Paid over $400 for a few courses and…

Paid over $400 for a few courses and payment went through on my end and then their system stated my payment could not be verified. I called them and then was told I needed to send an email to the support team which I did. The support team then told me it would take 10 days for my refund to be processed back into my account. If the funds were processed why not credit the money to the classes I paid for? If my payment could not be verified how were you able to process a refund? Later I found out that this happens to many people who tried to use their platform. I’m glad this happened because I will be looking elsewhere to complete the necessary classes. I am still awaiting my refund but I have reported the issue to my bank as well.

In my opinion

In my opinion, the courses offered at Straighterline can essentially prepare any aspirant with the desire to begin a degree program have an easy start at a university of one's choice. The only information which I found somehow inaccurate is that, it will only take an average of 30 days to complete each course; in my experience, it's not. Depending on individuals, it might take a minimum of six months or even longer, which is okay if one has the desire to pave the way forward. It's self-paced and can be challenging if you are working full-time, but manageable.

So worth the membership! Don’t stress…take a course!

It was easy to sign up and the membership price was affordable. The course set up was very simple and easy to access. Though I didn’t need to use the tutoring offered, I appreciated that it was available.

Some things are unclear to me

Some things are unclear to me. For example, I’m not sure how to access the reading materials in an open book checkpoint. I also have been delayed in finishing my first course because I can’t get the honor lock thing to download on my computer so that has been frustrating. My friend who just completed Straighter line electives didn’t have to do that. But I do love the flexibility and working at my own pace!

Satisfactory experience

Easy enough. Website could be smoother to navigate once you get into the course. Otherwise, information is good, thorough directions. Time intensive as all a&p classes are.
