What reviewers say

AI generated

Most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Consumers frequently face sudden account lockouts without any advance warning and struggle to reach customer support. People note that automated chatbots and online contact forms are completely unhelpful when trying to resolve urgent and frustrating login issues. Some reviewers were happy with past experiences, noting the email provider used to be reliable and very easy to set up. Others mentioned that the platform was quite functional, offering good features and a superior service before recent updates. A few users also pointed out that basic features worked exceptionally well for standard free accounts previously.

No Support, Just Ads and Random Bans.

I recently decided to give mail.com a try. I live in the EU, created an account, added some aliases (which I already used to register on other services), received a few legitimate emails, and even sent one message to mail.com support. Today I logged into the app and saw a message saying my account was blocked due to “irregular activity.” I don’t even use a VPN. No explanation, no reply from support — just silence. Honestly, I don’t even feel like wasting words on this service, but here it is: mail.com is a clumsy platform with zero real support, constant ads, and unstable account handling. The only nice thing about it is the @mail.com address, but since they can randomly block you for simply existing, I strongly suggest staying away from this so-called “service.” I had read reviews mentioning sudden bans and thought those were just complaints from spammers — but no, it’s true. mail.com blocks accounts for no reason at all.

Mail.com blocked my account twice

Mail.com blocked my account twice. And I even have to write in to retrieve my password. I tried but I was being blocked again when I was searching for my password. They dont have password reset functions. They are wasting my time. Don't use mail.com. Just hope mail.com is being removed from the website. It's a nightmare. Horrible experience.

This Top mail server is getting more comercial

I have used mail.com now for many years. Never had any problems. The App on the telephone is top. I have also send mails with an attachment of almost 1mb. Lately i tried to send an email with less then 1/4 mb and it refuses. Why? They want you to get premium. Sorry, but Premium has lotts of extras i do not need. The price therefor is much to high. More comercials and less performance. Looks like making money now is the main goal.

Most fraudulent

They closed my account after 1,5 months not using it and said it wasn’t used for more than 6 months. Data to credit cards were in there, I’m guessing mafia hacker activities and pure fraud is their main job. Do not use these criminal accounts.

This is my 3rd attempt to leave a review I have used mail.com for many years unfortunately I lost my password when changing phones I’ve spent 3 weeks trying to recovery my password on every available way on mail. Com but still no response it’s 3 weeks now and am still not able to access my account I’m disappointed to say the least 1/10 on this matter

Beware of Behind-the-Scenes Policy Changes!

I've used Mail.com’s email service with both paid and free accounts for several years, and without any notice, the forwarding stopped working. When I asked customer service what happened, I got months (literally) of run-around (including trying to imply that it was somehow MY fault, and lots of other blame games) before they finally admitted it was a deliberate change for the forwarding feature to only work for the paid accounts — with no announcement, no option to review and approve any updated Terms of Service, and clearly designed to push users into paid accounts (which have become WAY more expensive over the years). This is deceptive and unfair, and they refuse to do anything about it. Customers deserve transparency, not behind-the-scenes policy changes and evasive (to put it kindly) support. I would caution anyone considering Mail.com to be aware of these practices.

I have been using mail.com since the 90's and with no issues. Unlike gmail, where they delv deep into the 'non of your business' questions realm, mail.com setup is plain simple and straight forward. Face it, phishing and spamming occur on all platforms. I have read reviews of mail.com notifying users to move their accounts to other providers before a particular date or lose it all. If you check where these emails are coming from (just click on the 'from sender' dummy) you will immerdiately see it's not from email.com. Bothered by the ads ? ...any ad-blocker will suffice if you can't bare it. You will not get any issues from them for this. This is a non-intrusive and reliable email service.

blocked on first day using

I signed up for a new email account. Sent a couple of emails which I need to see the replies to ...but blocked out of nowhere! Looks like I'm not the only one to have this problem. Highly unreliable company, still haven't had any reply from them. AVOID

Its lost its weight with adds

I have been a mail.com user for many yeare and its always been great, no issues. Yet they recently sold us out to advertise, and they are getting more and more Intrusive, bang in the middle of an email an add will appear. No control over them but alas you can turn them off quickly so they dont last, hence why im still using mail. For now.
