Reviewers had a great experience with this company. Customers frequently mention that the entire trade-in process is remarkably smooth, well-organized, and exceptionally easy to navigate from start to finish. People also really appreciate the practical shipping materials provided, along with the prompt digital card delivery and clear status updates.
However, some people mentioned that initial online trade-in offers were significantly reduced once devices underwent final inspection. A few other people also felt that waiting for payments and receiving customer support responses took much longer than expected, sometimes lasting nearly a month. Reviewers occasionally noted concerns regarding unexpected damage claims or difficulties with returned items.

I am a Costco employee who takes calls from our members. I walk them through finding their shop cards on Costco’s website, but had never used the phobio trade-in option myself until now. It was so efficient and easy. Seamless.
My payment was downgraded due to damage on the outside. I think it would be better if a box was sent so damage isn't due to the shipper. My payment went down from an estimate of $130 to $26 as a result of the damage. I'm not saying the damage was for certain due to shipping, but sending it in a box would ensure no questions about it. The process was very easy and I would use it again.
The UPS store complained that there was not proper communication re: free packaging and shipping. Nevertheless they shipped it saying it was not the customer's fault.
The communication and turnaround time re: receipt of device and inspection was slow. However, my 2 email inquiries were answered immediately and I received the full value of the initial quote.
Everything went smoothly this time as opposed to the last time I try to trade in with phobio. This time I made sure to take photos and a video showing my computer was in pristine condition and could start up and function. Last time, they sent me a notice that my computer couldn’t be started up, so I didn’t go through with the trade-in and ended up selling it to a friend. But it did work perfectly. this time everything went as planned. Just took longer than expected to receive the box to mail the computer back to them.
