A bit strange, but ok
I bought a set of piston rings for about $40 on partsology.com. After a couple days I get a email that I'm being refunded because their inventory was off. Ok fair enough, but then why a few days later was the exact same part listed on ebay by partsology $999.99. Seems odd, but they said they can't delete or mark out of stock on ebay so they just raise the price? Weird but ok. I bought some vintage Grant rings off ebay instead. All in all partsology only cost me a 4 day delay, so I understand stuff happens.
Hi, Nick Thank you for your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear you had issues with your order. We genuinely wish you had reached out to us beforehand, as we would have appreciated the chance to make things right. We would like to clarify that the part you ordered is, in fact, out of stock. We do not have it available. However, on platforms, the parts that are out of stock need to be listed in a certain way; in such cases, the price is set at $999 or over. Due to listing policies on eBay, an item cannot be set as out of stock, as we can do on our own website with our own listing policies. Once the part is back in stock, the price on eBay is listed correctly, and on our website will be updated as in stock. We are sorry for the confusion this caused you, and it makes us happy to have the opportunity to clarify it. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
