I’ve bought from and returned items to JJ’s House before and have always been pleased, so was surprised when I had to return some items and they didn’t refund me correctly. I contacted them on the app and explained that I’d only received £23.01 of a £69.99 order. They came back to me and said that I hadn’t returned all of the items from the order, when I most certainly have because I didn’t even take all bar 1 out of the box! I explained this, and then the excuse was that they don’t refund postage and taxes. Disappointed, I tried to explain to them that the actual items weren’t refunded, not the postage and tax but they simply repeated themselves, sending pictures of data that were too small to read. I challenged this again and told them I couldn’t see the pictures, but they’ve stuck to the postage and taxes point. £40+ on postage and taxes? Absolutely not! I’m really sad, as I was planning on buying accessories and matching things to the bridesmaids dresses I’ve bought and asked people to buy from here, but now I just want to get something completely different. Unfortunately, I don’t have the budget to do this, which means I’m stuck, as I can’t even return the dress (or ask people to return) because apparently this company can’t be trusted not to scam their customers. For a bride on a budget, this was beyond disappointing and without a resolution, I will have to encourage my entourage and their upcoming wedding parties to avoid JJ’s House like the plague, lest they go through what we have.

The reason would be that when you initiated the return, the incorrect number of the items was chosen. Therefore, the first return was initiated when the label was auto-tracked. Custom made dress? Dont bother! I recently ordered a dress with my specific measurements and it came really quickly, too quick! It’s as though the dress has been thrown together. The sleeves are not lined as they should be, only an open lace sleeve and when on, the back zip is not central. The bodice length sits high on the waist when it should lie on the hip-line. I knew it was a gamble and unfortunately it didn’t pay off. £200 wasted! It’s ok saying you can’t return a dress that’s custom made but when the quality is so poor a full refund should be made. I have never been so disappointed. My size is very much a 10 by their figures but my waist is 31” as opposed to 27.5”, so not really much in it. Based on this I don’t understand why the dress is such a disaster! All in all very shabby workmanship for the prices charged! Update 19/02/24 I have contacted JJHouse confirming my disappointment as requested by themselves and sent photos to support my review.

I was nervous about ordering from a company abroad, but I have found this company is very good. Make sure you read the T and C's about returns and the Try On scheme, then you know what to expect. They supply lovely dresses which are good quality for reasonable prices.
