Super helpful, super personal care
We spoke with Mike on the phone a couple of times. He took the time to understand what we were looking for, searched the in-store stock and also researched available options online. He even called separately to follow up to let us know additional ideas he had thought of. When we received the parts, Mike called to ask how it was working out. This wasn't a huge order, to us it showed that the order size wasn't important to Mike and MI Truck Spring, but our successful outcome was.
It was nothing short of a horrible…
It was nothing short of a horrible experience. I decided to go with Michigan Truck Spring due to their pricing. What a mistake!! To start out they sent me the wrong clutch! They tried to blame it on me, even though I gave him all the proper info for him to send me the right one. They said to send it back and they would send me the right one. However they would only refund me for the clutch, not the $227.00 I had to pay for shipping to get it, and another $227.00 to ship it back to them, for something that was NOT my fault. So now I am $454 in the hole and I don't have the right clutch yet. Not to mention I could have bought locally for the money I now have into this clutch. They proceeded to send me another clutch a week later. Keep in mind my truck is out of service this whole time, not out making money, so that was not good as well. I receive the 2nd clutch and it showed up looking like it had been on the shelf, used, or returned, and was broken. After talking directly to the clutch manufacturer, I tried to install it, because I needed to get my truck back on the road, and after 5 hours of labor it only broke further. At this point I talked directly to Ace Clutch again, and they sent me out a brand new clutch free of charge. Definitely would work with Ace Clutch again. I called Michigan Truck Spring back again, to see about at least getting my shipping charges back on the broken clutch they sent out, since it should have been insured. Chad said he would check with the higher ups and get back to me. After 3 calls back to them, since I could not get a return call, the next guy said there is nothing they could do to help me, since insurance only covers loss??? So long story short, it took me 3 weeks to get my truck back on the road, and cost me $454 more than it should have, plus way more labor trying to make the broken clutch work, and 3 clutches later, I finally had my truck up and running. They absolutely refused to help me in any way, there customer service and call returns was horrible, and it didn't bother them at all that they screwed up twice, and the only one out time and money was me! They didn't lose a dime, until hopefully now, when others read this review, and hopefully shop somewhere else, to save them from the nightmare of buying from this company. In response to your response, the part number I gave to your guy was a direct cross replacement for the OEM number. I never said that number was incorrectly provided by the dealer. They are the dealer and I saw the same number on numerous websites. Furthermore, that is not what the manufacturer said when I contacted him to get the right clutch sent out. He said that was a good number, but that only gets you in the ballpark. You need to find out more details about the application to get the right clutch, which is what he did with that same number, asked me a few more questions about my truck, and then told me the right clutch needed. Your guy failed to ask me those needed questions to send me the right clutch. I did not know, nor should I be expected to know those questions, as I am not the guy selling the clutch, you are! That is why the blame is on your company for selling me the wrong clutch, for not knowing to ask important questions that gets me the right clutch! And I had to do all the work of getting the right clutch and the replacement for the broken clutch. And great for Chad, checking into something when it involves making sure you don't have to refund any money. He obviously did not care about getting back to me. I only asked for shipping charges back on the broken clutch, because of all the work I had to do to try and get the broken one to work, and I figured since it was allegedly broke during shipping, there should be insurance from the shipping company to cover that, in which case I could get refunded for that. If you responded to unsatisfied customers and took care of them, as quickly as you respond to a bad review, you wouldn't have as many bad reviews.

Greg, We’re sorry this order became such a frustrating experience and that your truck was out of service for an extended period. We reviewed the order carefully. The first clutch was ordered to replace Eaton part number 10806359, which was the part number provided to us when the order was placed. The clutch we shipped was the correct cross-reference for that number. We later learned that the original part number provided to you was not the correct application for your truck. Because the first clutch matched the part number requested, our standard return policy applied, including return shipping costs. If we had shipped the wrong part or incorrectly cross-referenced the number you provided, we would have covered those shipping charges. The second clutch was the correct application, but unfortunately it was damaged. Ace subsequently replaced that clutch under warranty at no charge and did not require the damaged clutch to be returned. We understand that this situation still resulted in considerable inconvenience, downtime, and frustration. We also should have done a better job returning your follow-up calls promptly, and we apologize for that. Preston, the part numbers you purchased on our site MWC9310 and MWC9320 are both Automann parts numbers. We list the manufacturer as Automann for each of these part numbers. We have never had any issues with Automann parts. We show actual images of the Automann parts. You are welcome to return them for a full refund if you are not satisfied. Best Regards.

I liked the fact that you let me know right away that the items I ordered were out of stock and might take a couple weeks to get, and offered me the chance to order elsewhere. Most places simply leave you hanging, wondering what’s going on with your order I would definitely order from you again.
Communication was great
Communication was great. Vendor contacted me to inform of delay in getting a box of 25 wedge washers, they said there were only 23 on hand. I told them I would rather get 23 sooner, and get the truck back together, than 25 late. FYI there are 12 such washers on each hub. They got the shipment out fast. I am satisfied. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because they actually sent 21 washers, not the 23 promised.

Shipping is a joke
Ordered two leaf spring shims for a truck we have down in the shop because your website says you "ship the same day". Put almost $90 in frieght on it for "2 day priority" to make sure it got here in time. A few days after I placed the order, the parts still had not moved becasue USPS hadnt picked them up yet. Received an email from TruckSpring basically saying "if you wanted them faster you should have used UPS". Great to know after the fact. So what your website SHOULD say is "we print the label the same day but when your product ACTUALLY ships is not our deal... A week later still no delivery. Truck is STILL tying up a bay costing thousands a day. For a $80 part. BTW- went on USPS website and it only costs $38 dollars to 2 day ship a package from Detroit to Denver, so why did I get charged almost $90? Ahhh the ol, "cut the price to beat the competitors and then make it up on the shipping game". Buy American, but not from these guys.
