I’m an amateur home chef (people tend to rave over my cooking which is nice!) BUT prep can be a real pain! Obviously I was looking forward to receiving my Matsato knife. I rated it as an 8/10 bc I couldn’t get it to slice my tomatoes paper thin like the ad did. It’s not as sharp as my Henckel knife, however its weight makes quick work dissecting a chicken or dealing with dicing through dense root vegetables. All in all I’m still very pleased with my purchase.

It had been a revelation to see the excellent quality and preciseness of the knife. SUPER SUPER SUPER SHARP!
I bought 4 for Christmas gifts.
My son received one and was thrilled and beyond. He collects knives and could not stop marvelling at the uniqueness of the Matsato.
He immediately oiled the beautiful wooden handle.
This is more than a knife - it is an artistic creation! Would recommend to anyone with a passion for precision to invest in a Matsato! Also do not forget to get the Leather Sheath!

It’s a great knife, buy quantity and gift to someone you care about
When you buy something you want it to perform as advertised, this goes and marks all the boxes. Quality, pricing, feels great and cuts what you need cut, without cutting two or three times.
