I was in Lowes to buy something I needed. I was approached by a Lowes / Leaffilter rep. She talked me into getting a free estimate for a Leaffilter gutter. I agreed kind of reluctantly. A salesman came to the house, measured the length, then explained the system taking at least an hour of my time. He gave me a price which was much more than I expected. When I said, "No." He did some calculations and reduced the price somewhat. I agreed. The installer came, looked at the house and told me they couldn't attach the gutter because my house does not have a facia edge. The salesman somehow did not realize this. So, the installer had to reschedule and attach the gutter using upper straps. The installation looked good from the ground. I did not get a ladder to inspect it closely. This is my vacation home. Months later, I arrive at the house and find that my 6 year old asphalt shingle roof has been leaking just above the new gutter. I got a ladder and found that the shingles were raised in several places above the new gutter. Above the leaking area a shingle was torn at a gutter strap. I contacted Leaffilter. An installer came out. He said that the straps that were causing the problems were from the old gutter and that Leaffilter could not help me, but he would clean off the unexpected debris that had settled on the Leaffilter screen. He took a power blower on the roof and blew it off. I climbed my ladder after he left. I saw that a section of the filter screen had fallen down into the gutter. I had a roofer from Infiniti Roofing look at my roof. He gave me an estimate of $1600.00 to properly repair the roof. He also stated that Leaffilter should hold some responsibility since I did not have an issue until they installed the Leaffilter gutter. I contacted Leaffilter again. I was told that a local manager would call me within 24 hours. I received no call. So, why didn't the salesman know I didn't have a facia as is needed? Why didn't the installers mention that the old gutter straps might cause trouble? Why didn't someone call me back? I bummed 3 shingles from my brother and did a rough repair myself on the leaking area and hope that no new leaks develop.

Avoid Leaf Filter !!! They guarantee no clogged gutters. When they do clog they charge a $150 “trip fee”. To come out and check their “guaranteed” no clog gutters. What a sham !!!

About 2 years ago,in February 2024, I decided to get gutters with Leaf Filter Guard installed on my house. The pushy salesperson came to my house and started hustling me . He started with a price $24000. Yes 24K dollars . Remind you my house is about 1800 sq ft and it has trees in back yard that she'd leaves. After 2 hours of hustling, we agreed to a price of $3600 , with gutters, Leaf Filter Guard , installation and life time warranty too. The Leaf Filter Guards with gutters was installed on March 4th ,2024. March 7th evening, it rained like hell and the leaf Filter Guard did not do their job. They were flooded and overflowing from everywhere. I made numerous recordings and pics of water overflowing from various places and leaves and debris clogging the leaf Filter Guard. I called the salesperson, who connected me to the manager who connected me to the installer to check the issues. The installer came couple times to my house ,in the next months ,to unclog the leaf Filter Guard. Then he just told me to climb up the roof myself and clean the leaves and debris from the Leaf Filter Guard myself. He further told me that I might have to cut down my trees to get rid of leaves and debris from clogging the leaf Filter Guard. Since then ,I have climbed my roof at least once a month to clean the leaves and debris from the leaf Filter Guard. This has been a very expensive nuisance for me . And a total waste of my hard earned money. In fact i have done more effort climbing roof and cleaning my leaf Filter Guard . My wife and neighbors watch me ,because they're worried i might fall off roof and hurt myself one day.I have called and texted the salesperson and manager's ph # numerously. But they do not reply or return call or reply to text messages anymore. I need Relief . Or my hard earned money back. Does anyone have an answer ? I just read that leaf Filter Guard was sued in 2023 and loss the law suit too . Do I still have a say to my issues ? Who do I call ? Help !!!

I scheduled an estimate, then changed my mind and canceled. That was just a few days ago. Since then, they have been calling me non-stop, despite my pleading with them to leave me alone. Once this company has your phone number they will harass you with calls non-stop! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Do not buy if you expect a hands-off system DO NOT waste your money !
I hired LeafFilter Gutter Protection based on their pitch that I would never have to clean my gutters again and i will havee lifetime warranty Less than a year after installation the micro-mesh filter clogged completely with roof grit and pollen. Instead of flowing into the gutter, rainwater now cascades over the side like a waterfall. This overflow caused water to back up and pool near my foundation. When I called customer service to honor the warranty, they blamed my trees and refused to send a technician to change the brokebn part of teh Gutter filter they installed without a high service fee $150 as travel fee !!!!. Do not buy if you expect a hands-off system DO NOT waste your money !

Our gutter broke in less than one year. We called several times and spent more than 50 min to get through someone and get an appointment solve the problem. than we have been told that we have to pay $150 upfront!!!. We paid a lot for their service and yet the service is so bad and nothing true about life time warranty !!!. DONT HIRE THEM

Bought the leaf filters 2 years ago…
Bought the leaf filters 2 years ago very good job on installation just way over priced. Couple months after had a leak in corner called for a repair but kept getting no reply. Did the repair myself but when they re levelled the eavestrough it was done done propee as it points towards corner of house. Sales men is really slick but i advise dont go with the financing he will say its only one week deal to pressure and liaten for the price my 20 feet was 4000 dollars my wife singned not knowing it was a rip off. The quality of filters are questionable you have to blow them off every year still and pollen clogs them up but keeps everything out of gutters. 3 of five stars customer service and price lowered the stars.

1Leaf Filte Scam
1st, It appears to be a good and functional product. The young salesman was 2 hours late (no call). He spent an hour measuring and drawing and talking to his manager. When we started the discussion he went directly to the book. I told him that I had done research and didn't need his presentation. He stammered and wrote down a number. $7890 MSRP!! "But you won't have to pay that!". "Are you Military?" NO, "Senior" Just look at us!. "AARP member" NO but AAA! ""I'll make that work". "So you cost will be $5200". WOW we said, $2600 off and no dickering!! "If you do Flex Scheduling I can lower that." OK. "We can do this next week". NO I just had foot surgery (true) and I can't do it until the middle of August. "OK, so that gets you price down to $4190". Another WOW, "You don't have to pay ANYTHING until the day of installation". OK. "I just sent you a link to your email, please open it" OK. The Email has a link called "PAY NOW" and they wanted me to provide a CC number. I said "NO!!" We're done with the scam called Leaf Filter.

We have over flow problems because we…
We have over flow problems because we have a high pitch. Leaf filter is the ones that installed the gutters on my house. I'm starting to think they installed the wring size onbmy house (too small). They have been out multiple times and have still not been able to fix this issue. They come unannounced and do not tell me when they are coming and that's if they decide to show up.
Would not recommend.
Update in reply to Leaf filter: I have called you guys multiple times and explained my issue multiple times. You guys "escalate" my issue but no one has solved my over flow problem due to your product.

Our gutter broke in less than one year
Our gutter broke in less than one year. We called several times and spent more than 1 hr to get through someone and get an appointment set-up. They set an appointment at 8am today (6/19/26, Friday). We had to had to wake early to and be ready to receive them but they never showed up. they did not call at all. We tried calling today and no one answered our call. We paid a lot for their service and yet the service is so bad. They don't even answer calls.

My overall experience ended positively, and I appreciate that LeafFilter stood behind the work and made things right.
There was an issue at first because the sales-side plans did not fully match what we had discussed. A section of the house was missed, and one of the downspouts was placed differently than expected. That part was frustrating and could have been avoided with better planning.
However, once the issue was brought to LeafFilter’s attention, they followed up quickly and sent the original installers, DetroitGutterCompany, back out to correct it. DetroitGutterCompany was excellent both times. The crew was professional, helpful, and clearly cared about getting the job done properly. They listened to the concern, came up with a good fix, and corrected the issue in a way I’m more than happy with.
I’m giving 4 stars because the original sales/planning issue should not have happened, but LeafFilter deserves credit for responding quickly and making it right. DetroitGutterCompany especially deserves high recognition for the quality of their work and how well they handled the correction.

Leaffilters gutter protection is a joke
Leaffilters gutter protection is a joke. Had my gutter system installed last year. I called them because my gutters are plugged. Requested a tech come check my gutters, $150.00 is what they want to send someone out to check my gutters. They are not to be trusted, don't use this company they won't stand behind their product. Please don't trust them. Consider you have warned.

Glib Pitch is Mandatory so I Refused Service
Just had someone come out to quote on our aging gutter replacement. He wanted to go through a long and fast-paced pitch. I asked him to measure and quote what he'd recommend. After leaving him to accomplish that, he knocked on the door a few minutes later to say that he'd spoken to his boss and they could not do business with me unless I listened to their pitch. "This is not how we do business," he said. I declined to endure the pitch, thanked him for coming out, then sent him away. After he departed, I noticed my gate key missing. I found it the lock, which was hanging from the gate, now unlocked. With a pool on site, this creates liability. Not a good at all experience!
Edit: Called another company, local. They sent someone over today to estimate. Friendly, professional, to the point. No slimy sales narrative; responsive and thoughtful questions and responses. A quote is expected this weekend. That's how it should be!

Yea, LeafFilter has a warranty...Bhahahaaa
I had my gutters upgraded by LeafFilter about 5 years ago, and after 5 years they leaked and the wood rotted. But never fear, I assured myself, they have a great warranty. That's why I paid $Thousand$ for the job, but I WAS WRONG. First they charged $150 just to inspect the damage, and $500 to repair it under warranty. So I accepted the cost of the repair since my painter was ready to start. Then in the middle of the repair, the man from LeafFilter saw he didn't have the right tools to finish the job, but he assured me, he put enough Silicon filler in it that it would never leak. Finally, only one person was sent to repair the damage and he wasn't able to take the gutter down. He just pulled it back far enough to fix the wood and filled the joints with Silicon so they wouldn't leak. And if they do, he assured me, there's a "warranty."

We have a few pine trees in our area so…
We have a few pine trees in our area so there are lots of falling needles. My gutters have a 90° corner and the needles pile up and clog the corner. Also there are pine needles sticking in the mesh all along both sides of the gutter. So much for the gaurentee of no blockage. We'd be better off without the ridiculous guards. Absolutely disappointing as I have to get on a ladder and clean the mesh.

The reason we installed leaf filter is to avoid having to clean my gutters anymore
The reason we installed leaf filter is the commercials and the selling pitch is 'never go up on your roof again". They show seniors struggling to clean gutters and preach that they will never clog again. That is the furthest from the truth. In fact after just talking to their service department you need to clear the gutter guards twice a year which is double the work I did before. A terrible product and a true scam. In fact they have a service department specifically to clean off the product at an extreme price, it's a rip off. Do not use. I just wish I could attach pictures and videos of how bad this product is.
