We spent a lot of time going from store to store looking at patio umbrella from $59 to $1000 plus. The thing is our Midtown umbrella checked all the boxes as far as quality, looks, and value. I feel at $160 it compared with umbrella costing over $600 that value. A+
I ordered the 8ft Swilt in Greige. The order went thru and I was thanked for my order. I received confirmation that it would be delivered in about 5 days. But it was not delivered. There are now no colors available. When can I reorder this? When will I receive my refund? Very dissappointed.

They double sold me on the umbrella base and blamed it on AI. Would not give me a refund. They cannot be trusted.

Umbrella was sent with the incorrect pole. once I made them aware of the situation . They immediately sent me out a replacement pole no questions asked ,terrific customer service.
Very easy to find what you want and delivered quickly. This is my second purchase of a ten foot umbrella. One for the deck and another for the water deck. Sturdy, smooth operation and Canadian.
Excellent customer service. Quick reply and resolution
I sent an email for a defective umbrella to customer service. Received a very quick reply from company and a very quick resolution. Very satisfied.

Parts were missing
Parts were missing. Parts didn’t fit together. Only support that provided any help was only via email. Overall very disappointing.

Hi Chris — you're absolutely right to be upset, and this is on us. An umbrella that shows up without the parts to put it together isn't acceptable. Love your umbrellas (we've ordered many!) This time, there were few colors to choose from and the selecting a color didn't work until several tries

Great Umbrella
This was a gift and the recipient, my daughter and family, love it. I also saw what a sturdy and quality product. They love the fabric. The tilt feature took a little time to get used to be it is also great now that we know what to do!
Using the MidTown website has been a good experience. I was able to access the product information very easily. When I've called to ask a few questions, the representatives have been pleasant, polite and helpful. Thanks!

Good product so far. Terrible customer service.
I purchased an 8-foot Tilt umbrella and The Core Base based on a New York Times Wirecutter recommendation for the umbrella. The 10-year warranty was a big selling point for me. I ordered directly through Midtown's website on a Sunday. Delivery was scheduled for four days out (Fed Ex). On the delivery date (Thursday), I got a notice that the delivery was delayed because Fed Ex had a bad address. I called Fed Ex and they told me to contact the seller. I did and it was the first and last time I talked to a human customer service rep. He told me it might take a while, blaming Fed Ex. On Friday, my wife looked out the window and told me Fed Ex was delivering what looked like an umbrella to our neighbor two doors down. Sure enough, it was my umbrella and base. They had the wrong address (different wrong from the first bad address) and my name spelled wrong). I assume that info came from Midtown. Then I had a question about the assembly of the base (there was an extra part included that was not on the assembly diagram) and attempted to call customer service twice, only to have the phone system hang up on me after about a minute on hold. Eventually, I figured it out myself. The enclosed card in the umbrella box instructed me to register my warranty within 14 days to ensure they would honor the warranties on their products. I went online and attempted to do so, only to have the document software error out because it asked where I purchased the product and the only dropdown choices were Wayfair, Walmart, and Amazon. It would not let me fill in "your website" nor leave the field blank. I tried phone support twice, and got the quick hang ups. Then I used the Chat help and after 15 minutes of typing in the chat and explaining the problem, the chat said it was bringing in a live person to help. I waited in that chat for 45 minutes then finally gave up. I made screen shots of the chat and sent it to Midtown's customer service email. Three days later, they emailed me an apology and stated they had 'no customer service agents" to help me that Friday. They also informed me that if I bought directly from their website, I didn’t need to register my products for warranty coverage. All that time wasted to find out the card included in the product had incorrect information on it! The ironic thing is on Midtown's website in "Our Story" they state "Service Like No Other" and refer to their "Award Winning Service" My experience was quite the opposite. And it concerns me that if I do have a warranty issue, Midtown may not be there to answer the call (literally!)
