Good cartridge replacement method.

To order a cartridge recycling envelope, please go online to your account at www.hpinstantink.com/signin/ and request an envelope be sent to you from HP Planet Partners. We usually advise people to wait until they have multiple cartridges to return and then send them in to keep carbon footprint to a minimum. The bag will hold several cartridges at a time. While the service is efficient, I dont think the packages designed for HP Ink are cost effective i.e. we dont get value for money. In fact the HP cartidges, if purchased from outside, would prove much cost efficient especially for a low user like myself. I strongly believe I am not getting enough value through the plans offered by HP Instant Ink. I'm seriously considering quitting the membership altogether very soon, unless HP introduces some alternate cost effective plan for low users like me.. I will give your Company couple of months to act on this suggestion before I exit permanently. Think about it!

The process works well and is efficient. It’s convenient and suited me for 9 years- but if you send me “free” gifts that I have to subscribe to as a reward for my loyalty again I will cancel.

I find it very expensive to use my ink this way, but if I don't then I am rather stuck. I do not like a subscription type system, as we all know that this type of system benefits the person offering the subscription rather than the person using it. The challenge I have is that this printer is not the best, it regularly drops out of the connection with my laptop so I can spend a while getting everything up and connected again.

Their fees are insane. You can get cheaper ink at Amazon. I was on the lowest plan and only got one set of ink the year I used it. About 96 dollars for one set. When I went to cancel they said I had to pay an extra month. And they didn't even let me finish the cartridges. The printer printed a page wasting my paper saying the ink only works with an active subscription. 96 dollars and I could use the one set completely. I don't print enough, but I bet the fees are just as crazy if you actually print.
Hi, HP Instant Ink is a subscription printing plan. Your printer tells us when to send more ink, and we deliver it to you before you need it. We send you HP Instant Ink cartridges when you first sign up for the service, and additional replacement cartridges are sent as needed based on ink usage, not by the month. You choose an Instant Ink plan based on the number of pages you would like to print monthly. Your monthly fee covers the pages in your plan, allows you to roll over unused pages (up to triple your plan pages), ink delivery, and recycling. You are not purchasing ink cartridges through this service. For this reason, the subscription cartridges do not work after cancellation. The printer itself is never disabled, and you can install store-bought cartridges to keep printing. I don't like this service and am quite disappointed. It's a great idea and started off well enough. The ink begins to run out, however, the company says that my ink levels are good. I know from my prints that they are not. There is no one to talk to and the AI isn't very helpful. I decided to cancel the service after trying it for 6 months and am planning to order regular ink due to poor customer service and poor quality ink.
