisted of obsolete bills that were no longer legal tender and could only be exchanged at the central bank in the issuing country. I was relieved to learn that I could mail these to FCCE for exchange at rates it publishes on line. The discount was reasonable in light of the service performed. The owner was friendly and easy to communicate with. The process was fast and convenient. U.S. dollars appeared in my account the day the bills arrived.

I was able to exchange the Kuna A++

I was able to exchange the Kuna before they phased it out. The process seemed to easy to be true, but literally, just sent them the currency, they received it and deposited the monies into my account the same day. The only hiccup, you can't use usps (with tracking), must use UPS or some other way of sending monies.

Great experience, highly recommend

I was skeptical going in because the website seemed a little outdated and there are no Google reviews for this business, but I had an amazing experience with them! I sent them a mix of many different currencies, a significant portion of which were unsorted coins. I sent the package on a Friday and had the money in my account by Monday. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Multiple coin types

Had no idea how to turn in multiple types of coins my husband had picked up from years as an overseas pilot. I was able to use the website resources to identify most of them and was pleased with the website tip to ship to ship USPS in a box with a reasonable fee no matter the weight. I received my check in a timely manner. Would definitely use this service again!

Poor Experince

I tried this service out with some leftover bills from a trip to Nepal. I went in sort of expecting some sort of issue, but it was for a small amount. But issues are what occurred. The owner responded to my initial status request saying he did not receive anything yet but was looking fwd to it since he had another customer going to Nepal shortly. Which outside that chance occurrence, had me wondering why that would matter considering this was for roughly $35. Instead of getting the current exchange with this service, what I got was the feeling of being gaslit by his response when I initially inquired about the status of this exchange. I guess things can always get lost in the mail, but sort of funny this is my first occurrence of such an event. Even more so with this being in the same city. Do not recommend.

I am very glad Carlos wrote this reply. Since people only read negative reviews it gives me an opportunity to give you a tip on shipping your items to us. Carlos says he shipped his notes to us. He sent an email a week or so later asking if we had received his notes. We replied that we had not and to please send us a tracking number so that we could reach out to whatever shipping service he used to see where it was. He refused to proved a tracking number and accused us of stealing his notes and would be leaving us a negative review. If you ship coins/banknotes to us please use a shipping service that will provide you with a tracking number and keep that tracking number in a safe place until we have confirmed receipt of your package. This does two things....it allows you to see exactly when your package was delivered and if for some reason your package isn't delivered it allows us to reach out to the shipping service for help in locating that package.

FCCE was great until they stopped honoring their online posted rates that are locked in at time of the order...

I have used FCCE in the past multiple times and have been pleased with my experience (fast payment and ease of the process). My reason for the low rating has to do with Chase at FCCE not honoring the rate that was locked in at the time of me processing my order (101 of Zimbabwe notes). I have evidence showing that the rate remained the same for multiple days, but Chase/FCCE still refused to honor the rate. I expect a business to honor the rate when they promised they would honor the rate at the time of order submission.

Now a come back from wack lame owner…

Now a come back from wack lame owner Chase it talks like he smart and knows his stuff and doesn't. The only research I should have done is other reputable and honest coin and stamp dealer other your lame business. Another thing you didn't tell your audience be honest with yourself and stop lying. I sent you an email stating you to send them back to me your lazy behind had to do that and why you sitting up there saying they were use someone gave those coins and stamps to me. Your judgment doesn't matter any way you are lousy and like I said in the last review would not never do business with a scam or fraud like you and others agree because you have more negative reviews and not so happy customers. Stop being a theif and SEND MY ITEMS BACK anyone lazy is you. You don't anything about me. ,👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👇👇👎👎👎👇👇👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

100% recommend

100% recommend. Ordered currency from them three different times for multiple countries, and everything was fast, courteous, safe, and accurate. You can email Chase directly (his email is on the website!), and he will respond in a timely fashion. Outstanding customer service.

Fast and as promised

Super convenient way to recover your leftover cash from a trip. It was fast (2-3 business days in total) and I was refunded all that was promised. Exchange rate was far from ideal, but I didn't find better alternatives in the market and they do need to make money for the service they provide.
