What people say

Avoid UPSIE. Despicable company.

*Second Update (02/17/24) - Upsie is now disputing these reviews saying "we have nothing to do with your contracts anymore, call [redacted]!". My contract says UPSIE all over it, and I have received ZERO emails or correspondence from anyone saying there's been a change (except, suspiciously, UPSIE via this trust pilot website). This, folks, is a good old-fashioned scam. While manufacturer service plans are more expensive, it seems they are more trustworthy than this. Want my review to go away? Then refund my money. I'd call, but you don't answer phones or respond to email. *Update - I have found multiple posts from employees of Upsie on LinkedIn confirming they have closed. Glad they swindled me out of $200. Scumbags. Not looking good. I paid several hundred dollars for a warranty for my new washer and dryer. 2 years into my 5 year plan, I need service. I have requested it several times in the past week, and have also tried to contact customer service - haven't heard a peep from anyone. Looks like others are having the same problem. Also, I checked on BBB, and they are showing as "profile being updated". Ugh.

Hello! In January 2024, Upsie's program was acquired by AKKO. Unfortunately there is no existing tie between the Upsie brand and Centricity, the company that provided your 5 year plans. Please post your review on the page for "Centricity" and if you believe your claim was denied in error or in violation of your agreement, do seek the help of your state's consumer affairs office. You should also try to contact Centricity directly first in regards to your claim. Your contract is still active!

Iphone 13 Pro- Upsie did the right thing- Handled Well

My son's IPhone 13 Pro, less than 1 year old, took water into the charging port and couldn't charge with a cable anymore. Everything else worked fine. He was able to charge, wirelessly. Started the Upsie Claim on a Thursday and had no problem getting thru to a live agent who gave me a case number. Gave us the option to go to an Upsie certified repair shop or Apple genius bar. Took phone into Apple store the next day and Apple said , phone could not be repaired due to water damage. Gave that information and official Apple diagnosis to Upsie on Saturday AM. At that point the rep from Upsie said , they need for the claim department to come to a resolution on what next would be done. By Tuesday, I called a few times with Upsie and always got thru very quickly to a rep, they asked some exact info on the model type, memory, etc. and said claims needed that info to make an decision. Tuesday, I was informed that they would either send me a replacement or they made a cash offer of $699. I took the cash offer and thought that was fair. I believe my 2 year policy had a $149 deductible for replacement. Had the cash into my account on Thursday via Zelle. All in all, I thought the process was pretty smooth and it was always easy to reach an Upsie rep. I think they did not nickle and dime me and gave me a very fair cash value for the almost 1 year old phone. Important to note. My son's phone was able to be charged via wirelessly so the extra days for them to complete my case, was okay. I think Upsie handled it very well and I am very satisfied with how this went. Their insurance is SO much cheaper than Apple or a carrier insurance plan, and it was handled well, in my opintion

Very hard to beat the premium and benefits of an Upsie warranty.

Haven’t had to actually use an Upsie warranty yet, but we’ve purchased multiple Upsie warranties in the past. Not a huge fan of the shift to a subscription model, but it’s still a great deal for the coverage you’re getting. We’re insuring two iPhone 14 Pros for less than what the carrier wants to ensure one and the benefits are better. Very hard to beat the premium and benefits of an Upsie warranty.

iPhone cracked screen Claim

I put in a claim for a cracked screen on my iPhone. The associate at Upsie told me if I opted to bring the phone to get it repaired in a shop where I lived I was to email the claims department with the claim number and the estimate from the store. He said I would get a response right away if it was approved or not. I brought it to the Apple Store and did exactly as I was told. I never got a response/approval. Four days later and I’m still calling Upsie to find out if they approve my claim or not. It’s the Apple store. It’s a cracked screen. It’s a very simple claim and a common one, I’m sure. I don’t know what the delay is but every time I call Upsie they transfer me over to the claims department and no one picks up. I’ve been on hold for up to 30 minutes at a time.

Awesome protection plan

I’ve been using Upsie now for about 2 years. Adding a plan is easy and everything is explained in great detail. I haven’t had to make a claim yet but I’m sure it will be a simple process. The monthly premium is affordable and if there is a deductible it is lower than any of the other plans I’ve had in the past and Upsie covers much more.
