We received clear details about the week’s tour and events unfolded as advised. The guides and drivers arrived well- informed and on time. The hotels chosen were central to services, high quality and welcoming. Our UME agent, Amy, had set all this up and then was instantly available electronically to answer our questions and to make corrections as required. We could not have been better managed throughout. This all made for a wonderful experience touring Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara and Osaka.

Travel Consultant Felix did a great job in putting together a proposal which he was open to modifying to suit our interests. Throughout the planning stages he was prompt and clear in his communication.
He also followed up while we were on tour to make sure everything was going well.
In all the locations we visited, the accommodation was very good. The tour guides and drivers did a great job as well. The guides accommodated our preferences for vegetarian food in the included lunches.
They were knowledgeable and patiently showed us around. The drivers were safety oriented and friendly. Overall a pleasant tour experience!

We had a fun and well-organized travel in Thailand. Thanks to UME travel I don't have to worry about where to go, where to stay, or where to eat. Amy l organized everything and I can reach her easily. At first, I was anxious because of the weather, but she gave an assurance that everything will be fine during the trip. The tour guides, Note and Kai, taught us about the culture of Thailand and even Thai words we can use during our stay. Our accommodations were superb in terms of our stay, breakfast buffet, and location. Food stalls, restaurants, and shopping malls are nearby and convenient.

Our family recently returned from a 9 day trip to Japan. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience working with Ume Travel and Carrie! From the initial planning stages to the actual implementation of our itinerary and the follow-up after returning home, the entire experience was exceptional.
Planning the Trip
Carrie worked with us to create a customized Japan itinerary that considered our family’s interests and the needs of our children. Traveling internationally with children ages 10 and 12, I wanted an experience that would be enjoyable for everyone, with a good balance of cultural activities, unique experiences, sightseeing, and fun. Carrie helped bring that vision to life and made the planning process feel manageable and personalized.
The Experience in Japan
The arrangements made through Ume Travel helped our trip run smoothly. We appreciated having private transportation and tour guides who communicated with us through WhatsApp, were punctual, and were helpful throughout our travels. Having those arrangements in place gave us peace of mind and allowed us to focus on enjoying Japan as a family.
Some of our favorite experiences included visiting TeamLab, exploring Tokyo, enjoying the excitement of the anime arcades in Akihabara, traveling on the Shinkansen, and spending time in Kyoto. We also participated in a ramen and gyoza cooking class, which was a particularly memorable hands-on experience. My children absolutely loved Japan, and I especially enjoyed discovering Kyoto, a place I fell in love with during our visit.

What a wonderful experience it was to have UME take care of everything for our trip to Japan. I gave them my itinerary, and they did the rest. The tour guides were there to pick us up and take us around so we could make beautiful memories. I had the best experience ever.
What an adventure! We kept busy every day with amazing support through each faze. The UME team had a great itinerary and understanding of Japan. We had many days of site seeing, shopping and eating. With time to take it all in. Discussions of history and current topics were exciting and exhilarating! This was a trip of a lifetime and UME supported us thr entire way. My only wish was we could have stayed longer!

Four people in our family recently took our first visit to Japan. We were very fortunate to book our trip through UME Travel. Ms. Grace Li helped us every step of the way and was always there to answer our questions. After we told Ms. Li what we wanted to do, she knew exactly how to best do it. Her arrangements for airport transportation, hotel accommodations, attraction access, and local guide were absolutely impeccable and flawless. To my happy surprise, everything worked exactly as Ms. Li said it would with no hidden charges. The next time that we travel to Asia, we will certainly use UME Travel again.
We felt like little kids the whole trip. No planning, no stress, just fun. Everyday we woke up knowing everything is taken care of and we can just enjoy the day. All of our tour guides were amazing and funny. All of our hotels were top tier. It was packed full of activities and excursions (our kind of holiday).
From the onset, working with the travel consultants working up an itinerary for us, our axcursions and accommodations were great.
The guides at each destination were knowledgeable and even the drivers making sure we had refreshments after each excursion were fantastic.

We liked the cultural background we have received from tour guide and the ease of touring without getting lost and feeling safe. Did not feel time was utilized very efficiently. Lots of disconnection between the tour guides and the UME as UME is located in China, not in Japan. Had to readjust accommodation at every hotel to fit our family need despite of assurances from the company prior purchasing the package. On the last day, we had to pay out of pocket to extend checkout based on flight time. Overall, the chosen public transportation to different sites was not efficient. On the last day, they failed to send us clear instructions on the transportation to the airport.
I discovered UME Travel accidentally while searching for southeast Asia tour packages. I wasn't expecting much and was very cautious thinking the company could be a scam. I sent an email inquiry and Amber reached out to me right away. Planning a vacation for a family of 5 (including 2 teens) can be challenging and there were countless revisions to our itinerary to ensure everyone's needs were met. AMBER @ UME was so patient and took the time to address all my concerns. Communication was always prompt and professional and when it came time to send a deposit I didn't hesitate! My family and I are now back in Canada and our 16day Vietnam-Cambodia-Thailand vacation was one for the record books! There were absolutely no issues with the airport/hotel pickups, tour guides, accommodations, activities/excursions, food, etc. I don't know how they were so organized across three different countries but UME Travel made our vacation dream possible. A big thank you to our tour guides Charlie (Vietnam), Channak (Cambodia), Monchai (Bangkok), Sam (Chiang Mai), and Lisa (Phuket).
