They have lots of stock and offer some new ideas. I did notice they have to ship out Archery equipment for repair. It would be helpful if staff on site could assist like with the fishing reels in store. They took my rod apart and preformed some fish magic on it. My bow did not fair so well

Ordered a fishing rod. Arrived with a broken tip. Was offered a new rod. Then never got the new rod because it was out of stock. So I'm out the money for initial shipping and for having to return the broken item to a fedex location 30 km from my home...hence the reason for online shopping in the first place. So it cost me money and a lot of time to end up with no fishing rod.
I wanted to buy 2 boat chairs for my new Bass Tracker. 5 plus weeks later no seats. 10 calls mostly unanswered and the people I talked to were very nice but achieved nothing . Spoke to Hermantown GM twice, gave his word to handle the seats. Nothing! 3 emails, one to the CEO nothing! Crickets!
Don’t waste your time this hasn’t a clue what ethics are. Pitiful
Just sat down to look at the Bass Pro Shops 2026 MASTER CATALOG for fishing. 600 pages and absolutely no heavy mono or steel leaders, materials to make those leaders or crimps for those leaders. Worthless for a "MASTER" catalog
Beware that BPS requires signature on delivery AND will not let you pick up the package from FedEx even with ID and if you call them. I trusted them with a time sensitive order but because I work during the day, I now must leave on my trip without it. All that was required was a call to FedEx to remove the restriction but they refused even if the customer called and identified himself. What a fantastic company.
Bought a boat and feels like I am closing on a Mortgage! I am on day 7 and they are saying another 3 days before I can pick it up. The boat was in stock when I done the application and put a deposit on the boat. I may get buyers remorse and back out.
I bought a Sig GTO 9mm from them for over $2,500 for the pistol and out of the box 4 things were wrong. I wrote an honest review on the Bass Pro website, received a confirmation email and they decided to NOT post it because it was a negative review. I can tolerate a lot of things but this is lying to the public. If you only post positive reviews to raise the ratings, consumers are given misleading info... Honest companies would post even the reviews that talk about how the product has fallen short. To pay a premium to shop there and get this treatment, is just awful. How can I ever believe their ratings or reviews again? How can anyone?
This review is about Bass Pro Shops and Cabela' websites. I went to do a search for products I might be interested in on these sites. When I landed on their web pages, their sites would not allow me to search for products unless I would consent to allowing them to know my location. Don't get me wrong, I love these stores. But I don't feel they have to know my location to be able to look at their products. I know which store I want to shop at. If I decide to buy, then I will give them my address. Shame on them; they are not the only stores that I can buy sporting equipment at, and until they change their policy, I will not be buying from any of their online stores.
I was a Cabelas customer and club member before Bass pro shop bought it out. I continued with bass pro for years afterwards. The decline of service, online shopping, club point usage, and products is not Cabelas standard. It took 9 months to recover points earned from a club card never reieved. They kept telling me without the entire card number there was nothing they cold do. I finally talked with a willing supervisor who took the time to work the issue. The gift card replacement however took 5 & a half months to receive. I did not renew my club membership & will not do so. The points were not made readily made available online shopping. Somehow they would not show up on purchase. Most likely due to my technology challenged abilities. The products I purchased from Cabelas most big & tall clothing were deleted. I purchased a large portion of my informal shirts from them. The products Bass pro offered were not comparable (cheap junk) or size limited. I an not exactly a cookie. 6 foot 4 inches tall 270 pounds. Very limited most expensive lines offered in big&tall.Dramaticallydisappointing change from what was a prmere fishing & hunting store. Living in New Mexico makes online shopping a necessity due to limited stocks provided in fishing equipment. Navigation of Bass pro has proved frustrating. In closing the use of other resources available and navigable have become my go to. So long Cabelas certainly wish it did not have to end so miserably. Bass Pro do better.
I went to the Hooksett Nh Bass pro shop location. When I arrived at the service department I spoke to the service manager Chad Duquette. I spoke to the service manager about a can of boat spray paint that I had purchased prior. It was not the correct color for my boat that I have purchased many times prior in the ten years of ownership of my Jon boat tracker topper. Fortunately Chad was able to do intensive research to resolve my issue. I just wanted to make it known that he was very professional and courteous resolving my issue. Thank Eric B
Going to Bass Pro is my highlight. I've been to several stores. They get a 5 in my book all day..
But wait there's more to this story.
I'm a vendor that has been trying to get my product in Bass Pro for over 7 months. Even drove to there main office.
I'm just a old country boy with zero computer skills. Been in construction all my life. Heck my phone smarter than me.
After breaking 2 monitors and endless endless calls I'm still at ground zero.
There's got to be a easier process, people build products that stores sells for a profit. But does this only require if your techno savy? I just left a large hunting store. They TALKED to me and purchased my product that day. BASS PRO you got to work on this or you loose up to date products which pays bills.
FYI

1★ – Very frustrating experience with online order & customer service
I had a really disappointing experience with Bass Pro Shops Canada (basspro.ca) trying to purchase a Mercury 9.9 outboard that was listed on sale.
The website clearly showed the motor as available and allowed me to go through the full checkout process, including entering all my information and selecting ship-to-store. After that, everything fell apart. I was told conflicting information from multiple sources, and no one seemed to take ownership of the issue.
The store told me to contact customer support. Customer support told me to speak with the Abbotsford store manager. I was also told I would receive a callback from the store—which never happened. I just kept getting the runaround with no resolution.
In the end, they would not honour the sale price, even though the listing error was clearly on their website. That’s extremely frustrating as a customer who acted in good faith. Because of all the delays and confusion, it also ended up impacting a fishing trip my son and I had planned. If I had known this would happen, I could have gone to another store from the beginning and avoided the whole situation.
To make matters worse, communication just stopped altogether—my emails eventually went unanswered, and the item was removed from the website shortly after. From my perspective, that only added to the frustration and lack of transparency.
On top of that, email responses felt generic and impersonal, like they were generated by AI, which didn’t help address the actual issue or provide any real support.
Overall, this experience left me feeling like they don’t stand behind their advertised pricing or value their customers’ time. I expected better from a major outdoor retailer.
Very disappointed.
I had a very refreshing experience with Bass Pro Shops yesterday. Over the weekend my favorite fishing rod snapped because of some extreme pressure it was put under. A few days later I took the damaged rod to a Bass Pro Shops near me, and with no hesitation, they replaced it with a brand new rod. I was in the store all of 5 minutes and walked out feeling like I just dealt with a company that stands by their product and cares about their customers. Every rod I buy from now on will be from Bass Pro Shops, particularly the Jonny Morris Carbonlite Technique series.
Ordered a pizza oven. It arrived late & it was obviously either returned damaged not in its original box, or was damaged extensively in the warehouse. The box looked like it was taped up via a kindergarten class. The oven was dented up an lot, inside & out. There was no knob, no manual, the lid wouldn’t shut properly, & the gas line wasn’t aligned properly. UC we had used it, it would have blown us up. And because of no knob, no manual, & the way it was packaged, this was not done via shipping. It was done at Bass Pro Shop & shipped this way. Absolutely the worse ordering experience I’ve ever experienced.
I was looking to replace a reel. Julian was my sales representative. I told him what I wanted. He asked me a lot of questions. He showed me many models despite the fact that stock was low. Finally I saw a model I liked. It was a bit more then I wanted to spend but I got what I wanted. Thank you Julian.
I had a very frustrating experience trying to pick up a firearm order at Bass Pro Shops. I recently moved, and my driver’s license still shows my old address. I brought my valid government-issued photo ID along with my current vehicle registration showing my updated physical address.
Bass Pro’s own pickup instructions say that if the address on your photo ID does not match your current residential address, you may be required to provide a second form of government-issued documentation with your current physical address, such as a vehicle registration, voter ID card, concealed carry permit, hunting license, etc.
That is exactly what I brought. My driver’s license was my photo ID, and my vehicle registration was the supplemental proof of current address. However, the employee/manager still turned me away and acted like I was trying to use the registration as a photo ID, which was not the case.
To make it even more frustrating, I contacted several other local firearm shops afterward, and they all said that a valid driver’s license plus current vehicle registration is acceptable for this situation. So it appears this was either a misunderstanding by the store or an overly restrictive store decision that was not clearly explained.
I understand firearm sales require strict compliance, and I respect that. But customers should not be turned away when they bring the exact type of documentation Bass Pro’s own instructions say may be used. The process was confusing, poorly handled, and wasted my time.
Very disappointing experience.
Visited recently. The store felt stale and unwelcoming. Employees didn't seem engaged or happy to be there. I also tried reaching out to the business about an issue and got no response for two weeks – had to call myself to get anywhere. Disappointing all around.
Horrible customer care- after numerous years of having a credit card with this company with excellent credit rating they cancel my card for none use for 22 months. I lose my points - everything. Don’t trust this company.
