Still the best tour in Salzburg — 8 years later, still brilliant!
Did this tour twice now, 8 years apart, and both times were fantastic. Incredibly, we had the same guide, Dave, on both visits, and he’s just as knowledgeable, funny, and full of energy as he was the first time round. Ferdinand drove us smoothly around all the famous filming locations and added great local flavour along the way.
If you get Dave and Ferdinand, you’re in for a real treat. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Salzburg. We’ll be back again!

This is a private tour, meaning that it was just our family of four. We were able to customize the tour to see what we wanted to see. We went to the Eagle's Nest, the Obersalzburg Documentation Center and a salt mine. Our guide, Johannes, was marvelous. He was punctual, courteous and very friendly. He was able to get us access to portions of the Eagle's Nest that are off limits to normal tourists. The tours of the Documentation Center and the salt mine were lead by audio guide and/or employees of those two locations. Johannes gave helpful background prior to our entering those facilities. We were extremely pleased with this tour and highly recommend it and Johannes.

It's a Group Tour. The guide, explain everything you need to know on the way, and when you get to Halstatt, you are on your own. Everything on schedule, it was perfect. Beautiful landscape, the mountains, the lakes are incredible. That's exactly what we were looking for. Driver and the Guide were very professional.

The quality of the coaches, the superb knowledge of the guides and the overall organisation of the tours was outstanding. Went on 2 different tours with this company and both were well worth the money. The overall experience was very enjoyable and the guides were brilliant and made the trips great fun. Absolutely brilliant Sound of Music tour! We all loved it from start to finish. The scenery was stunning, the history and stories were fascinating, and it was such a fun way to see more of Salzburg and the surrounding area.
Our guide (Mitch) was fantastic — really knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining, and made the whole experience enjoyable for all of us. There was a lovely balance of information, humour and plenty of Sound of Music magic.
Even if you’re not the biggest fan of the film, the beautiful locations and scenery alone make this tour worthwhile. For Sound of Music fans, though, it’s an absolute must-do!
We’d highly recommend it and would happily do it again.

Going down memory lane to our childhood with "The sound of Music". This tour has been such a special adventure which we will always remember. Tour of Salzburg and related Sound of Music sites was Amazing!
Our tour of Salzburg and related Sound of Music sites with Susi was fabulous! We went as a multi-generational family, and Susi was amazing, taking into consideration the needs of each person on the tour. We learned so much, and had a great time, and took wonderful photos! Susi shared so much relevant information about Salzburg and the surrounding areas, within the context of the Sound of Music. I would highly recommend this experience if you are looking for a way to get to know the area and culture! This was the highlight of our trip here.

A Wonderful and Unforgettable Sound of Music Tour!
An amazing tour of several iconic locations where The Sound of Music was filmed! Our Panorama Tours guide, José, had such fun and contagious energy that he made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We sang on the bus, took some great photos, and learned fascinating details about the making of the film, the lives of the von Trapp family, and the actors. A wonderful experience—highly recommended!

The guide makes all the difference.
We booked the double tour - salt mine and Sound of Music.
The salt mine tour surprised us, we both enjoyed it, the mine tour is part museum, part adventure park, part light show. The guide was great.
The Sound of Music tour was the main event for us, particularly me who has wanted to do it for 45 years. Unfortunately I don't think our guide was into it. And a guide makes all the difference. We spoke to some people at a cooking class last night and they said their tour was so much fun and their guide was awesome. Ours got the job done, but there wasn't any fun.
