She has been helpful at all times, taking time to explain new procedures, working out payment difficulties, and handling any problems I had with the unit. I was recently very impressed with Storage Mart on Virginia Beach Blvd. I stopped at Storage Mart not because I needed a storage unit, but because I needed a large box to ship a portable washer. Sunny helped me find the perfect sized box and then helped me pack the washer in it. I feel this gesture was going above and beyond. Another rate increase. I originally rented this 5x10 unit over 30 years ago (another company then) for $33 per month. After Storage Mart took over the price started going up. Just. received a notice that the new rate is $216.96 for the same unit. Time to start looking for another storage place.

How is this type of price gouging even legal? It should be criminal the amount they increase your rent to. Nothing else to say but what a garbage company. Closing my account after the rent went from $179 to $339 in only 1.5 years. All of this while offering new monthly rates for $150-$170 for the same size unit. So they know people won’t want to move their stuff every 4 months and they take advantage of you. It is the definition of bait and switch.

TRUST all of the 1 star reviews concerning this company's 'rent increases'. You'll start out paying a normal, reasonable rate and then you'll be hit with multiple price increases some within the same year. How you can justify $235 PER MONTH for a small unit is absolutely insane.

Ray on 134th Pl, in Olathe did an awesome job in getting us into a perfect unit just in time before winter. He helped us determine the size and space we needed and worked with us on getting in right away.

There was a problem with the auto pay as I entered my newly acquired credit card since my old card expired. There was no notification of this missed payment till 5 days later in which the company charged me an extra 66 dollars for a 173 dollar monthly rental fee! That’s over 38 percent of the total cost!! Beware Renters!!

StorageMart on Mapleview Drive, Barrie is clean, dry, temperature controlled, well lit, & has good security including good access times. When moving is exhaustive & unexpected situations arise it's such a relief to have great staff who go the extra mile with customer service. Shaun, the site manager is polite, professional & attentive to the happenings on site & quick to deal with anything that arises. Olina, whom I've dealt with the most, is always cheerful, energetic, & quick to assist - whether it's staying late to greet us when an extra unit was needed ASAP, or even with small matters like lending a charging cord! She makes every encounter not only enjoyable & lighthearted, but easy & smooth no matter what it is. It's the exceptional customer service that turns a well run facility from great, to excellent. I was in panic because I couldn't get my key out of the lock on my unit. I went to the office and Mel came right out to help, he was able to cut the lock off and lucky for me he had new locks for sale at the office.

I rented a unit a few months back at the New Berlin location. I was told that my annual rate was $289 by the woman who setup the lease. After a couple months, my rate was raised by $58. I just spoke to the Property Manager of the New Berlin location. He told me that rent increases were in the fine print. I said I asked many questions and fully understood that my ANNUAL rate would be $289/month. I asked why these astronomical increases were not mentioned during lease setup. His reply "we do not mention the rent increases during lease setup because if we did, no one would sign a lease with us." I said that seemed pretty shady and would like to speak to a manager or someone in corporate. He repeatedly asked why and I told him I would like to discuss his attitude in email/phone call and the price increases with someone higher than him. He replied that I have an attitude problem. Yes - as a paying customer, I am upset with this treatment, however there was no yelling, name calling, profanities, or anything on my part to be rude or out of line. Questioning their antics is not an "attitude problem," however only points to his lack of professionalism and customer service.

I left my belongings at the storage facility back in 2013, thinking I would be back in a year or two. As it turns out, when I went home to help I ended up staying there for 11 years. During the entire time that I stored my property, the managers were extremely kind and helpful, especially Mike. Mike I can't tell you how much of a blessing you have been to me over the years.
