I have used stamps.com for many years
I have used stamps.com for many years. They have made it so much more expensive with negative services. I needed a refund for postage because the electricity went out and i could not reprint. They would not do it over the phone . I mailed it in as instructed and it has been almost three months and it has not been refunded. They used to have a very modest monthly fee for small users. But now it is very expensive.

Hi Laura,
I sincerely apologize for the experience. Checking on this for you, I do show one pending request for a misprint for you for $2.72 and rest assured that I have credited this for you. We take your feedback seriously and we would like to make your experience with us a good one. If we can help further, please let us know by emailing [email protected]. We apologize for any delay regarding your misprint request. All misprint refund requests must be sent to, reviewed, and approved by the USPS before being credited back to your Stamps.com postage balance account. When you purchase postage through our software, the postage is purchased directly from the USPS.
Sincerely,
Paul

They make everything take 2-3 days longer to get. Don't use and avoid businesses that do.

Hi Brandon,
I'm really sorry to hear that. That’s understandably frustrating. While we don’t handle the delivery process directly, as we do not deliver packages or handle delivery in any way, if you're a customer of ours, we’d be happy to look into this further and help however we can. Could you please contact us at [email protected] with further details? Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

If I could give less than 1 star I…
If I could give less than 1 star I would. If you are not a business, do not use Stamps.com. I know it is a pain to buy stamps and make the trip to the Post Office, but I have been so disappointed with this service since I started using it (for personal use.)
First, they charge a monthly fee ON TOP OFF the money you have to load into the account to pay for stamps. The subscription fee does not goes toward postage.
Second, I have lost money on stamps that did not print correctly. They do allow for reprints, but for whatever reason, the stamp would not print on the sheet that I had loaded. After loading a different sheet with a different serial number, it would not allow me to reprint and.... money lost.
Third, I've also heard from people I've sent letters to that the mail has taken an exceedingly long time to arrive. Friends who use the service... it was sent on 5/2/26 and postmarked 5/8. I did not receive it until 5/15 and we live in the same state, 3 hours away from each other. One recipient of flyers I sent out said it took over two months to receive the flyer. I don't know why it takes so long to send a letter.
Lastly, when I attempted to cancel my service before my next billing cycle, the website popped up a message saying something like, "We don't want you to go. Would you like to sign up for the $0 subscription plan and just pay for the postage you use." I thought, "Sure, that sounds like a good deal" and this would allow me to still have the convenience of not having to go to the post office. However, when my next billing cycle rolled around, yep, they charged the normal $21 subscription fee. Clearly, this is just a bait and switch to keep getting more money out of their customers. So now I have a service I don't use for another month, I'm out another $21 subscription fee and another $10 that was loaded into my account to pay for postage. Oh, also, they don't apparently refund anything less than $25 that is left in the account for postage, and even then, it can take up to 8 weeks to get it refunded, if it actually ever does. I have lost all faith in the integrity of this company.

Hi Jennifer,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear your experience hasn't met your expectations.
While the monthly service fee does provide unlimited access to your Stamps.com account, it does not add postage funds to your account. We apologize for the misunderstanding regarding this. Rest assured that we do offer the ability for customers to request and refund postage if a misprint occurs. We also offer a free tech line to support and diagnose any printing issues customers may be having. We are sorry that we did not have the opportunity to assist you further with these issues.
We’re sorry to hear there may have been some confusion about our refund policy and we want to make sure you have the correct information. We do refund amounts under $25. Upon account closure, we refund purchased postage balance remaining in the account. Postage balance refunds upon account closures do not take 8 weeks. Once an account is closed, you can typically expect it to be processed within 3-5 business days.
We want to assure you that using our PC Postage service has no impact on your delivery times. Once your postage is applied and your shipment is handed off, it enters the standard USPS mail stream and is handled exactly as it would be through any other postage method. All packages are processed and delivered by USPS according to their standard shipping and processing timelines, so you can expect the same reliable service you're used to.
In regard to the billing cycles and the $0 subscription plan, as stated in our Terms of Use, we bill at the end of the cycle for the cycle you started with. When a service plan change takes place, the new billing always goes into effect at the end of your next cycle.
We have carefully reviewed your account history and have found the service fees that were applied are in accordance with the Service Agreement to which you agreed.
However, your satisfaction is very important to us and we have determined that a refund will be given. We have issued a refund in the amount of $62.97 to your credit card. Please allow 3-5 business days for this credit to be applied to your account. The credit may not be reflected immediately on an online statement. Please allow one billing cycle to pass before it is reflected on a paper statement.
If we can clarify further, please let us know.
Sincerely,
Paul
Stamps.com makes it far too easy to miss their monthly subscription fee. It's poorly disclosed, and they send zero email notifications or statements about it — even when there's no activity on the account.
Yet every single postage purchase triggers an immediate confirmation email. How can they notify me for tiny purchases but not for charging me $15–$20+ every month?
I only noticed because I checked my credit card. Very deceptive billing practice. Had to contact support to finally cancel.
Won’t use them again. SCAM! Watch your statements carefully.

Hi Katya,
Transparency is something we take seriously. Thanks for your feedback. Customers always have the option of reviewing their Account Fees in the Reports section of their software, which is available at all times under the Expenses tab.
We apologize for any misunderstanding regarding our fee structure. We hear your concerns and we fully disclose our fees before any account can be created. We don't advertise or offer a free or pay-as-you-go service, and as disclosed and explained during registration, we do charge a monthly fee after the 4-Week Trial Period.
The fee we charge gives you access to services of the Post Office and the license to print official U.S. postage. It’s a flat fee that is not determined by how much postage you print. Stamps.com is a vendor licensed by the USPS, and all paid postage goes directly to the Post Office. In order to offer our standard service, we do charge a monthly subscription fee, as stated in our Terms of Service: www.stamps.com/conditions
We never charge people without their full agreement during our online registration process. Our service fee is not based on usage or activity. The monthly subscription service fee that Stamps.com charges is for access of the Stamps.com software, which allows customers to print postage from the comfort of their home or small office using just a PC and a printer. Our service is a monthly subscription service so it’s not based on usage of the software, but rather on having access to using it.
We believe in full disclosure, and information about our fees is available on our website, interface, Terms, and FAQs.
Your satisfaction is important to us! Rest assured, we have issued a courtesy refund in the amount of $100.00 to your credit card.
Please allow 3-5 business days for this credit to be applied to your account. The credit may not be reflected immediately on an online statement. Please allow one billing cycle to pass before it is reflected on a paper statement.
If we can help you any further, please let us know.
Sincerely,
Paul

Billing for unnecessary fees
I had to have a Stamps.com account to run my business Shipping Easy account. I was billed monthly fees for both (totaled over $50 mo - was not told I didn't need to continue with the paid version of Stamps.com). I never received a monthly invoice, never notified of upcoming charges or yearly renewals. Did not take responsibility for lack of contact - cancelling was difficult. Will be looking to move to a different shipping partner for my business that does not use Stamps.com. Unfortunate since I am very happy with Shipping Easy.

Signed up for a free trial account, after that I read the reviews and was disappointed so downgraded my account to free account in less than 48 hours,
Free trial was 30 days, and I cancelled within 48 hours,
But I’m being charged !!!
Unfortunately I used my crypto.com credit card which is from comenity bank ( garbage) and have no hope for dispute!
Had to burn my card to ensure they are not able to charge me again!

In regard to free plan switches, to clarify, and as indicated in the email confirmations, we bill at the end of the cycle for the cycle you started with. When a service plan change takes place, the new billing always goes into effect at the end of your next cycle.
The charge you were seeing was for the old plan rate, the previous month of service. We always bill at the end of our cycles, so the charge you are seeing is for the previous cycle of service.
If we can clarify further, please let me know.

Paul
If I could provide ZERO stars, I would. This is the absolute worst company to deal with. Their system is faulty and does not work correctly.
I have experienced numerous issues with their website and their app. They are constantly trying to find workarounds for several issues, but they are only temporary solutions.
Working in IT myself, I have performed all troubleshooting (clearing cache & cookies), using different browsers, closing tabs, closing windows, going in incognito mode, and even tried using the app versus the website numerous times!!!
Ultimately, you end up having to call them to get help, which only proves to be more wasted time because you end up speaking with a representative who doesn't know what they are doing and just ends up wasting much more of your time. They spend most of their time apologizing rather than addressing actual concerns or addressing the issue, or providing resolutions.
This requires a callback from a supervisor for further assistance since the reps cannot assist with literally anything. They are literally on payroll just to answer phones, so you feel like you're going to get help, but they never actually provide any help.
Representatives also constantly talk over you, so you have to constantly stop and repeat yourself, literally dozens of times; further delaying matters immensely.
Then, when you are promised a supervisor will contact you within 2-4 hours, and you wait 5-6 hours with no callback, you call them to find out what is going on, only to learn the previous representative never submitted the callback request.
Not to mention the other issues I have experienced.
Not getting funds added to my account.
Software issues with the website not allowing access to shipping tools, and being forced to use the app.
Trying to update payment methods, but their site is too slow and times out.
Trying to update payment methods using the app, and it prompts you that your payment method was added successfully, only to not see that it was added; and performing the steps numerous times both on the web using different search engines and numerous times using the app.
Then being asked to take screenshots and provide it to them, which I had done more times than I can count, just for them to say they've passed it along to IT and someone will get back with you via email.
Then, to make matters worse, their so-called IT department only makes matters even worse by actually creating ADDITIONAL issues that weren't there previously, and not being capable of correcting the issues that they themselves created.
While I like the concept of Stamps.com, their platform is unreliable, their IT department is incapable & unqualified, and their customer service is absolutely horrible!
AWFUL EXPERIENCES, time and time again! I was only with them for 3 weeks, but it was 3 weeks' worth of headaches, continuous phone calls, and lengthy phone calls lasting several hours each time. Three weeks too long! Find another platform, you will thank me later, or curse yourself for not listening to me.

They advertise that they offer certified mail but they do not, you will waste a bunch of time looking for services they claim to offer but do not. They also do not respect their users by not allowing you to cancel subscription on their website they make you waste more time by contacting customer support.
There reply is a blatant. Lie i spent 20 minutes trying to use certified mail and having my ai agent parse their website to ultimately tell me that you cannot access it from their website you must download there desktop software. I waited more time on their website trying to figure this out than i did standing in line at the post office. Do not ever use this service i paid $21 for a monthly subscription on the premise of false advertisement because they purposefully make it hard to cancel by requiring contacting customer support during buisness hours. I hope a politician makes this practice illegal. There are plenty of other options that do not require a subscription. Note, while on the phone i was able to get the refund for the charge. So i bumped the review up to 2 star. but i should have been able to immediately cancel my account through the website when i first realized i would not use it. I should never have had to call them.

Hi Tyler,
Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the experience. Rest assured that we offer Certified Mail, as promised, and we offer two methods of adding this service. For ease of use, we make electronic forms and services available. If you prefer more traditional methods, you can always manually complete forms for USPS Certified Mail, Registered Mail, or similar service forms that attach to a regular mailpiece. You just have to obtain and handwrite the postal forms yourself. We are sorry that we did not have the opportunity to assist you further with this issue.

I use this website daily and I HATE it.
I have used this website daily for almost 10 years. I HATE IT. But, it's still slightly cheaper than using USPS.com.
Why do I hate it ?
extremely clunky and slow. It's not my PC or internet. New PC and fiber internet. It's the website itself.
You log in, then there's a wait screen. You paste in the address and there's another wait screen, you put in the weight another wait screen, so on and so forth. The really irritating one is when you click each drop down menu there's a wait screen. WHY ?
My newest complaint is they took away the receipt feature. What good does it do me to print out a bunch of shipping labels to save time and then have to go and physically write each tracking number down on each work order. No thanks. I've been having to do that for over a week and I'm fed up already. FIX YOU RECEIPT button. Jeez.
Lastly and my biggest complain. After ALL the wait screen and manually putting in settings (that you should be able to save in a profile) then there's the ever shifting pricing.
put in all the info, hit all the check boxes and it says it will be "$x.xx" much. Then you hit the print button and guess what......ANOTHER wait screen and it just randomly decides whether it's gonna charge you more or not. I get it I'm in Oklahoma where gambling is legal but if I want to gamble I'll drive to the casino. Fix your junk website it's 2026 not 1996.
