Horrible when you make a claim
I've had Choice Home Warranty for almost 2 years and just had a submit my first claim. It has been a absolute headache and some of the worst customer service for a warranty company. Do not us them! They are saying for my "unique" situation (leaking toilet) I would have to do 2 claims ($100 each claim) because I didn't note the issue that was caused by trying to fix it. They are extremely not helpful and seem like a scam. I had American Home Shield previously and NEVER had any similar issue. I had multiple services with them and never had any issue or headache. I can not even just cancel now because they will not refund or prorate for the month. Cancelling at the end of the month and going back to American Home Shield.

Don't waste your money with Choice Home Warranty
Don't waste your money with Choice Home Warranty. They will not approve on anything. I have a 3 yrs old AC and it breaks down. The company says since is a new AC they will not cover the cost of repair because is still under warranty. This is not the only incident. Another incident, when my condenser and drain line issue, they say they will not cover because is not under the normal wear and tear. There are many more incidents, that they will reject the repair work. Unfortunately, I got trick and sign with them a 5yrs plan and paid a lump sum. Will definitely not renew after the plan finished. I switch from American Home Shield to Choice Home Warranty and is a bad move. Don't get entice by their more affordable price/deals.

I am extremely dissatisfied with how my claims have been handled. My washer has been out of service for almost two months, and each time I request an update, I receive the same generic response that the matter is being reviewed. At this point, there should be further investigation into why this repair has been delayed for so long and what is causing the holdup. I also had a claim for my A/C unit. The first company that inspected it determined that the unit needed to be replaced. Choice Home Warranty disagreed and requested a second opinion. However, the second company came to the same conclusion, stating that the unit needed replacement. Despite two professional assessments reaching the same result, Choice still declined to replace the unit.

I submitted my claim almost two months ago, and dealing with Choice Home Warranty has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had. They keep claiming they can't find qualified technicians. The only technician they sent to my home showed up, collected the service fee, and then disappeared without doing any work. After that, nothing. No repair, no follow-up, no accountability. I've called customer service almost every single day for weeks. Every time I call, I hear the exact same script: "We've scheduled an appointment with a technician." Every single appointment has been a waste of my time because no one ever shows up. I'm tired of the empty promises, excuses, and complete lack of customer service. I paid nearly $2,000 for my home warranty policy, expecting peace of mind when something went wrong. Instead, I've been left with a broken system, countless hours wasted on the phone, and absolutely no service. It feels like they were happy to take my money but have no intention of honoring the contract they sold me. I can't be the only customer who has gone through this. I sincerely hope a group of attorneys will investigate Choice Home Warranty's business practices and pursue a class-action lawsuit so that everyone who has been treated this way can come together and demand accountability. Customers deserve the service they paid for—not endless excuses, missed appointments, and complete disregard for their time and money.
Very bad experience
Very bad experience, CHW doesn't honor claims that are pretty high value unit system issues/problems when clearly stated in the policy black and white that are fully covered failures due to normal wear and tear. It's a scam business and that's B%$#@S. CHW assigned a case manager, there not helpful to the consumer because they also work for warranty company and like I said it's a scam business. Other consumer with the same policy also has concern and issue with CHW.

When your AC goes out in AZ
A/C unit went out and put a request in to Choice. I'm in AZ with excessive heat warnings flashing daily. Choice can't find any service appointments for 13 days. Customer service has been outsourced to the Philippines and no one seems to care. There are plenty of places in the valley that can make appointments on the more emergent basis but apparently none of the ones contracted with Choice. I've called 4 times now only to hear the same story of 'you're in the system and we're working on it' yet I never hear anything until I call them. Is the next step that state attorney general at this point?
