I seem to wait soooo long for contacts to arrive! This month I ordered 2 weeks ago and STILL waiting for my contacts. I’m
away on holiday in a few days and it looks like I’ll have no contacts.
I have an account which gives me no clue as to when I may get them, just says on order, no tracking, no updates, no clue!
I attended for my first over 60 sight test and opted to include the extra test available to look for early signs of cataracts or other issues. It was useful to have this option available. My prescription had changed and I ordered new frames and lenses. When I came to collect, unfortunately the reading area of the varifocal was too small. This was determined by one of the opticians and the frame and lens was sent back to be changed, without quibble or additional cost. When the glasses came back, everything was as it should be. Thanks in particular to Noor and Lisa for your help in getting everything right. Off the back of this help, I ordered a spare pare of glasses, which I'm very pleased with. Great service and as an Asda Opticians customer for a few years now, a better selection of frames than two or three years ago, especially for people like me who needs a wider frame.
My husband rang asda killingbeck leeds and left a message on there answer phone... 4 hours later he left another message!!!
Never got a call back ... I enquired about he's glasses, were they ready to collect because it was over 2.5 weeks and no communication... I was told there very busy !
He's glasses were ready to collect... when we're they going to let us know ..... not good enough........
Just purchased Ralph Lauren glasses from Asda Opticians West Bridgeford, disappointed with Vision Express,i won't be going there again Ray Ban which I cannot wear, they not interested, never mind,Asda thumbs up,avoid Vision Express 😢
I have been coming to Asda opticians for years. My husband also gets his glasses from Asda. Always ,always have had exceptionally great service. The staff are beyond good, knowledgeable, but friendly also . Wouldn't go anywhere else !!!!!
Redditch branch- shambles - unhelpful staff. Took a prescription in on my phone expecting to be able to email it to them and they would only accept a printed copy no flexibility no help just ‘we can only accept a printed version’ no customer service at all.
They call the day before to make sure you’re attending and then waste the appointment.
Rubbish
ABSOLUTE DISGRACE. Do not trust ASDA with your eyes!ASDA Opticians online is a complete and utter joke of a service. They are an absolute disgrace, incredibly expensive, and completely useless from start to finish.Their internal communication is non-existent. They constantly lose prescriptions that you have already sent them. Even though a contact lens prescription is valid for a full year, they will demand you upload it over and over again. You upload it, they lose it, you upload it again, and then they lie and claim they don't have it.To make it worse, they accept your money and then randomly cancel your order without warning, leaving you completely stranded with NO contact lenses for over a month. How are people supposed to see? They do not care at all. Their customer service is garbage and they are a total load of rubbish.Do not waste your time or your hard-earned money on these clowns. Go straight to Vision Direct instead ,their website actually works, they don't play stupid games with your paperwork, and the lenses arrive literally the next day. Avoid ASDA at all costs!
Got to say this, had my appointment on Friday 17th July 13.05pm.at Mansfield Asda.
The four ladies were so friendly, helpful and honest, an absolute pleasure.
The prices were really good, the sales lady put me right saving me a substantial amount off my final bill. The optician was so professional and so nice.
Many Thanks to you all.
I picked up my classes from Asda Walsgrave store in Coventry on the 10th July, and since that I’ve been back 4 times to get them adjusted as I can never get them correct first time as I’m very fussy, but the lovely colleague Natasha did them for me every time and she was so helpful and nice about it
Just been to Asda, Drakehouse in Sheffield. I have to say the optical advisor was brilliant, very clear in what she was doing, I had the OCT test(+£9) and she explained everything I needed to know about it.
The ophthalmic optician, Vanessa, was very comprehensive in her testing of my eyesight I think it’s the best thorough examination I’ve had done in a long time.
Have had eye tests yearly at ASDA Bishop Auckland for past 16 yrs and have always had superb service. The optician is more bothered about eye care than selling glasses. Talking about glasses, their range is limited but very competitively priced. I have no hesitation recommending them.
Great service yet again at ASDA Opticians Bearsden
Third time in a row for great service at ASDA Opticians Bearsden! I've been using them 6 years now and I revisited for my 2 yearly check up and, once again, received great service from the staff at this store, efficient and thorough as usual - I cannot recommend them highly enough! Thanks :-)
Asada Telford were extremely helpful all staff but especially Manager Andy. Sorted my daughters glasses after being messed around at Spec savers Telford, who were a joke.
Got a reminder to get my eyes tested, so logged into the website and no issues selecting the time and date. Got to the store about 5 mins before the appointment and was met by a pleasant young staff lady member and told to take a seat. A couple of minutes later she called me in to check pressure and get images of eyes, again sat for a few minutes and was called in by the optician. He was a young Indian man, tall and friendly, he did a very thorough check on my eyes and answered all of my queries with no sales pressure. The whole process was slick and pleasant and the price and range of glasses available was good too. Keep up the good work.
Returned to Asda Govan today to replace my specs. The service from Francesca was excellent - knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant. The eye assessment from Nnenne was extremely thorough, well explained, careful and caring. The specs were well priced, great quality and a superb choice. I would highly recommend this outlet.
I am not, not have I ever been, an employee of Asda - I simple believe that great service requires a great review.
I can't thank the team at Asda Opticians in Winsford enough, especially Hirah.
Years ago, my dad was told by an independent optician that he had the beginnings of cataracts. Since then, he had been going to another optician for regular eye tests and new varifocal glasses. Over the years, he spent hundreds of pounds on several pairs of glasses, but he still struggled to see properly and never felt they improved his vision. At his most recent appointment elsewhere, we were quoted another £280 for new glasses, but we decided enough was enough and looked for a second opinion.
Going to Asda Opticians was the best decision we could have made. Hirah carried out a thorough eye examination and immediately identified that my dad's cataracts had become very advanced and needed urgent treatment. She explained everything clearly, completed a referral to Leighton Hospital while we were still in the appointment, and before we even left, my dad had already received an appointment for the beginning of August. We were also told that, following that assessment, he should be able to have both cataracts treated shortly afterwards.
My dad had been losing hope and couldn't understand why his eyesight had become so poor despite repeatedly getting new glasses. Thanks to Hirah, we finally have answers and a clear plan to help restore his sight.
Hirah was professional, caring, thorough, and genuinely went above and beyond for my dad. We are incredibly grateful for the outstanding care we received and would highly recommend Asda Opticians in Winsford to anyone looking for an optician who truly puts their patients first.
As previously, I got excellent, honest, help with choosing frames - from Sandie this time. I took my prescription from elsewhere.
Very happy with my choices, and the price I paid. I find it difficult to choose spectacles elsewhere, as the service and prices are very hard to beat.
Can highly recommend.
I believe my eye test was carried out incorrectly at this optician. I returned the glasses provided because the prescription was not accurate, which was later confirmed by a second eye test at Specsavers.
The test felt rushed, and I was not given enough time to make clear and accurate decisions during the examination. Although the staff at the front desk who assisted me in choosing frames were excellent, my overall experience was poor.
Both my distance and near vision prescriptions appear to have been tested incorrectly.
