Reply from SteelSeries2026-08-03

Thanks for the honest feedback. We get the frustration on both the price and the delivery time — 7 days is a rough wait. Appreciate you calling it out, and we’re taking it on board as we keep working to level up the overall experience.

Customer service honestly

Love my headset just to start off, but lord have mercy the customer service when you buy from the site sucks. They take hours to respond in messages when you do get an agent, sometimes days. And refuse to be accommodating on the highest level instead choosing to hinder and or outright deny reasonable requests. My suggestion is if you like the product buy through a third party where you won't have to deal with them.

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-30

Thanks for being this honest about your experience. It means a lot that you love the headset, and it’s clear our support didn’t feel like it matched that level. We checked your interaction and while most responses came back within about 1–20 minutes, with one reply that took around 3 hours to replicate and check on the issue. We understand that when you’re stuck and waiting for help, even a few hours can feel like forever. On top of that, when we have to stick to certain rules around payments, logistics, or warranty, it can easily feel like we’re just blocking reasonable requests instead of trying to find a path forward. That’s on us to explain better and handle more thoughtfully. Thanks for the feedback!

Good customer service

I had a good experience with customer support agent Kyo. Everything from quick responses to amazing resolution, Kyo made sure I keep doing business with Steelseries.

Not worth

Overly expensive for a headset that randomly changes volume and cuts out for no reason. Actually angry I bought these

1/5 Stars - Dangerous Fire Hazard & Appalling Apex Pro Mini Wireless Quality. Avoid at all costs.

I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience with the Apex Pro Mini Wireless has been so infuriating and genuinely unsafe that I feel obliged to warn others. Do not spend your money on this. You expect premium quality from a £200 flagship keyboard, but what I received was a masterclass in cheap manufacturing and defective hardware. After just over a year of normal use, the board suffered a cascading series of total failures: Dead RGB LEDs: Some Colours Completely stopped working after a year. Software/Firmware Failures: The device utterly refuses to perform firmware updates through the SteelSeries GG software. Dead Switches: The function keys have completely given out and stopped responding. Severe Safety Hazard: Most alarmingly, the internal battery has swollen inside the case, turning the keyboard into a literal fire hazard and a danger to keep in my home. A quick search online confirms I am far from the only one. There are numerous reports from other customers experiencing these exact widespread defects, specifically the dying LEDs, persistent software issues, and the extremely dangerous battery swelling. However, the worst part of this entire ordeal has been SteelSeries Customer Service. Despite having a product with four major manufacturing defects, including a known and dangerous fire hazard, SteelSeries has taken zero responsibility. Because I misplaced the original paper receipt and could not track down a digital copy, they have refused to help me. I offered the device's serial number so they could verify the product, but they hid behind their receipt policy to avoid addressing a critical safety flaw in their hardware. The level of pushback I have received is ridiculous. Any other reputable tech company would immediately address a swollen battery issue regardless of a misplaced piece of paper, simply out of concern for customer safety. SteelSeries is perfectly happy to charge £200 for a "premium" product, but they will completely abandon you when their cheap components fail and put your safety at risk. Save your money and buy from a brand that actually stands behind its products.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review, even though your experience has clearly been very frustrating. The issues you describe with your Apex Pro Mini Wireless isn't something we've heard before. In your case, when we checked the serial and purchase timing, the keyboard was already outside its warranty period and we weren’t able to verify proof of purchase, so we couldn’t process a standard warranty replacement. Instead, we offered a 25% discount code toward a new device as a goodwill gesture. We know that still may not feel like the outcome you were hoping for, but we do have to follow our warranty and verification rules consistently. If you’re able to locate proof of purchase later on, you’re welcome to share it with our support team so we can re‑review the case.

very nice,i like

Expectations more than met, i had a mix up with my purchase for accessories and they had it sorted with great timing and professionalism. Very clear communication and it felt human, not from a script. That's something you can see and tell the difference of right away

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-30

Really appreciate this feedback. It’s great to hear we could fix the mix‑up quickly and that the communication felt clear and genuinely human, not scripted—that’s exactly what we’re aiming for.

My order was delivered and wasn’t in my premises until after a day I found it in front of my doorstep the box was messed up looked open and reclosed so I returned then it took a whole month till the process my refund and at the end of the day they said that there was nothing returned or a different item was in there what a scam

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-29

Thanks for explaining what happened from your side — finding a beat‑up box on your doorstep and then waiting that long on a refund would frustrate anyone. In this case we had to wait for the courier’s investigation to finish before we could move on the refund, which added more delay than we’d like. That, combined with the confusion about what was actually returned, clearly didn’t feel good on your end. We’ll review this type of case with our delivery and returns partners so that investigations and updates are handled faster and more clearly. If you’re open to it, please reach out to our support team with your order number so we can look at your specific case again and confirm where things stand.

The experience was slow but at the end successful. Like I wrote before you can improve this process by letting the customer know all the steps ahead. Thanks, again.

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-28

Thanks for hanging in there and sharing this honestly. Glad the run ended in a success, and your note about showing all the steps upfront is spot on—that’s how we make the quest log clearer so players know exactly what’s coming next.

Awesome service

Awesome service I have never encountered a faster and more polite and friendly customer service ever. Congratulations to the guys that make the whole annoying process of a warranty claim into a positive experience!

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-28

Big thanks for this review. Warranty claims aren’t anyone’s favorite side quest, so hearing that the team turned it into a positive experience and kept it fast and friendly means a lot. We’ll pass the GG on to the squad.

Steelseries Arctic 7s a decade of use

I bought the Steelseries Arctic 7s and they lasted me a decade of daily use. I had to replace the earcups 6 years in. Very comfortable product and highly recommend

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-28

A decade of daily Arctis 7 use is awesome—thanks for gaming with us that long. Glad the earcup swap kept them in the fight and that they stayed comfy the whole way. Appreciate the recommendation, GG.

Well run claim process

They made the process very easy to go through, however since I had purchased the product secondhand I was unable to fully file a claim so I ended up fixing the product myself, I will say that adds a more challenging factor to the warranty/repair process as lots of people don’t keep receipts. Otherwise I would say I have been very happy with my product and they did a great job of following up on the warranty claim.

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-29

Appreciate you sharing this. We’re happy the claim process and follow‑up felt smooth, even if buying secondhand made it harder to finish the warranty part. Your point about receipts and secondhand gear is good feedback for us as we keep refining how we handle these cases.

The entire process was good

The entire process was good. It was procedural and well reasoned. I think I can appreciate why destroying the old device is necessary but it left me without a mouse for a few days. That’s just one data point. There was never a point where I was left in limbo as to what was happening and shipping was quite quick.

Reply from SteelSeries2026-07-29

Thanks for the thoughtful review and for walking through the full process with us. Great to hear it felt clear, well‑structured, and that you always knew what was happening, with fast shipping on the replacement. Your point about having to destroy the old device and being without a mouse for a few days is really useful feedback—we’ll keep that in mind as we look for ways to make RMAs less disruptive in the future.
