Great Replacement for All Stars!

These shoes are great. I stopped wearing all stars years ago because they were too narrow. These are wide and comfortable and high quality for the price. The white toe cover is thin vinyl instead of rubber, so it may not last as long, but overall, these shoes exceeded my expectations. I would recommend them to anyone who wants the all star look in a comfortable barefoot shoe.

European to US Sizing Not Quite Right

I wear an 8 1/2 and the size guidance led me to order a 39. I had to wear them to see how they felt, to check out the fit, and I think they are OK, but just OK. Having worn them I can’t exchange them, but I might’ve liked to have tried on the next size up. I feel like I could’ve used a little more length in the shoe. I am hoping that with wear they expand a bit.

Overall it was okay

Overall it was okay, but traction is where this shoe struggles. I tested it on rocky terrain and smooth surfaces, and both were a bit concerning. On a rock with some sand on it, I actually slipped — thankfully I caught myself with a counterbalance before it turned into a fall. The thin, flat sole doesn't seem to bite through loose grit very well. Smooth surfaces were the other weak point, specifically cemented pebble walkways where the stones have been polished smooth over time. The lack of an aggressive tread pattern (which is typical for barefoot-style shoes, since they're built for ground feel rather than grip) means there's not much to rely on when the surface itself offers little friction. If you're mostly on dry, textured surfaces, this shoe should serve you fine. But if your routes include loose sand over rock, wet stone, or worn/polished pavement, go in with caution — I'd recommend testing your footing carefully in those conditions.

Overpriced water shoes that were…

Overpriced water shoes that were supposed to be durable barefoot shoes that I regret buying. The description and images were far off from what I purchased. I would never purchase again. If it weren’t a difficult process to return, I would have returned for a refund!

So far the soles are holding up.
