Motif is an app that lets users turn their photos into photo books, calendars, cards, and canvases. The app employs smart technology to curate users’ photos, finding their best images, hiding duplicates, and more. Motif’s Autoflow feature places those curated images into beautifully designed layouts in seconds. Users can then personalize with text and design elements. Motif works seamlessly on both Mac desktop/laptops as well as iPhones and iPads. RR Donnelley, Motif’s parent company, was a trusted premier print supplier to Apple when they offered printed photo products. It is some time since I made a photo book, but having bought a cocker spaniel puppy the year before, I decided the time had come to create a memory book of his puppy stages.
Having used Motif many times previously I was pleasantly surprised how quickly and easily I was able to use the app even although it had been developed and improved with many more options available.
I chose the blank book and was able to design each page to make the most of the photos I had gathered. The colour quality is true to life and picture quality is excellent.
A suggestion to improve the app would be to be able to use a photo as a background, with other photos able to be placed on top.
My book of 98 pages came very quickly.
It was beautifully bound and carefully packaged and made all the effort and time spent putting it together so worth while.
Would I motif again? Definitely.
Thanks. I love my keepsake.

Wow, Bif, what an absolutely glowing review!
We’re so happy to hear that Motif helped you create such a special keepsake for your puppy’s memory book. Amazing idea, and your thoughtful words truly mean a lot to us!
We're happy to hear you found the app easy to use (despite it being some time!) and that the print quality lived up to your expectations.
We also appreciate your feedback about using a photo as a background, and we’ll be sharing this with our team for future improvements.
Enjoy your book, and we’d love to see what you create next!

My experience from start to finish was exemplary and would recommend people to use this product. Starting it was really good fun to create my photo album, then the speed in which it arrived was fantastic and the finished album was better than expected. The only down side was the courier used (UPS). They didn’t turn up within multiple delivery slots provided and then left it in the rain on the door step without notification. This was a shame however my album really was fantastic.
Used these a couple of times, easy to build, they look exactly as they state on the site.. And they always arrive on or before the company says.. thanks.
The calendar is great - and I enjoyed putting it together - but it is not easy and it takes a while to work out what to do - it used to be much easier and you need to take your time!
This is my eight order with Motif and as ever, an appreciated fast delivery of my 24 pages photo album that was sent as a gift for Christmas. I found a difference with the paper previously used by Motif maybe because they merged with Mimeo that gives preference to recycled paper (?).The overall quality delivered is still strong though.
I also praise the hot line of the company that is prompt to answer and guide you.Well
Well done Team Motif/Mimeo
Easy to put together and finished product looks great. It also arrived way earlier than expected. Have used for several years and will continue to do so.

The whole process was very straightforward - any glitches were my mistakes - and the photo album is great. I shall be ordering a new one in the next few days.
